great video. I just received the HZ6 and was thoroughly impressed completely by it's function, fit and finish! The Hissatsu is on it's way AND, the folders are next! I really like this brand of martial knife. They're purpose made and it just so happens that I like, collecting martial knives! Again, great video...
21 foot rule? While you are pulling out your gun, the attacker has the advantage to stab and slash you when you are in close range especially when you are a foot away from them.
His trainer is the only one that I know of that comes with a sheath. Makes you train with drawing it out of its intended sheath and how to properly carry it. Not many training blades give you this option. Or you have to go custom sheath.
Alpha-Charlie Concepts It's been my edc defensive blade for well over a year now. I live in central Florida and work outside so I'm sure you understand the special kind of sogginess it endures. It's done fine and very comfortable.
You might want to look for "survival combat der breakout kanal Messerkampf Training". It`s in german, has no english subtitles but you might learn something out of it. Dunno if it is that good without the language though. Other good things like "alarm systems" on this + the associated chanel too. My take "once you got it deployed". What`s your take on cut resistent clothing? Depending on the version it protects from stabbing too.
Having been associated with the oldest custom knife shop for my entire life (family owns and still runs it, and I worked there for a decade and a half) I can honestly say most people spend WAY too much money on knives...in the kitchen ( my latest profession...I am a trained chef) or in the field, a knife is a long-term consumable. If you are making decisions based on retaining a knife, ie, going back for it, or not using it in certain applications, then you are losing your perspective...it's a tool, just like a bullet...more valuable than a single bullet, but just as expendable...I saw guys spend literally thousands of dollars on a knife...do you think they would leave that custom one-of-a-kind gem stuck in the enemy if it got lodged there, or would they endanger themselves and the mission struggling to retrieve their prized possession? Answer is pretty sel-evident...my philosophy...carry as much knife as you can, both oin size and cost...but don't carry more than you'd be willing to leave behind...
The knives in this video are between $100 and $150. They are budget production folders. One of the great things about Columbia River is how they can give people who don't want to or can't afford customs access to designers like James Williams, Lucas Burnley, etc. If this was your point -- my apologies -- but it sounded like you were ragging on the knives in question (which are great defensive tools IMO).
I really gotta say for what crkt charge you don't get great materials, I can spend less made in America from Kershaw. Then if I want foreign I can go with coldsteel better steel better quality to. I will say the obake is a nice knife for the price but I see that as a exception not the rule
I have a MTech MT-20-03 Dagger in Stainless steel fixed blade with a custom leather EDC sheath. The blade is a double edge dagger and sharpened on both sides . 4-3/16 cutting edge full tang 9 inches long tip to handle end. These are not expensive but look very well made for a Chinese knife, It looks nasty and I know it is designed to penetrate and kill and I am sure it would. Have you seen this dagger or used one to carry EDC ? what do you think?. I like it and for self defense It looks great and would work great too and Is easy to carry for EDC concealed or open carry outside . This is the knife I carry for self defense and a Spyderco Manix folder for other cutting tasks so yes I carry 2 knives for 2 different reasons cutting and self defense use. And in todays hateful society of Antifa and other leftists, Muslims , and criminals , I am not taking any chances with my life.

Excellent video. Good to see someone emphasizing that these are self-defense knives and not reviewing them as EDC or utility tools.
Haha lol when things have gone pear shape...good one
Excellent piece.
Thank you,Sir.
Cheers.
Definitely check out the Obake from CRKT. You’ll get a similar design with some added features and easier carry for everyday.
How to win a knife fight:
Step 1 - Don't get in a knife fight
Step 2 - If you do get in a knife fight pull a gun
Better to be in a stabbing & win than in a knife fight.
It`s the almost the same as with a shooting vs a gunfight.

Very cool, I'll check into them.
nicely done. very informational

Bro...
Knives by fundamental definition *are* tools. Not just "like" tools.
