TheRealJims part of me thinks it's crazy you are this in depth with your Simpsons analyses and wonder if you did this for yourself prior to creating videos on the topics. The other part loves you for being this "obsessed" as I am enthralled with your observations and theories - hardcore fans sift through scene by scene but you take it to a whole new level - this part of me is the one that immediately subscribed and watches faithfully. remember when the simpsons timeline made mostly sense and was cute like the backstories we got of the kids births and homer and marge meeting and getting married and seeing a flashback to lisas wedding and the future and then after about 7 seasons of building up such a cute backstory for the entire family it was like well fuck that emotional grounded relatable cute stuff that made you like these characters more in the first place and made them feel realistic, now lets just do flashbacks and flashforwards for the sake of it even if it contradicts the past episodes cause we can't think of anything else and its just easier this week for them to make fun of the 90's and grunge music for example than actually make an episode in the current timeline cause they would actually would have to write a script instead of just 90's puns and music jokes.....aren't the new episodes so clever?...that is the main reason why I agree that the simpsons died after season 10..the last episode should have been behind the laughter....the rest seems like fanfiction and the heart was gone by season 5 anyways...homer for the first 3 seasons was a normal guy...sure a little jerky and slow but still caring loving competent and great father and husband who just had to deal with the everyday struggle of raising a family in a terrible town and going to a job he hated and making a few bad selfish choices ....he wasn't a monster or an idiot until about season 5.........what happened...
I prefer the Barthood route. Obviously Barthood doesn’t fit in with the rest of the show very well, especially the other future episodes, but I prefer Bart becoming an artist
@@dalesajdak422 The idea of Bart wearing many hats is more interesting than anything for me, so long as he FINALLY gets to see the Itchy & Scratchy Movie.
What's funny is, the Futurama crossover may actually be considered canon, because several episodes that came out after it still show Bender in the basement, and they even interact with it a few times. That's really clever because they rarely do that kind of thing.
gamesEnlisted In Family guy the simpsons is a tv shiw yet they get a crossover and Peter and Homer talk About FOX and how the other shows inbetween their shows are garbage
When you look at the Simpsons as a whole, it feels like one of Grampa Simposons Rambling stories. What if in the end, it turns out the entire show was just he ramblings of a very old Hommer. Constantly contradicting himself, but there is a story your can make sense out of.
Logical theory but it is not a good theory for the show due to fact that it means the whole show fake which makes the show unrelatable to the audience. It make the episodes like Lisa's Substitute pointless to the audience due to none of the events actually happening (according to the theory)
Kearney should be confirmed as policeman eddies son...they look alike...how funny would that be if one of chief wiggums main policemen had a son who was criminal like Kearney...also jailbeard should have been confirmed as either jimbo or nelsons dad and same for one armed gunshop owner herman as one of the 2 kids fathers and also Cletus the yokel could easily be dolphes father cause of how different they act cause dolphe is articulate when he speaks and cletus is not but yet they both have red hair......it just made sense to me as a kid...snake really looks like he could be jimbo or nelsons father and herman for sure could be jimbos dad..
Yeah, I don't think they had drones or Trump running for president in 2008, even though drones were in a flashback episode and Trump as president has been in one or two modern episodes
To avoid confusion, I tend to throw dates out of the canon and say the show takes place around the year of 2010 due to all of the electronics that the characters are seen using.
Leer Wesen that's what I was thinking and because Bart was younger at the time his parents didn't tell him about the cryo tube yet, since it seems more respectful, especially if Bart loves his grandpa as much as it's implied in this video
Leer Wesen dude he could of died and put in the grave and then NEW TECHNOLOGY comes out and they buy of rent grandpa a tube and he comes back to life How did nobody come up with this it's a FUTURE episode not a present episode
Callum Pin tbh the cryo tube must have not existed after grandpa died for a few years. im not sure yet but, i keep thinking if the cryo tube didn't exist after grandpa died for the few years then, how would his body be still there while it didn't get eaten by his digestion or idk. his body must have bones left though. eh probably my explaination is wrong xddddd
The future scene with Bart being a Supreme Court Justice is personally my favourite. Its one of the few times we see Bart actually have a successful future, instead of him being a mooch or a slob and Lisa being the successful one.
Every future episode contains some reference to him going to law school, any episode made before boyhood is a reality where bart is a mooch, after is where he's an artist first
Milhouse is basically a soyboy weak, meek and submissive. while Lisa is a feminist/nazi control freak and with the Tendencies to believe the boys are stupid. she will always go with the one that will submit to her no matter what. remember their child's Zia is only about 1% Milhouse do you do genetic manipulation and Lisa's personal choice. While Nelson her other romantic prospect is the exact opposite. which besides physical attraction Lisa has for that prospect she would never go long-term. because he would never completely submit to her and then her feminist indoctrination would kick in and she'd break up with him.
CharlotteHowls glad I'm not the only one,Nelson was the one she interacted with the most ,the other crushes, including millhouse, were only seen once,so it makes perfect sense😉👍🏻
come on hes a fan first...how could he forget itachy and scratchy the movie where bart becomes supreme court justice leader...aka the one time homer was smart and really tried to be a great father after season 3....its like forgetting the end of separate vocations ...you can't forget how sweet the bart and homer an bart and lisa emotional bonding endings are in those 2 wonderful classic episodes...
@@MrGrass97 Actually, I don't think it'd shake out that Lisa's the one who appointed Bart. They both appear fairly young in the episode where Lisa's president; they can't actually be 'young' since you can't run for President until you're at least 35, but it makes sense to me that they're pretty gracefully in their forties in that episode, while in The Itchy and Scratchy Movie's future Bart looks like he's probably in his fifties or sixties at least. On top of that, he's clearly not practicing law during Lisa's presidency, which is a pretty important prerequisite. Add to that the fact that Lisa's absolutely not the type to be that nepotistic, and I don't think she appointed him. I wouldn't be surprised if that name recognition helped him a whole lot in his appointment, though. He was probably appointed by one of the next two, possibly three administrations, and they'd definitely recognize him as 'President Simpson's brother, the guy who saved the country from bankruptcy by making China think they weren't cool anymore'.
I really liked Nelson and Lisa. I felt like while he wasn't smart, he wasn't dumb enough to think he was smart. He acknowledged grades weren't his big thing and he feels insecure about it, but he knows what he needs to know, and I think that self-assuredness is really attractive
I am surprised with the attention to detail this wasn't mentioned, but it did not involve a character directly. I really hope he doesn't get fired for this blunder.
I like to consider Barthood to as canon. It's a genuinely touching episode and easily one of the best in the past 10 years (not that there's much competition). It's also got the most realistic depictions of the future. I know it's a parody of Boyhood but it's still great.
I consider holidays of future passed cannon to…it’s so awesome and touching. The best thing about is everyone gets along in the end….I love that epic Beatles reference….I could spend hours in that cathedral!
While that definitely makes sense, I feel as though it’s way too fast for her to become president in less than a year after that. Maybe “Maggie Jr” was Maggie’s second or even third child.
@@marinadeel6297 I wonder what kind of job the writers had in mind for Lisa to be doing during that time? Maybe she was a congresswoman or something, so becoming president wouldn't be that big of a stretch.
No!! you are not the only one!! i totally think Nelson is better for Lisa than Milhouse!!! it's not bat to be super psychological with ficctional characters!!. Please, do a video about who objectively is better for Lisa: Nelson, Milhouse, ¿Ralph?, i think that Lisa and Nelson complete each other so good that is not a coincidence, menwhile the Lisa-Milhouse thing is more like the kind of love Marge and Homer have. It's so interesting but no one has touch the subject ever
there are real character arcs- paradigm shifts, dynamic- in barthood. the other future episodes just have static characters in a hyperbolic future. except kearney becomes a family crony (though he is competent).
I think you did the best job of summing up the chronology, Bart ends up a Supreme Court Justice, Lisa ends up as President & Maggie is a singer. Those things are the most consistent. Days of Future, Future was the worst one IMO & you still even made me appreciate some of it's call backs.
This is a great explanation, I like the idea that the episodes just paint a picture of what "actually" happened. That being said, Futurama does the future so much better 😆
I prefer Lisa/Nelson myself, even if Milhouse/Lisa does have some cute moments. I always thought Lisa felt like Milhouse was too much another brother to her, him being Bart's always-around BFF.
Haha, that was a theory I thought they were building to around Seasons 15 or 16. My theory was that Moe and Selma would end up together. Not just because of that little joke in 'Scuse Me While I Miss the Sky. But because they established that Moe is good with Maggie in "Moe Baby Blues" around the time, and then Selma adopted Ling from China. I thought they would be kind of an appropriate couple because they both have so many episodes about looking for love, and both of them are considered so repulsive by everyone else. They would be cute in how unattractive that couple would be. Their personalities would probably be pretty dysfunctional and hateful together, though. (Also Moe loves Marge, and would probably settle for her sister. A marriage of alcohol and cigarettes. Homer would probably hate it, however.)
here's a theory: what if homer, after getting a robot body and being cloned so many times, lives to the year 3000, and becomes known as "bender" somehow forgetting who he was before becoming a robot and befriends fry because of his similarities to bart?
Junior Cruz but maybe that's what bender wants people to think, cuz bender is so prejudice against humans that it's comical. So what if bender wants to seperate himself from anything human. Hence his hatred for humans and fake origin.
My theory for the Grandpa being both dead and cryogenically frozen is that he slipped into a coma and nobody noticed until much later. After all, it's established that he slips in and out of coma's all the.... French Toast, please!
6:22 In season 9, where Homer is looking for deductions for his tax, and uses the boat painting as a business gift to Marge in which Marge replies "i painted that for you" IT'S WRONG! YOU'RE WRONG! THE WHOLE DAMN SYSTEM IS WRONG! AAAAAH!
Browseasaur and in the tedious extended couch gag just this past Sunday Lisa insults the painting as generic & cliche or something as if she didn't create it
The Simpsons is one of my all time favorite shows, but it had been a few years since I'd really dug into it. I've still got the first 9 seasons on DVD, but hadn't been popping them in as often the last few years as I had in my younger days. This channel has done a lot to rekindle my interest in the show.
I'd like them to keep making future based episodes they're always so interesting and have just the right amount of humor and heart, we need some more storylines with Lisa's daughter Zia, Bart's sons Kirk and Picard, and Maggie's baby daughter
Yeah, I've been thinking that the Simpsons loves to do episodes with fantastical elements that don't connect to the larger timeline, like the treehouse of horror episodes, the future episodes and that the Serfsons episode that I kinda feel like maybe they should do a whole spin-off show dedicated to it. Like, a different dimension of the Simpsons world where fantastical elements happen regularly. Like, Dr. Colossus, Kang and Kodos, Itchy and Scratchy are characters who show up in this world's Springfield, magic is real and so is futuristic technology. I think it might make for a cool spin-off show. Also, sorry for the long reply to an old comment.
I found ways for all of the inconsistencies to make sense. For the death of Grampa in Barthood, Homer could've decided to freeze his father when Bart was still a kid. Homer would not tell anyone as that sounds like something he probably would do. Nobody would find him and they would assume him dead, building a grave out of respect. Now let's talk Maude and Mrs. Krabapple. I would think that after Homer was used as a testing dummy for ressurection by clones, it would become widespread and maybe even a commercial business as years go on. Both Ned Flanders and Principle Skinner would pay for their lovers to be brought back. Like my ideas?
I have to admit, that thumbnail of Homer talking to an adult Lisa on her wedding day... There's something really sweet about it, to the point where I kind of get misty eyed. We're already past the date where her wedding is *supposed* to happen, but that honestly doesn't matter to me. It's still a heartwarming moment, regardless of how far into the future it is (or whether it even happened at all in Simpsons canon).
I'm actually amazed about this someone really took his time and patience to do it amazing I'm speechless I would like to shower you with compliments and more but sadly I'm watching this great video
Fun fact: Barts kids did have there names revealed in the Simpson tapped out as Jeff and Skippy. Since he did not mention it in the video, I’ll mention it here.

15:05 - 15:19 Actually both of the episodes can exist in the same time pretty well: In the episode "Holidays of the future past" you can spot grandpa´s headstone for a brief moment which is relieved to lead to a hitten holloway. If you go downstairs, you will eventually came across the cyogenic tube´s. It's the same headstone from the Barthood episode. He could have been in there for a while, you know?

Actually, the Simpsons are quite the musical family. Homer, Bart, Lisa and Maggie all perform in various contexts. Bart forms a band with Ralph between working in demolition and Law school. Lisa and Maggie are both also shown with musical talent. Actually, it would make perfect sense Bart having the natural talent for Law as he has spent so much of his childhood figuring out exactly what he can get away with.
Dr. Frink seems to be the wild card fir the series. Time travel, resurrection/cloning, and any other future f***ery could be explained away by Frink bringing science into the show.
This is a terrificly done vid, sir. It's well informed, consistent and well written. It got me hooked for the 20 minutes without caring about the lenght. Also, I'm not a native english speaker, and your clrar pronunciation was easy to follow up to the last word. Congrats!
Holidays of Future Past was actually intended to be the finale of The Simpsons so I think that’s the most cannon the show has ever been with the future. The show was actually going to end over salary disputes and the writers wrote the episode fully intending it to be the last one. But of course the disputes were put to rest and the show continued on.
Why in the fuck did they keep pairing Lisa with Milhouse? It just seems so undignified to her character. It would be one thing if Milhouse was some kind of sympathetic loser with some redeeming quality, like he's an artist or scientist, but he's just a wimpy pushover who's fondness for Lisa always came off creepy and undeserving.
The thing that grosses me out about Lisa/Milhouse is that they never portray Lisa as being all that into it. It kinda feels like Milhouse just wore her down over time and Lisa just settled. It's kinda unsatisfying for a strong and confident character like Lisa. It would be like Marge marrying Moe. It feels like the show is telling us that Lisa actually prefers Nelson, but understands he isn't serious relationship material.
TheRealJims okay think of it this way. Lisa is so independent and reliable(and bossy) that she really only chooses Milhouse because she can easily get him to do what she needs done while still having somebody who would put up with her family. Milhouse just happens to be the submissive in the relationship where as Lisa obviously has to be a dominant personality in her relationships. Nelson while a cooler story line would get in the way of her goals as an individual.
Days of future future always seemed like a full-on Treehouse of Horror extended skit They might as well have played "accidents will happen" over the Homer death montage
Man it's crazy you made this and Mr Lisa's Opus came out at the end of 2017. I'd love to see you do an extra seconds on that one. I love the idea that Lisa's the reason Homer stopped drinking and I like that they kept that detail in pretty much all the future episodes, even the one that came out before.
Commenting this on an old video, I don't know if you'll see it. The Simpsons are an important part of my life and one of the only links I sometimes feel to a more innocent self I once was. I've been struggling with addiction for a few years, and when I'm feeling too shaky to even handle the emotions of watching the Simpsons, I watch your videos. It's comfortable and reminds me I'm still a guy who loves the simpsons like you. Have a great rest of your year buddy, you make a difference.
Didn't Marge in one of the older episodes say that she painted that sailboat? Anyway, you've probably heard of the theory that Homer has been in a coma since the early nineties and every episode since then is Homer's imagination. That could explain the Simpson timeline and why some details are the same in all the future episodes. Because Marge and their children talk to Homer when they visit him, and some part of Homer can hear them. And when something important happens - like Lisa going to Yale - they talk so much about it that it influences Homer's imagined adventures. Lisa's presidency is probably happening only in Homer's fantasy. My guess is, that he fantasises about it during an election year, because everybody is talking about the next president. Perhaps Bart studies law and becomes Chief Justice of the Supreme Court because he feels guilty for his role in Homer's coma and wants to compensate. This theory also explains why the Simpsons usually don't age, because Homer only remembers Bart, Lisa and Maggie as children.
Yes, in the episode Homer has to work with the IRS, Marge said "I painted that for you." Sometimes retcons like that, aren't so much the writers wanting a better story for that piece of history, as it is them forgetting pieces of history.
What if the show is in Bart's memory when he's much older and sometimes he mis-remembers certain details about his life, like whether it was Lisa or Marge who painted the boat painting?
And in yet another episode (the one where Marge is an author) the picture is titled "Scene from Moby Dick" and presumably not painted by any family member.
The scene in Barthood where Bart gets upset and says "I gotta talk to grandpa about this" then hops on his bike and rides PAST the nursing home and to the cemetery, damn that always makes me break down sobbing ;-; Thank you, this video was awesome. This is the type of video I look for, analyzing in depth and you did very well, I followed you 100%
You've absolutely nailed it. Like a reassuring mentor in the midst of this great confusion. I'm not too keen on Lisa ending up with either Millhouse or Nelson but I wholeheartedly support Selma and Moe.
Great video Jim! I had been following you for over a year now (maybe more, maybe less) and I really enjoy these keep them coming, I will keep watching. And maybe, if I I have some more courage I will comment again.
I'm learning English to become a teacher of English, and this video is "excellent" as an educational tool for teachers. This chronological analysis about such an epic show is beautifully done on so many scales of good and is also very interesting to anybody, therefore, it's pleasant to train our ears and brains in a non-native language. I'll use it for teaching purposes now on, so, thank you! :D
@@meowjak technically yes, I completed 3 out of 4 years of the teacher training college, but it was taking too long and I also didn't care for the title of teacher of English, so I quit college and now I only give online lessons
Man this old intro sequence of classic big time moments needs to come back!!! I just went on a trip down memory lane and it was amazing, Jims, we need this format to come back!!!!
I would love to see you try to work in all those clips from that one really messed up abstract couch gag, you know the one I'm talking about. Where we watch how the family degrades into senseless, abstract representations over untold eons
I don't feel like the deaths in Flanders' Ladder was really canon, if Simpsons Wiki says Days Of Future Pass isn't canon then the deaths shouldn't be canon either.
The situation where Abe Simpson gets frozen and Bart visits his grave can happen at the same time under one condition: Bart did not know Abe was frozen at this time.
I have only just stumbled across this channel. I just want to say how amazing I think it is! You can tell you have put a lot of work and research behind the scenes into each video. I really like your voice too, I listen to these video all the time before and after work! Keep up the good work!
Honestly, I think the future episodes are all Canon in a way, but the thing is as things happen the future changes. Similar to how in The Sims 3 future expansion how you can go to the future today, you'll have a great(35) grandson named Jared but when you come back and live a few days then go into the future again and then you'd meet your great(33) granddaughter Jacky. Things change from moment to moment and the future isn't truly written. You say you'd do something so the future is set for that until you make a split second decision and change it.
Lisa has had 10 years to save for university/college. Hypothetically she could squirrel something away. She can code so despite being a child there is a lot she could do. Just as an 8 year old obsessed with college you'd think she would do more than grades for it. She did use money on a poker site but that didn't work out because of age. However she's smart she can do something right?
I think that's how they should renew the simpsons, focus on the future with bart, lisa and Maggie as adults. The show up until now has focused on homer and marge as adults, with the other three as kids. But due to the time passage now, they should make some of that affect them and age them.
The Simpsons is a set of bed time stories told to you the viewer from Homer Simpson's perspective in the future. Things like the Behind the Laughter Episode are literally part of the story he tells. This is why there are details like Doctor Hebert referencing to saving Homer from the 3D dimension. He's got a lot of senility like his Grand Pa before him so he gets a lot of details wrong. Oddly, enough like most old people my father included he as a sharper memory of things that happened a long long time ago and is actually fuzzier on more recent happenings.
What if Abraham (Grandpa Simpson) was put in the tube by choice knowing that he would pass away soon, and the Simpsons family would all agree except Bart because of his love for his grandpa. Soon enough Bart would eventually agree so his grandpa would live longer by being frozen in the tube.
I loved this video, quite interesting to see where all the characters end up in the future. Yeah, I have to admit, some of the future episodes don't fit in right with the timeline. Maude flanders died very early, not making it able for her to be in the future. :/ So maybe only some future Simpson's episodes correlate with the main timeline. While others are non canon.
I love the music you use in the beginning, it just automatically gets me pumped and like "yeah this video is going to be awesome!" Granted, I think all your videos are interesting, but still. It sets up the hype.
I heard somewhere once that "Holidays of Future Past" was originally supposed to be saved as the series finale of the show, and tbh I kind of wish it had been. Sure, there's been some modern gems since that episode and it's by no means the perfect ending, but every time I rewatch it I get this feeling of catharsis seeing these characters I grew up with getting to grow up as well. Also, since the series premiere was a Christmas special it would be nice to have the finale as a Christmas episode too. Tbh the thing that makes me most disappointed in the fact that this wasn't the finale is how Days of Future Future directly follows it (no offense to people that love that episode but I'm not a fan). Since the show carried on, I was excited to see these future versions of the characters again, but I was just left disappointed. Also, has anyone else realized that if we take the characters' modern ages super literally, for Lisa to be 8 years old in 2022 she'd actually have to be born at least 3 years after Lisa's wedding is supposed to take place???
So about the age This one dude who I think writes the Simpsons said he would end the series by having the final episode be that it's them preparing to go to Springfield elementary for a Christmas show aka the start of the first episode so the entire show is a time loop So if they do go with that it would explain why they don't age but can spend 24 years trying to kill a 10 year old Now I don't really like this cause well there are limited resources, Moe can't suddenly regain his fortune the same way he got it in the past, before the loop starts and so on
What if, because of the nature of the Simpsons timeline being a floating timeline, all of these were canon at some point, but split off and become impossible as the show continues. Each future episode just becomes it's own separate canon
Watched all your Simpsons Timeline videos and as someone who's been watching since the early 90's, I've always thought to myself how fucked up the continuity is. I never really put any thought into it of course because it's just a cartoon, but your theories were just good fun to watch regardless. I can't really imagine anyone out there takes the Simpsons timeline seriously, as the writers themselves obviously don't.
For me, the Family Guy and Futurama episodes are canon. There’s been references to Peter Griffin and Bender prior to the “official” crossover episodes so it isn’t much of a stretch to believe that they all take place in the same overarching “Fox cartoon” universe. Also I’m not gonna lie, I love the joke that Stewie Griffin is such a crazy psychopath that he even outdoes Sideshow Bob.
I always figured future drama was a what if scenario that actually showed glimpses of what would happen. That explains why barthood isn't futuristic but there are continuity nods
For the record "Moe Gets E-mail" was also predicted accurately to an extent. He mentions receiving a scam e-mail from a Nigerian Prince in an episode from a few seasons ago.
The futures we see in these episodes represent the futures that would happen, if Bart and Lisa were to turn 11 and 9 the year following the airdate, but they're retconned every year when they stay the same age. The future is on a floating timeline too and some of the events in the future change based off of what year they're moved to.
I was thinking that the reason Homer and Marge are in the background is that they're past their formative years and they really just stay the same, so why not focus on the people who changed... Then I wondered if the reason Homer and Marge don't change is that the writers know we all wanna believe that they'll stay the same forever, even if everybody else moves on.
So... I just found you and im binging the mysteries videos first. I know this vid is 5yrs old now but would think it would be a cool exercise to find out just how much time has passed, like in days. how many days have these characters experienced in total.

Kearney has the deepest lore.
he's got to be the weirdest minor character in the whole show. what's especially weird is that he's apparently a lot older than he looks
LoL
Kearney should be confirmed as policeman eddies son...they look alike...how funny would that be if one of chief wiggums main policemen had a son who was criminal like Kearney...also jailbeard should have been confirmed as either jimbo or nelsons dad and same for one armed gunshop owner herman as one of the 2 kids fathers and also Cletus the yokel could easily be dolphes father cause of how different they act cause dolphe is articulate when he speaks and cletus is not but yet they both have red hair......it just made sense to me as a kid...snake really looks like he could be jimbo or nelsons father and herman for sure could be jimbos dad..
actually, there is one episode where jimbo's dad, dolph's dad, and kearney's dad are all shown (beating up homer at moe's)
It's Dark souls lore level
The other problem with Lisa's Wedding is that a specific date is given for that wedding, a day that is now in the past in the PRESENT timeline.
Yeah, I don't think they had drones or Trump running for president in 2008, even though drones were in a flashback episode and Trump as president has been in one or two modern episodes
Snakie Sliding timescale is a something else.
To avoid confusion, I tend to throw dates out of the canon and say the show takes place around the year of 2010 due to all of the electronics that the characters are seen using.
The best username I could come up with They didn't show President Trump or drones in Lisa's Wedding. They mentioned Trump in 2000 episode set in 2030.
Past Timeline actually
15:12 Maybe Grandpas body was in the tube, technically dead, and the gravestone was just there for tradition sake.
Leer Wesen that's what I was thinking and because Bart was younger at the time his parents didn't tell him about the cryo tube yet, since it seems more respectful, especially if Bart loves his grandpa as much as it's implied in this video
no, he was literally, just frozen.
Leer Wesen dude he could of died and put in the grave and then NEW TECHNOLOGY comes out and they buy of rent grandpa a tube and he comes back to life
How did nobody come up with this it's a FUTURE episode not a present episode
Callum Pin tbh the cryo tube must have not existed after grandpa died for a few years. im not sure yet but, i keep thinking if the cryo tube didn't exist after grandpa died for the few years then, how would his body be still there while it didn't get eaten by his digestion or idk. his body must have bones left though.
eh probably my explaination is wrong xddddd
Rozellie RBLX
Maybe when he went in the tube his body regenerated I don't know it probably is 2 separate timelines
The future scene with Bart being a Supreme Court Justice is personally my favourite. Its one of the few times we see Bart actually have a successful future, instead of him being a mooch or a slob and Lisa being the successful one.
Every future episode contains some reference to him going to law school, any episode made before boyhood is a reality where bart is a mooch, after is where he's an artist first
I wouldn't call marrying Milhouse "successful."
The biggest mystery is why Lisa married Milhouse
CutterHistorical maybe his Italian food is awesome
🍆
Milhouse is basically a soyboy weak, meek and submissive. while Lisa is a feminist/nazi control freak and with the Tendencies to believe the boys are stupid. she will always go with the one that will submit to her no matter what. remember their child's Zia is only about 1% Milhouse do you do genetic manipulation and Lisa's personal choice. While Nelson her other romantic prospect is the exact opposite. which besides physical attraction Lisa has for that prospect she would never go long-term. because he would never completely submit to her and then her feminist indoctrination would kick in and she'd break up with him.
PIty
Doctor Odin That made alot of sense. I didn't even think about it.
I agree about Lisa and Nelson, it's just weird for her to be with Milhouse, her and Nelson always had chemistry
CharlotteHowls glad I'm not the only one,Nelson was the one she interacted with the most ,the other crushes, including millhouse, were only seen once,so it makes perfect sense😉👍🏻

@@srdjanvitorovic5795 that sounds like a fun future episode of the Simpsons.

Popp1092 I
Nothing to be said about the major conflict of interest of a president appointing her brother to the Supreme Court lol.
Popp1092 Are you a Tintin fan? 👀
I can't be the only one who wanted Nelson for Lisa. Milhouse is such a wimp even as an adult. Whereas Nelson has changed into a better person.
DEFIANT ONE same,I hate the writers for pulling through with Lisa X millhouse
I really liked Nelson and Lisa. I felt like while he wasn't smart, he wasn't dumb enough to think he was smart. He acknowledged grades weren't his big thing and he feels insecure about it, but he knows what he needs to know, and I think that self-assuredness is really attractive
What in the world are you basing that on?!? He impregnated two women and has four children he abandoned, lmao, yup such a better person.
DEFIANT ONE I rather Lisa Stitch’s with one of her many girlfriends
Yeah, every episode with her and him together she's always so sad
What about the part where there's a religion based on the life of Bart and in 1000 years there's a war between two factions of that religion?
I am surprised with the attention to detail this wasn't mentioned, but it did not involve a character directly. I really hope he doesn't get fired for this blunder.
Didn't they bring him back to life or something? No wait, that was a dream or something.
Bortism.
Simpsons predict future generations regarding Simpsons as a religious cultural artifact from a happier age.
Lisa became president about a year after the Christmas future episode because Maggie's baby, Maggie jr was about a year old in the president episode.
I agree with you on that
While that definitely makes sense, I feel as though it’s way too fast for her to become president in less than a year after that.
There's really only 6 episodes of the future? I could've sworn there was about 10 now after all the future episodes in the newer seasons.
Because there is some episodes that have future segments
No!! you are not the only one!! i totally think Nelson is better for Lisa than Milhouse!!! it's not bat to be super psychological with ficctional characters!!. "he must have been smarter than his sister Lisa about whom we know nothing"
Futurama had the luxury of an ending I suppose. And no kid characters.

I prefer Lisa/Nelson myself, even if Milhouse/Lisa does have some cute moments. I always thought Lisa felt like Milhouse was too much another brother to her, him being Bart's always-around BFF.
Milhouse Doesn't Count--at least to me.
Nelson is a bully. Better to date the nerd than the bully.
I want to hear his Selma and Moe theory.
TheRealJims That seriously makes sense! No joke

here's a theory: what if homer, after getting a robot body and being cloned so many times, lives to the year 3000, and becomes known as "bender" somehow forgetting who he was before becoming a robot and befriends fry because of his similarities to bart?

My theory for the Grandpa being both dead and cryogenically frozen is that he slipped into a coma and nobody noticed until much later. After all, it's established that he slips in and out of coma's all the.... French Toast, please!

A random thought: I wonder if, at Lisa & Milhouse's wedding, Bart was Milhouse's best man?
*sigh* Where is my life?
Gabriel Hill well that's just your opinion and therefore I respect it,but I still think she should've ended up with Nelson
Staunts tell me about it,I pity him but there's nothing interesting about him😒

They might as well have played "accidents will happen" over the Homer death montage

I also love how the kids seem to all have gotten musical genes from Homer
What if the show is in Bart's memory when he's much older and sometimes he mis-remembers certain details about his life, like whether it was Lisa or Marge who painted the boat painting?
eh. Coma theories for TV shows always feel like the cheap way out to me
And in yet another episode (the one where Marge is an author) the picture is titled "Scene from Moby Dick" and presumably not painted by any family member.
Potholes inconsistencies happen due to hiring writers that have not watched the show or even bother to read clip notes from the previous episodes.
Thank you for those 3 high quality videos, good content is hard to find this days.

This should get an update, now we have a Lisa version of Barthood, and (according to Simpsons Wiki), canon deaths to multiple characters.
I don't feel like the deaths in Flanders' Ladder was really canon, if Simpsons Wiki says Days Of Future Pass isn't canon then the deaths shouldn't be canon either.
This video reminds me of a time when I really enjoyed the Simpsons and had hope for its future.
Grandpa can be “dead” and still alive in freezer. Bart can be lied to.
So about the age
This one dude who I think writes the Simpsons said he would end the series by having the final episode be that it's them preparing to go to Springfield elementary for a Christmas show aka the start of the first episode so the entire show is a time loop
So if they do go with that it would explain why they don't age but can spend 24 years trying to kill a 10 year old
Now I don't really like this cause well there are limited resources, Moe can't suddenly regain his fortune the same way he got it in the past, before the loop starts and so on
Brilliant job, I love these. More mysteries please!
What if, because of the nature of the Simpsons timeline being a floating timeline, all of these were canon at some point, but split off and become impossible as the show continues. Each future episode just becomes it's own separate canon
Your use of Final Fantasy 6 music in conjunction with nerdy Simpsons stuff makes me think of the 90s more than almost anything else.
I can't believe that bart becoming chief justice of the supreme court got referenced in lisa's wedding
