Yea…I have mixed feelings about it.
Wish it was easier for generations before, but also glad that it’s getting easier for those who are coming out nowadays.
Definitely a mixed bag of emotions.
It’s fine if it was easy, but it’s kind of a slap in the face when you don’t acknowledge the history of hate towards LGBTQ+ individuals, especially Black Queer people.
Not to mention the ongoing hate.
Even just a simple… “I understand it’s still so difficult and impossible for some to come out still, but it gets easier.”
It does get easier. ❤️ Especially when you’re out of high school.
Please know that Joshua comes from a very religious family. His dad is literally a pastor. And because of his upbringing he now struggles with personal stuff. Coming out in that moment when he was ready was easy. However the build up of acceptance over the years must’ve been tough.

Well, good for you, buddy! It has been a couple of years for me and even until now, I couldn't muster the courage to speak the truth about my sexuality. :( There are a lot of factors that affect me (and for sure, others like me as well) which are really hard to not consider. I hope and I truly wish the day would come that I can finally just walk around knowing I am already being myself and that I am living the best life I want to live.

I don't know you, but I love you. Because you're real, breathing human like the rest of us and deserve that. You'll always have and had my full support. The world is full of unwanted hate but you just gotta ignore it no matter how hard it is. And it's become so easy to spread that via social media. Sometimes people don't understand fictional characters aren't real, but the actor is a real person who feels like us. Like Selena said, "Kill them with kindness" and it has always worked for me. Stay strong and enjoy your life to the fullest. We, especially with what's going around, are so lucky to see another day. And take maximum use of it to love somebody, including yourself. ❤❤
