Cell First Form SH Figuarts -- Annoying QC Issues and General Drop in Quality

- SH Figuarts feels like they've been cutting corners as of late. Plastic quality feels cheaper and joints feel like garbage, simply put. Can't hold a candle to older figures under the SHF brand name.
I completely agree with you. Tamashii has been falling off so hard lately. Bad quality on figures, p-bandai exclusives, price increases , etc. It's like every figure I get from them now has very bad qc. I bought another ssj4 goku recently, and his leg is so loose and It just comes apart and the waist swivel is so tight. Total waste of 60$. I don't even want to get ssj4 vegeta or any new releases because I'm genuinely afraid of wasting my money. And that's a shame because I started collecting this line ever since I was in high school and I used to collect everything but now I don't even bother unless I really like the character and look of the figure. I was thinking about buying this cell too until I saw pictures of his leg snapping, and then I saw this video. It's a shame because this used to be a great figure line. Now it's mediocre at best ☹️
my joints were pretty stiff as well, 75$ is a pretty high price but cell for me does feel pretty nice at the very least, agree with you though
Yeah man I'm fed up of spending close to a hunna on a fig waiting to get it, and I open the box to sheer dissapointment. Call me crazy but the plastic even looks cheap on that newer fig. I bought my first Mafex the other month and the damm thing had a huge bit of missing paint in one of the eyes. Come on companys that produce rubbish.
Honestly SH figuarts are going Down in Quality, Forsure In there DB Line but also notice in Newer Lines. They are making Cheap Quality Paint Work, Over Priced, Lazy Body Molds with Cheap Quality Plastics, etc…

i do agree with they should be better.. i like this figure lot but my head came very very tight... i sanded it down the tiniest bit and added oil.. seems fine now.... .. you know its funny you picked that trunk as a good example though.. because although he is very quiet... many people complained that it seemed like the lower half of his legs were molded onto the wrong sides...

Well that squeaking sound is just a little bit tight, it won't break don't worry. I have lots of SHF that have that issues and they seems fine to me, no breakage at all. Even the 2.0 vegito one, it's from china and it have squeaking sounds on my 2 vegitos 😂 i have to sell them because i used to think that these squeaking sounds are signs of breakage but no, it is not. And now im regretting for selling them. I used to try to break a joint from a broken SHF and it's really hard tbh. Not really fragile. Just enjoy the figures, no need to worry much, even these recently newer releases are really durable.
Naruto looks great and poses great, but because he's light he's bad? I agree fully that the DB line has been slipping, but the weight of the figure being some arbitrary positive/negative is such crap.
