This was truly inspiring. I am in awe of Luke. His work, his perspective, his life. It's all so open and real. Someone said "Luke is art" and I can feel that. In awe and incredibly jealous that he's figured out a way to live his life like this. Appreciate so much that I was able to find this documentary today.
I like that, "its what I do, I look" and the private studio, me too I dont let anyone into my place either because its my private space to make projects, its an extension of me
Inspiring. Luke has such clarity about his artistic purpose in a way that is also free and exciting. This video has helped me look at my own work in a new way. Thank you for this interview!
So interesting to see your process. Yes it is absolutely right...when a painter adds one thing...mostly we need to add here and there something else...I noticed that the last months when I worked in my studio! Thanks!
Pleased to have watched this - v inspiring. The Gallipoli trip must have been challenging. I'm living in the shadow of ww2 - been in Austria for nearly a decade - the longer I'm here, the more I feel from the past - the more I see the scars. I struggle with landscapes when my mind is taken up by how awful most humans can be...really struggle.
Is this Australia? No one says what country there are in, so viewer has to try reading signs, license plates, just know English spoken but why not bother with location when paintings about landscapes. Don't care about lousy annoying viewers I guess.
wonderful
Emily is so beautiful, such beautiful Features
Really enjoyed the documentary and mesmerized by the art and process.

Tq so true . Tq very much for your honesty. I feel the same
that's very beautiful. his erratic gestures so casual, a dancer he juts himself out there like a spear is his sight.

The drive to see, to catch the moment, the colour, the form, the life… Luke is art

Yes, maybe a comfort to consider it's not 'most humans', just the handful of stunted souls who monopolise power.
I grew up on my families 5 acres in Kentlyn one of the out lying area on the edge of campbelltown. Cheers from Tasmania!
Ah-mazing!!!
I’m not trying to be cruel or anything but How is this art & not a mess on canvas
Sometimes it's both 😂

Very near the beginning the commentary says this is Sydney, Australia.
