Let’s not forget that Magneto justifiably dropped RESPECT on Forge’s name by calling him an Omega Technopath in this issue!
Bout time
Rockslide's acceptance can cover many things, transitioning or maturity. Makes me look back at myself, my politics, & who I followed a year ago & how I've gone in an entirely different direction. Made me realize that you can't always judge people for their past actions because they're still evolving mentally & emotionally.
People should really go back and read the Fatal Attractions issue of X-men. There's a line in it where they say as a kid when Xavier's powers activated, he had to cut himself off from half of his powers to keep himself from going insane.
Honestly I think Storm and Magneto will return because they are classics.

They're just not gonna be killed in the first place. Hahaha. They've got that Popularity Plot Armor. I'm kidding...Kind of. (No shade. I LOVE them both.)
I think they've been setting up Magneto to fall for a while now. They built him up as a hero defender of Krakoa; he sat on the Council, the kids chanted his name. Then Scarlet Witch died, he was blamed, and they got Toad sentenced to exile. Having to witness Wanda die, asked by her to lie about it, then Toad going down when he was innocent was a trial for Magneto.
Then Inferno and everybody hates him for keeping Moira a secret. They kick him off the Council. Then he goes to Arakko and constructs the "Autumn Palace" I think. I think he said a place for him to die. Now he crushes his and Storm's only back-ups, and says he's in the Autumn of his life and fears winter. He implies he doesn't want to be resurrected and won't go to mutant Heaven.
tldr: I think they've been foreshadowing Magneto's "permanent" death. Storm idk

Even before this whole Hickman era, I always thought it was weird that Professor X wasn't an Omega level mutant, especially considering the feats he's accomplished with his powers. With that said, it's nice to see more Black and people of color *possibly* being added to that list with Synch and Forge. Storm being the only person of color on that list just ain't right.
We're not black we're brown the word black k was brought over it was with dark or euribui" brown". But yeah I think he is a omega level mutant........ onslaught
Forge wont be added to that list as long as People Like Dr Doom Reed And Tony exist this was explained in the first issue of HOX
Hickman probably didn’t want to overshadow Jean and Quintin as telepaths. And that it’s been brought up multiple times that Arakko’s council members are all Omega, story wise there has to be less than Omega on the Krakoan council for that juxtaposition which falls down to their cultural values.
I agree about wanting to see the original list include at least one more black person, a dude preferably. And also a couple other people of color in general.
So even if I'm not thrilled to see the list getting fiddled with so often. I'll wait and see what happens.
@@greatestever2560 The writers/books change things all the time. Franklin Richards is on the list and he's not even a mutant any more... Sometimes these little drops are an accident and sometimes they are the writer consciously telling you things are different moving forward. We've just gotta wait and see.
Technically, only Omega level mutants worked on terraforming Mars...and that was done according to Forge's design if I remember correctly. Maybe they've been planning this for a bit...
Tarn the Uncaring may not use the Krakoan Ressurection Process, but there are other ways to come back. He always struck me as a darker, more twisted, version of Mr. Sinister. There have been parallels between Krakoa and Arakko. I see Tarn as the parallel to Sinister, both have a rep of playing with other genes and don't care what others think of them.
Sinister is known to have clones on the side that his psyche would download into one and revive that way. I wouldn't be surprised to see Tarn is able to revive via his gene powers in a similar way: create a new body.

We have seen/been told how mutants come back after being resurrected as more powerful (Synch for example) and Forge was recently resurrected so maybe he wasn’t Omega level before but is now? It fits…

I've been wondering about that especially given Logan,Scott,and Quintin have died several times but I don't see any improvements/enhancements
@@dbears1603 well I would argue that Logan (with his healing factor) has been stupid OPed for a long time now and I’d also argue that Cyclops is perfection just the way he is!
@@darkur13 there are people with better healing factors and cyclops can't control his powers without a visor. There's also the fact Logan hot claws weaken his healing factor and if I remember right Scott has a time limit on how long he can use his optic blast.
Though honestly he shouldn't need the visor in his new body as it shouldn't have the head injury that prevents him from controlling his power

Lets not forget,There is also Heaven where all mutants go even if they are not ressurrected. It was created by Wanda in the Trial of Magneto if i'm not mistaken.In order to be ressurrected from there you really have to want it if my memory is correct.
id say the arakko comment is so that this rockslide will be around mutants who didn't know the original so he wont have to feel uncomfortable and like an imposter.

I love how Nova said his resurrection of the people of Xandar was pretty basic - - cloned bodies and mind recordings - - and that they probably have a better way on Krakoa… nope! That’s exactly what they do…what are you trying to say about mutant resurrection, Al Ewing? Lol.
Well Forge may be an omega level technopath but not an omega level mutant.... just like how Emma Frost is an omega level telepath but not really an omega level mutant, meaning they can still be surpassed by others but an omega level mutant cannot be surpassed by others.
Hey Blerd, what are your thoughts on Storm not being diplomatic during the meeting with oracle?
Also, about the allegory with Wrongslide, I don’t think it’s exclusive to trans people, but definitely applies to them. It can also apply to a multitude of people who grow up in a particular culture or group (punk, skater, nerd, Jocks..etc) that they identify with and later their interests change leaving their friends/family to no longer share that kinship with them.

I am glad that El is expanding the Omega level list but not with X. Everyone knows Jean is the most powerful psychic.
Yeah. From basically the beginning Jean has had the most raw power of all the telepaths (now matched by Quinton Quite) but Charles Xavier has ALWAYS been the most skilled/best user of telepathy.
I kind of like that dynamic...the most powerful and the most skilled being different people.
@@greenguy369 that's not true actually. Emma is stated to have the same level of skills as X himself. And Jean has shown to have better skills than Emma. In New X-men and in Gaint Size Emma and Jean.
She is even skilled enough to handle Nightmare when Emma couldnt even..
I am not saying that Jean is more skilled than any telepaths, but she is right there, doesnt need to be taught. Jean has perfect skill.
And about the raw powers. Just because 2 Omega level telepaths have unlimited level of power, does not mean they r on the same level. One can exceed the other.
For example Galactus can be classified as an Omega level. But that doesn't mean he is equal to other cosmic entities in raw power, Eternity far exceeds him.
Same thing can be said about Omega level mutants. Franklin is an Omega level reality warper, yet so is Proteus, but Franklin is more powerful.

wow.. completely agree on one of the best if not the best stories on the X-men to date. Curious to see what will develop after this, and I thought there were far more Omega Level Mutants than they are saying. and No new ones are being born (or made, Hints at Sinister) on Krakoa? I call BS!

I think you are spot on with your comparison to Wrongslide's situation and transgender individuals in society today. Excellent catch and one reason I love your take on things.
I think it's a reach. Transgender individuals choose to change how they are, Rockslide died and simply came back mentally wrong.
I think of it more like an allegory for permanent amnesia, The version of you everyone knows died and no matter how hard you try, you'll never exactly be like your old self or remember anything you did with them. In a way the past version of you dies completely. Hell you might as well just be a skin walker to them.
I think both your takes are right, to a degree. I'm trans, and I lost a very dear relative to schizophrenia. It's not that a transgender person chooses, so much as decides as with *anything* medical: the brain now feels it inhabits a more medically correct space. And the grief for my sibling will always be with me, because while still alive is completely gone.

Wildchild and Nanny weren't an amalgam of all of their versions cause they died in Amenth, not Otherworld, like Rockslide and Gorgon, that's why they came back as if they had to fight their whole lives
I wish they would stop fiddling with the list of Omegas. I know the list probably wasn't perfect. But feels like they are just reintroducing the same ambiguity/confusion that the list was trying to get rid of. Also... In a year we're just going to have a 100 Omegas and it won't really feel "special"... again...same problem as before.
That said...the list was in need some men/people of color (be mad if you're mad 🤷🏾) So I'm not upset to see Synch and Forge added. Also, love Professor X; I'll never be mad at him getting his props.

That happened but I thought Forge went through the crucible and came back as a mutant. Also forge just got killed in Xforce by the rogue cerebro as well

Just wanted to mention I love how "woke" for lack of a better word you are without hitting people over the head with stuff. I'm super gay & I know X-Men has always been partially an allegory, but the primary reason myself & others read it is for the fantasy and imagination of it. & You always hit that good balance & I hope you know people appreciate you for it. Thanks for the good work.
There are plenty of ways to still bring them back, the real question is do they (and logan) WANT to be brought back next time. (Of course they will but just in terms of narrative)

I think we need to see how Storm will act as the Voice of Sol when the Galactic Council has a problem with the Sol System that has absolutely 0% to do with mutants, like they're worried maybe about the Forever Gate that's been targeted by the Griever and the Reckoning, or the pheonix in the hands of the Avengers. Because how would she act over a subject she technically has no authority over. 🤷♂️
While I like the concept of Isca's powers, I feel like the writers take it too literally, as though she is completely at the whim of her own powers. This whole using "I bet..." is so gimmicky. Why can't the following happen?

Ora Seratta the Witness basically said Isca and Roberto's conversation was inconsequential in Magneto's win over Tarn. Isca claimed Roberto helped Magneto cheat, but Ora said the win was lawful. I think that implies that Isca's power didn't affect the outcome.
Magneto entered the Ring with his own plan, and it worked.

no such thing as half mutant , people with inactive mutant genes are considered regular. Otherwise unpowered people like every mutants normal parents would be considered mutants too.

Storm isnt JUST a OLM, she IS a God.... she cant die.
When Storm dies so will my luv for Marvel! She is the only reason I buy read and watch anything X-Men. She is the reason I play these BS games such as Marvel Future Fight and Future Revolution. She should have been instilled with a healing factor. I luv how Storm acknowledges Xavier as perhaps the most powerful telepath in the universe. It speaks volumes about his power level and her respect for him. She has also acknowledged Cyclops leadership and how powerful his optic blasts are stating it is one of the most powerful blasts in this dimension and has also complimented Jean and her psychic powers as well as Black Panther, Magneto, Hulk, Juggernaut and Thor for their prowess and powers. She not afraid to acknowledge other heroes and their worth. Soon it might become a thing that if Storm doesn’t acknowledge you then you are worthless no matter how powerful you’re hyped up to be, lol.
As for Forge being an Omega well from Hickman’s policy and rule it would be impossible for Forge to be an Omega Level Mutant because their is Iron Man and Black Panther both who can build anything at anytime. It may not be as fast as Forge but they can build it sure enough. I spoke about Synch and even though I am a Storm fan I once agreed that if she, before Hickman era, became Omega then she would follow the death trend Phoenix lead. There is Rogue, Hope and Nameless (who’s dead supposedly) and no telling how many other copy cats so Sync becoming Omega will make everyone else irrelevant just as him being on that team is pointless. He should be up there on mars as a member of Storm’s Brotherhood to take her place in the field while she handle diplomatic and/or political affairs. His job is to be a substitute or a solo mission but from planet Arokko. I don’t read the new X-men title so I really can’t speak on his usefulness on that team but ….

Mutants can ressurect who ever they want, just as I have the right to backup my PC and transfer those data to a new PC. I dont need to ask permission to do that. If some Muggle trash has issue with it, he should get his own data, his own back up, his own PC.

well, Magneto only got rid of the recording. There's a backup. It will not be current, but still a backup of the last recorded memory. Just like how they brought back Wanda.
Naw. He said that he and Storm don't have backups. He said rhat ball Forge made was the only copy of them. The only other way for them to come back is through that waiting room thing that Scarlet Witch made.

Wait a second- Wasn’t Forge ALSO hit by the same gun that takes away one’s mutant powers as Moira in X Lives and X Deaths of Wolverine?!? Like right before or right after Moira’s powers were taken away by that same gun, (then she took off so it was around the beginning of that story) Forge was hit also. He might’ve died and been resurrected with his powers since then but that was never explicitly said.

no time is not bound by temperature...restriction of movement is not the same as stopping time..for example tempo aged gladiators hand into dust...ice man can do no such thing at the most freeze it solid and shatter it...but you cant thaw out an aged hand it's the same...but yeah they already said Iceman was omega lvl when Hickman made his list

I have some good things and some bad things to say about this issue, let's start with the good:
Whoever is drawing Storm and ant black character in tgis issue keep them to continue their art, I love how Issac and Storm look black in this issue. And Storm still loves T'Challa that's good but I want whoever is doing BP fire his ass, it seems like the Xmen writers want T'Challa and Storm to be together. Which a great deal of us want.
The bad: Xavier you ain't shit why you care about your daughter but not your son? Both you and Scott can go #$%# yourselves lol, and I hate when writers don't follow the continuity that was set. I don't mind Sync being an omega cause it was never stated if he was or not, but Forge being one makes zero sense including Charles

I feel like when this all ends they will kill off all the X-men and all the most popular versions of each character will be resurrected and we’ll have the greatest hits team! I hope so at least.

We're still in a pandemic and if you're not an omega level mutant, so wash your damn hands!!
Meanwhile, until Ernie gets around to the solution of resurrection in Otherworld, aka the only series he will have to understand to see how Wrongslide gets resolved, although it’ll be a while to see how Otherworld will be open to all magic-users across different planets, and all black, in-universe magic users would agree on how lacking-in-progress (of reflecting sorcery in other cultures) that Otherworld is becoming.
May not be a popular opinion, but I think they need to do away with the resurrection plot device as a whole. While I'm glad all the dead mutants got a second chance, I'd love to see a story where the process malfunctions brings back a ton of non mutant heroes and villians and is then done away with forever. P.S...still waiting on John Wraith and Willie Evans (Omega Level Reality Warper from FF #203 & Iron Man Annual #8) to be resurrected.

Actually,didn't they heal her from the techno virus ? All that ressurecting thing with Jean and Emma was in her head i think,telepathically going trough her mind when they saw that something is taking her over. Emma even offered her to die and get ressurrected instead to go trough all of this and thats when she said she doesn't want to be resurrected and she wouldn't be the same .
