  • After several months of stress and anxiety over my shop situation, the move is finally complete. My tools and remaining equipment are safely in storage, and I’m ready for a break. I’m not sure how long that break will be, but I hope it’s long enough so that I’m able to come back refreshed and ready to work.
Thank you all for your viewership over the years. I had always hoped, but never expected to make a living at this. I’m grateful that I was able to. By far it has been the most interesting job I’ve ever worked. I’ve learned a lot and hope to employ that knowledge when I return to making videos at some point in the future. Till then, bye for now.
If you’re not familiar with my situation, check out the video links below for more info.
    Thank you for watching!

That hit hard. I've learned two things from you: how to fix my car, and how to look positively towards challenges. I've been a subscriber from 2008, and will continue to be. I can't wait for you to turn on the lights in a new shop, Good luck Sir.

I started watching your videos back in 2011 when I was still in high school. Growing up, my family didn’t have much money and all the work I ever did to my $500 94 Saturn SL2 was mostly learned from your channel. 11 years later, nothing much has changed. I’m still watching your videos and still learning. In fact you’re the reason why I drive a Civic!
Furthermore, throughout my high school and adult life, I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety - both of which have been calmed thanks in part to your channels.
I appreciate from the bottom of my heart the blood, sweat, tears, and time you’ve given to your community. Have a great break and stay dirty!

I remember watching your videos as a student in school for automotive, then as a professional technician, and lastly as an educator. You’ve been a piece of the automotive world of mine since the beginning. It’s truly strange to see this shop closed down for the final Time. As all things in life having an end I’m hoping it’s only the end of the shop and not the end of your amazing content. Take the time you need to get rested and I’m excited to see the way you continue to bring out some of the most interesting, accessible and entertaining automotive UA-cam content. Until next time.

Thank you for giving me the last 7 years of educational videos, compared to another popular guy - you're the high quality original. From the extensive diagnosis and repairs to reminding us all to stay calm and address the basics - all motors are the same just shaped different. The amount of platforms you showed us proved that. Everyone has different reasons, but I really wouldn't have survived unless I did my own repairs because of expenses it just is what it is. Thanks for all the work you did Eric, I realize that you've been doing this longer than I've been a viewer - so If you ever see this, Id still like to see videos from you in the future even if they're not mechanic tutorials - maybe you could do occasional performance video's. I know you weren't a speed shop but that was always something I saw you doing.

Back in 2010 when I discovered your channel to fix the AC in my sister's Saturn... I was chasing an issue and it happened to be the low side pressure sensor, you commented and said to take a paper clip, sure enough that was a good way to determine what needed replacement. With your diligence in diagnostic and troubleshooting you've inspired me in the past and in the present. I'm sure everyone in your community appreciates the work you've done and thank you. You aren't the hero we deserve but the legend we need.

Eric. You have been a inspiration and an amazing mechanic. I wish you best. You can still do videoes and give advice based on questions or do troubleshooting stuff. You will be missed in the near future.
Looking forward to seeing you on here....

Hey Eric I want to thank you for all this year's, because of you it's that I learn how to do my own work on my car. Watching your video now and seeing the shop empty breaks my heart. Wishing you the best and hope to see you soon.

This man's knowledge has helped and saved me on my Hondas more than I would of ever imagined... it all started with the bouncing 90s honda idle. And even still to this day I reference his videos for those who can't afford a mechanic and need the little tricks and tips Eric offers. Thanks again for the years of help and look forward to your future videos

    Eric-
I am beyond words, extremely upset about this whole thing.
I don't take change very well. I know you will blossom again
when rooted properly. My loving arms go out to you, Sir.
I can't watch this video, I'm to upset. I'll check my feed for
updates. Please be careful. Millions care about you.

It really is the way to go. I wanted to get back to inventing stuff, but you've gotta have a lot of space.

I've followed your channel for a good couple of years now and by sheer coincidence I'm driving through Ohio and I'm 2.7 miles from your shop as I come across your video.

You were the first car guy I ever watched and I never even turned a wrench back then and you opened up a whole new world. Thank you Eric! Please and I beg you, make yourself and your family and loved ones happy first, I know you will but I thought I'd say it anyways. Thanks again!

I'm sure gonna miss you man. So sad to see your lift being donated away because that said you're gonne for a long while. I understand it and wish you the best, man you're worth waiting for so here's hoping to see you back on the saddle soon. You've been my car repair bible for several years, recommended you to many of my DIY friends. I've done from timing belts, ball joints, wheel bearings, control arms, cv axle restores and replacements and much more and all with you on my phone walking me step by step. Can't say how many tools I've bought without regretting any of them based on your recommendations alone. All the tools have gotten cointless use and are still in my arsenal. None of those repairs did I ever think I'd be able to do had it not been for your videos.
You have a gift of explaining car repair in a professional, logical and articulated manner no car repair show hist can ever equal. I will continue to watch your archive of videos as well as the ones you'll be putting out. Enjoy and thank you.
