What if The Simpsons isn't actually set in a floating timeline but skipping between several different parallel universes with the same people but different cannons.
I think that Bart, like Lisa, has always been naturally smart and gifted but never applied himself as much as Lisa it makes since Bart will experience more barriers and struggles because of his own bad life decisions but he is smart enough to overcome it and be successful in his own right. He eventually becomes a Supreme Court Justice at 50, even though Lisa became President in her 40’s and Maggie became the best selling musical artist of her generation in her mid 20’s and early 30’s. The great thing about Bart’s success, is that it doesn’t matter when you start as long as you reach your own destination at your own pace and stop comparing yourself to other people’s successes!
Bart is such an amazingly written character like when they were making the characters Bart stood out and he is one of just the best Simpson’s characters

Also I will say this till the day I die. Bart is the best example of being neurodivergent. He clearly struggles with adhd If not other disorders and his struggles especially the episode "Bart gets an f" highlights it perfectly ( like as a neurodivergent person that episode is the realiest shit). I love him for his true depiction of what being the other is.
as someone who may also be neurodivergent, that episode really touched me, as a child i was always the type of child that cant stand of doing something for not even a long period of time, i struggled at school early on because i cant pay attention but luckily learned to just understand and get the gist of it instead of over study the subjects at school, even though this came with the cause of me having lacking grades at the more practical and tedious school assignment like making reports and stuff. now currently going through university and is doing very well at the theoretical part of campus class subject, but barely passing (even failing some) classes that forces you to do more practical and monotone things like having to make progress on an experiment and have to report your project progress every week since i cant even focus to even do/made progress to my experiments before getting too bored to do it.

I've just noticed Ralph goes from balding/thinning hair as a child to a full head of it as an adult- this is one reason I'd be happy to live in the Simpsons universe
So if the Simpsons aged in real time we'd see(please watch the Video First): 1982: Bart is born 1984: Lisa is born. 1988: Bart is Six. Flashback shown in Barthood. 1992: Bart is ten. Most of the Series. 1994: Bart turns Twelve. Milhouse goes to Juvenile Hall(which cartoon treats as Prison for kids). 1997: Bart is Fifteen. Relationship with Homer and Lisa is damaged. By this time Abraham Simpson had been frozen and is believed dead(While this may seem odd, given Futurama appears to exist in this world and that had Cryogenics in 1999, this is an example of technology being a bit more advanced. The Simpsons is an alternate Universe after all. 2000: Bart is eighteen. He is graduating and dating Jenda. Also at some point between 1997 and 2000 Chief Wiggum was in a horrible incident leading to his body being rebuilt as a Robocop(or becoming a cyborg is mandatory since all the police seem to be). Jenda and Bart break up or the first time. 2002: Bart is Twenty. He now lives at Springfield Elementary 2023: Bart is 41. works at Crataceous Park. Bart moves on from Brenda. 2025: Bart is 43 and has moved in with Ralph Wiggum. Lisa Presumably became President in the 2024 Election, implying Trump may have won a Second Term(two other Presidents are mentioned in the episode, Ted Kennedy and Chastity Bono. Kennedy had to have won before his 2009 Death and may have taken George Bush's term with Chasity Bono succeeding before Trump ran. 2032: Bart is 50 and went on to become Supreme Court, presumably under Lisa's successor(possibly Isabel Guiterrez who ran as Lisa's opponent but the two may still be friends). Bart sees the Itchy and Scratchy Movie. 2062: Bart is 80. Homer and Marge have likely passed away as at least one episode shows an old Bart and Milhouse with ghost Homer and Marge(assuming Bart is visiting Milhouse at the retirement Home), and despite still being a member of the Supreme Court, Bart can't resist playing one last Prank on Skinner. Skinner has a heart attack and Bart is accidentally killed, dying an Ironic Death.
Bart would actually make a good cop and even a detective. He's solved mysteries, stopped side show bob numerous times and bobs brother. He was an effective hall monitor. Yet the writers of the show don't have him capitalize on those skills. He even has informants through out springfield. He has comic book guy, Otto, grounds keeper Willie, just to name afew. Maybe make a video on how bart should be a detective ;)
Bart did become Supreme Court justice so maybe he was like that as a child and even a teen but got a new interest in the more academic side of it later in life like maybe he was always destined to be a trickster and a bringer of justice he truly is a incredibly complex and interesting figure like his father in some ways but with actual intelligence behind it he just chooses to be many things as he wanders he’s a truly free spirit unlike his sister
It'd be interesting to learn more about Maggie's future, especially seeing what she's like at Bart and Lisa's ages, but adult Maggie is always just a minor side character in future episodes used for gags about how we still never hear her speak.
I think that Bart, like Lisa, has always been naturally smart and gifted but never applied himself as much as Lisa it makes since Bart will experience more barriers and struggles because of his own bad life decisions but he is smart enough to overcome it and be successful in his own right. In a episode of the Simpsons, Bart was grown and had kids and his kids saw him as a bad role model because of his old ways when he didn’t even want to spend time with his kids. Then when his kids finally stayed over his house, Bart made every fun as it could be. He became a good role model to his kids and his kids liked him.
