Floor entered Nightwish while "Imaginaerum" World Tour, 2012. Her first concert with Nightwish was in the USA, 1.October 2012 Seattle (There is a unofficial video available)

Nightwish since Floor joined should ALWAYS be listen to and watched by the live performances. She has a stage presence that's out of this world.

Floor is definitely my favorite Nightwish vocalist and the only one I listen to. Annette’s vocals sound thin to my ears. There isn’t much power behind her delivery, at least not enough for the type of music Nightwish is known for.
Now Floor, on the other hand, she can go from an operatic vocal to full-on growl mode and everything in-between. She’s extremely versatile and has amazing control over all of it.
Always live with Nightwish with Floor, Masters of Rock 2022 (Noise and Tribal) and you’ll see why. 😉 and yes, in the live footage you see that they do it for the love of the music.
You should check the LIVE versions of songs "Romanticide" (Tarja song), "Dark Chest of Wonders" (Tarja song), "Ghost Love Score" (Tarja song), "Last Ride of the Day" (Anette song) and "Storytime" (Anette song) from their live album "Wacken 2013" and see how Floor owns all the songs.. And no, they are not in the same tempo :-D
Emppu was probably told to sit down to keep him in one place, otherwise he'd be running all over the set, driving the video crew nuts. ;)
Timeline: Floor joined the band mid tour in October 2012 and was officially, along with Troy, made a member of the band about six months later. However, the announcement wasn't made until around the time of Wacken ten months after she joined. No particular reason for the delay beyond simply neglecting to do it.
Anette was selected from a group of singers who Nightwish auditioned for the role. Like Dave, I started with Anette and went backwards for Tarja. I prefer the Anette albums over any of the Tarja ones. Like many others and Dave, with the Tarja albums I can only listen to one or two songs at a time and then I've had enough. I used to loop Anette's two albums. Anette's live performances were her Achilles heel.
If you want to sample Floor's range, "Ever Dream" for the belts, "Yours is an Empty Hope" for the growls, their most recent performance of "The Phantom of the Opera" for her classical voice, and if you want to listen to her sing a bit of German rap, "Freunde" from Sing Meinen Song". Also consider 'While Love Died" for a hard rock performance.
The big problem with trying to sample Floor's range of styles and abilities, is that we'd need 20 or 30 songs and we'd probably still be missing something. I've been listening to her for years and she still manages to pull something out of a hat that surprises me. In contrast, we've heard all we need from Anette or Tarja after one song.
BTW, the band considered Floor after Tarja, but she was with After Forever at the time and they didn't want to steal their lead singer. Probably it was better the way it played out for as the saying goes, "Don't replace the star, replace the replacement."
Just listen to Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean (live in Buenos Aires).
That will answer every question about the band.

Nightwish is my all-time favorite band (I'm 76 and have seen 'em all), but I rarely watch studio/video recordings, much preferring the live performances.
Now that you've reached Floor it won't matter if it's live or music video.In fact most fans prefer the dynamics of the lives. She has excellent control, tuning, versatility and stage presence in every live performance. Including when she performs anything written for Tarja or Anette. Tuomas now feels that he can write whatever he wishes instead of being limited by the ability of the previous singers. Try watching Wacken 2013 where Floor performs only songs written for Tarja and Annette and she slays them. Floor is over 6ft without heels and started singing at 16 with After Forever.

I have been surprised by your choice of Nightwish songs to react to. Maybe check out Romanticide, Song of Myself, Dark Chest of Wonders all from Wacken 2013, 7 Days to the wolves, Yours is an Empty Hope from Wembley, Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, Slaying the Dreamer from Buenos Aires, Weak Fantasy from Tampere. Much heavier songs and I would have thought more to your taste. Plus with Nightwish - Live is best.

Anette was deliberately chosen to be very different to Tarja. For me, I prefer Tarja's voice on individual songs, but there's not much variety in her voice and I struggle to listen to her for a whole album, whereas I can listen to _Imaginaerum_ over and over. Floor has the advantage of immense versatility - she can do classical nearly as well as Tarja, pop nearly as well as Anette, plus a whole host of other things that neither previous singer could, though her wheelhouse is rock. (I've put a couple of suggestions in a reply to another comment)

I only listen to Nightwish with Floor and of course Marco , but I do appreciate the other singers for somehow inspiring the music made in their era’s
Hi ADK. Excellent set of reactions to this music video with Floor. However, Nightwish with Floor is always best served LIVE. Of course, her first huge show was Wacken 2013. It is unfortunate that when the band released that video on Blu-Ray and DVD, that, despite the Blu-Ray having higher definition video, Blu-Ray required 24 frames per second while the actual video was recorded at 25 FPS. Thus, many of the high-definition videos from that show come from the Blu-Ray version where the video is shown 4 percent slower than the audio, making the vocalists' lips out of sync with the audio. Fortunately, Nightwish Arena has totally remastered every song in that setlist to produce the CORRECT SPEED videos. Here is the link to every song in that setlist remastered. Thanks guys. Enjoy.

you can have a honest and fair meaning if you more heard of floor jansen live not studio because nightwish and floor are live so much better
I concur. Try a couple of songs from Wacken 2013: _Romanticide_ (because I think it would suit you), and _Ghost_ _Love_ _Score_ (because it is a good showcase of Floor's skills). She can do more, though!

You are right about the reset with Anette because the fans gave Tuomas so much grief. If he had stayed with the operatic style he would have continued to be restricted to compose in that style. And he needed a change. Such a pity that she was so poor live. You only need to listen to The Poet and the Pendulum at Wembley 2015 to realise how good Floor is singing an Anette song. Cant judge this odd studio session with there overall sound..live at tempere, wacken, london are all out there with floor really giving it her best.tarja is more operatic and i became a fan during this era.however there is a video of floor and henk poort doing phantom of the opera and floor just with nightwish doing it but..tarja does it way better.

For me Nightwish is my favorite band, and Foor is my queen of singers, but live performances are the best from Nightwish i only by cd's with live performances the band and the vocals from Floor and Marco are on their best. I dont know why the cd's dont have the real sound as with live performances.

Get some mic stands, because every time you guys move, they make noise. Get new mic while you are at it...they sound like crap.
