1 Road I just received my auxbeams today! I followed your steps and wa-la! Truck looks great with these lights! Gives the truck a completely different look! Thanks bud!
Hi Jimmy, another kit that you could add is the high beam/ low beam relay from LMC truck allows both lights to be used in high beam mode. Makes things super bright and the road coverage is much improved. My vehicle by the way, 97 Tahoe, 160k and still going strong. Thanks for the videos.
Wow, definitely going to be buying these for my 1999 GMC Suburban. Just got mine back on the road, transmission went out and rebuilt it myself with instructions from transmissionbench.
Went for a ride today in my 1999 GMC k1500 Suburban. On the way home in the dark my wife kept asking me if I had my headlights on. I put new bulbs in about 4 years ago when I replaced the lamp housing because of yellowing. At that time I looked for LED bulbs but had no luck, or probably actually confusion. Jimmy, thanks for figuring out what LED replacement works. :-){
I installed Auxbeam Gold headlights on my car and I haven’t had any issues with getting flashed or anything. I can’t hear the fans with the car running. I think they are a good upgrade. My 9004 halogens were like candles.
What are the High Beams (amazon link ??) and how do you like them after a year? I purchased the exact low beams and will be installing ('96 Suburban). Thank you.
Badass. Exactly what I was thinking for our 98 GMC. The light blue tint is also what I'm after. In Idaho the cities just don't believe in enough street lights. Pitch dark on many roads, gotta have good light. Also rec'd new headlight assembly from 1Aauto as the old ones yellowed & have a film on the surface resulting in poor light. Also learned from a Utube vid the easy headlight removal long bolts as seen here. Countless stories of even shops tearing down the entire grill assembly to get to the light bulbs.
Your old beams look alright. If you upgraded the stock halogens to like Osram Nightbreakers or Philips Xtreme Vision - you’d get an even more focused beam, more light and more spread (with a slight whiter light). The downside is that they won’t last as long as standard halogens. I can tell by that beam that you’re blinding the shit out of everyone at night by how intense that hot spot is. I can only imagine how much light scatter there is. Good luck driving with those in the rain LOL
Okay i have a 1999 Tahoe . Ordered lights from your link [ have no problem with you getting a percentage ] and fiddled around a bit to get them snug but once i did it was night a day . If you center them right they have a nice hot spot dead center of truck not blinding others at all .Had them for a week or so and nobody flashed me yet .Also watched other videos where they were tearing the whole grill off [ lol ] so was helpful to finally know what those bolts do . I always thought they had something to do with beam placement .

Your truck looks BadAss with those leds. I couldn't get leds in my Sonata till just recently cause Techmax and Cougar Motor finally came out with mini wireless led bulbs. My Sonata has projector style headlights so the beam has a pretty even spread.
I always wanted to do this with my 98, but never went along with it because alot of GMT400 owners say that the stock housings do not have a good beam pattern for the LEDs, as they are made for Halogens. This results in a blinding light and poor beam from the headlights. Alot of owners actually discourage this mod.

These lights work awesome, but you have to grind a little of the metal on the core support ,and part of the plastic housing of the light assembly away from the low beam side. The high beam fits perfect, and yes they fit in the lights a little looser than the halogens. Not a problem. If you don’t mind a little customization to your core support, and light frame it won’t be a problem. Can’t believe he got those low beams in with no issues! Now add a relay and fuse and modify your lowbeams to stay on with your high beams.... great video i have a 95 Chevy Silverado and I have been thinking about led or a 55w hid
After watching your video, I bought these exact Auxbeam LEDs for my 1995 GMC Suburban K2500. My headlights are not original, but are OEM from a GMC dealership. In order to fit the Auxbeams (heat sink was too tall), I had to shave off quite a bit of plastic from the black bracket that supports the headlights on the chassis. How did you install your Auxbeams? You mention no fitment difficulties in your video.
LED's on a vehicle that was engineered to have them = OK. LED's added to a vehicle engineered to have halogen bulbs = EPIC FAIL. Don't take my word, search a bit and you will see why it's a fail.
Especially projectors will love LEDs, couple dudes in a Finnish Volvo forum tested some locally sold ones, and they found that they're less blinding than original halogens...
Show me the DOT Approved These are bright! too bright for on coming traffic. I put in LED replacements and 50% of oncoming traffic flash me to let me know its too bright.
@@fish4fun354 - NO, they are not designed to be put in "projector housings". They need to be installed into a reflector housing that is designed for the particular LED lamp. None of the LED retrofit bulbs comply with the international standards for halogen bulbs like H1, H3, H4, etc.

If you ever want to make it look meaner or just have a different look you should get after market headlight casings I’m going to do blacked out with my 2004 suburban:))) along with some LED, RGB lights :))
Now add a relay and fuse and modify your lowbeams to stay on with your high beams.... great video i have a 95 Chevy Silverado and I have been thinking about led or a 55w hid
Awesome, can’t wait to put those on my 95 Yukon, thanks dude, keep up the videos
Thanx for the vid....just got some for my suburban too!!
Great video and are the led lights still working ???
Awesome video! Straight to the point!!!
Might have to go get those for my 1995 Chevy suburban but got tinted headlights how would it affect those???
Everyone hates people who have LED’s but everyone wants to have LED’s... weird
LED's on a vehicle that was engineered to have them = OK. LED's added to a vehicle engineered to have halogen bulbs = EPIC FAIL. Don't take my word, search a bit and you will see why it's a fail.
@@matt9c1 Lot of LEDs are made to emulate halogens as close as possible. If you get quality LEDs and aim them right, nobody should get blinded.
Especially projectors will love LEDs, couple dudes in a Finnish Volvo forum tested some locally sold ones, and they found that they're less blinding than original halogens...
@@matt9c1 what if you literally dont care? And just want to see good regardless of others
@@jimcrawford3259 Then, you are an asshole.
Thanks for being honest in your disclaimer 👍
Thanks, ill get 2 sets for my 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe and my 1998 Chevrolet Silverado. they look fantastic.
What do you think of them so far are they Bright would reccomed on buying
Show me the DOT Approved
These are bright! too bright for on coming traffic.
I put in LED replacements and 50% of oncoming traffic flash me to let me know its too bright.
You are correct and they are not DOT approved. I'm happy with the 5 dollar sealed beams on my Firebird.
My jdms are brighter and there dot approved
Meant to be put in projector housings.
They are not legal.
@@fish4fun354 - NO, they are not designed to be put in "projector housings". They need to be installed into a reflector housing that is designed for the particular LED lamp. None of the LED retrofit bulbs comply with the international standards for halogen bulbs like H1, H3, H4, etc.
Did you have to use a resistor or is it built in? I could not find that info on their site
how are they going to stay vertical like you want, because once you turn them to lock them in place they are now at like a 45* angle are they not?
Are the high beams the same bulbs or are they different?
So that was just the low beam bulbs? Can you upgrade the high beams as well?
Nice!!! Was waiting for this exact video !!!! Cant wait to see high beams done
Haha. Cool!!
Bet your charging system is much happier with all your LED upgrades.
For more light output with the LED's, look into come light assemblies with clear lenses, not the fluted ones like OEM
The link in the description are the led for the low beam light and not the high beam?
Do they make them for the HIgh Beams??
As always love your video---I have same year as yours--Question: did they hold up? I have a couple of friends who claim they got really hot without fan and failed in about 6 months...what has your experience been??
Did you change both highbeam and lowbeams or just low beams?
Hey been waiting for next video on you installing leds high beams
How have these bulbs held up?
So just to be clear , the whole LED light goes side ways because both sides lights up right ??
Yes, both sides of the system have 3 LED's on them, they must face sideways to hit the reflectors inside the housing.
Jim Henline great pic BTW .
Do you know if these lights would work in a 1998 Chevy Silverado Pickup? 🤔
Will they fit a 1997 silverado? I want to order these bulbs.
How are these bulbs holding up?
Are those the GX series auxbeams ?
where did you buy the lightbulb whats the link
Hey bro. I have a 95 k1500 with a single head light but want to convert to your headlight set up. The plastic that’s attached to the headlight, does it just screw to the rad support or is there another plastic piece I need ?
You just saved me a lot of time thanks this rocks
How are the headlights holding up?
When I installed my lights I just slid the battery to the side. No reason to remove the whole headlight assembly.
Can't put hi beam in front behind
How long did they last? Ive ordered other leds amd only last 2 months tops.
Did you get any radio interference after installing the bulbs?
What running bulbs do u recommend??
So how did these hold up ?
What do you think of them so far
I have a 1997 k2500 and the link you posted states on Amazon that these don't fit my truck. That's surprising being they are pretty much the same trucks and I typed in your truck and they says it don't fit.
Do you have to check with the state you live in concerning LED lights?
Hey Jimmy! Quick question, do you have any issues with the lights flickering? I know they sell an anti flickering harness but wanted your input before purchasing. Hope to hear back from ya. Nice vid!
You need to pull out day time running light fuse .They run a different ballast making them flicker .
Awesome!! Do they have these lights for a 2015 f150? How much are these headlight bulbs?
Can you buy high beam as well as low beam?
Yes but they are 9005/hb3 style for this type of truck .
Did you ever get the high beams? If so what are the p/n for those? I have a 94 Silverado that needs a facelift due to a deer hit. Trying to get better lighting all around
