      I have two Noesis 110s in my condo. I don't have a subwoofer because of shared walls, but these go low enough for me and can still feel the bass. Definitely endgame for me and have no desire to upgrade. Currently powering them with a Benchmark AHB2, considering a second AHB2.

    Way too cool! great review! Seeing these, I wish I had this knowledge when I was building my HT. Using the 110's as the full bed layer with a couple good subs would be awesome! Consistent identical sound. I ended up mixing brands, not ideal.

      It's never too late 😜. I know there are some big changes happening in the John house already anyway, maybe a JTR 110HT speaker system could be one of them.

    16:05 Great review mate. I’m still puzzled by the “why” around the choice to engineer a speaker like this, big driver but doesn’t go lower. Only curious as my mains have 10” drivers and they go quite low so there is more flexibility with the crossover depending on your room . I’d love to hear JTR one day - I don’t know anyone down here with them.

    • @SpecOfTech
      @SpecOfTech  10 місяців тому +1

      Thanks brother. I believe JTR chose to keep the low end limited so they could achieve the stated 124db of output, while still remaining lower distortion. If they were to provide too much low end, the distortion would increase as they got louder. I also think part of it is because they are a speaker designed for surround duty, so they don't "technically" need a lot of low end if used as intended.
      I would love to hear your Krix system one day too. I'm really curious about their speakers. Maybe it's because we can't get them down here, you always want what you can't have lol. Thanks for watching buddy.

      DIY, has some grear potential.
      I am going to make a infinite baffle sub from my old towers to suplement the two I have no. Never enough bass right? 🤪 (as long as it is precise and well integeated).
      The Hammramr is a bit above my budget, but I listened to them at a show last spring, and they are great.
      I have Monitor Audio Bronze 100 for my bedlayer, and I love them. The detail and clarity, and how they disapear and make my room disapear when listening to music in stereo, is just insane. Might be nice for you to try the Monitor Audio too🙊

    I've had this exact thought, 7 or 9 of these (4 being angled) but ultimately they are too big for a non-dedicated room. Honestly this is how I'd design a speaker tho, coaxial for off axis, and high sensitivity with less bass because bookshelf speakers need a sub regardless in my mind.

      SourcePoint10 SLAMS. Tremendous amount of midbass punch. Whips your standard 6-7” bookshelfs. They’re low distortion as well and are likewise tuned/built to maintain composure at higher levels, but they dont sacrifice bass the way 110HT does (much larger cabinet volume + ports). I’d do SP10 all day long over 110HT unless you absolutely HAVE TO HAVE the ridiculously high SPL. In fact, I’m trying to figure out how to upgrade my HT size from 12x14 to 16x18 so that I can use SP10 and SP8 all the way around. I’d create a false wall or columns at the sides & rear to make the SP10’s look like they’re flush. Plus they’re an open, airy, nicely detailed, exciting, spacious sounding speaker. I’d do SP888 for LCR, SP10 for sides & rears, and SP8 for heights & Center Height.
