What a way to start the morning and week ahead! Amazing review as always Dan! Really enjoyed it. Very nice to see that the ride firmness can change on the fly. Its a pain having to stop all the time to make changes. Just a beautiful bike! Love it! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Nice review Dan, keep them coming. I've 8K+ miles on my Gen3 S1000R and absolutely love it! For me, very comfortable and the riding position inspires confidence in the corners. Yes it is vibey around 6,000 rpm and the stock mirror visibility is poor. Personally I prefer this headlight over the older models and the night time illumination is very good. Tip, putting the bike in Dynamic Pro mode changes the exhaust acoustics, you get lovely pops on the overrun.
Took one out, brilliant, must be awesome on a track, more than enough power for most ,i normally ride a ducati 1200r and a gsxs 1000. Going to buy one of these for sure.
Good work Dan. I tested this against my speed triple 1050 RS .. unfortunately I found it quite dull at road legal riding, whereas the triumph is far more character full. Once it’s flying pretty much like most inline fours, it really comes alive.
Been waiting for quite some time for this review, thanks Dan! I understand the character of S1000R doesn't appeal to everyone but I absolutely love mine to bits and keep chuckling to myself just like you in the video
Man, oh, man! I’ve been looking to trade in my bike for a 2023 BMW S1000rr BUT I went to a BMW demo today and rode the S1000rr and then the S1000r because the rr was taken on that cruise and I completely fell in love with the naked version! I’m die hard into full fairing sport bikes but after riding the naked… I’m seriously thinking of going for it, instead!
Nice review Dan, I love that bike. 1000cc nakeds are just amazing arnt they. I love them so much. That BMW looks awesome and very manageable if you want to potter around but its got plenty of beans if you want that weekend blast. If I had the money, I would definitely consider it. I hope you had some fun with the lambo off camera ha ha
Just sold my cbr650r and I’m really hoping on getting this as my next bike. Just hoping the 1000cc isn’t going to be a bit too much. Love the video, thanks.
If the camera you have aimed at you were mounted behind you looking at the road behind you, combined with your POV helmet cam, this would have been one of the best motorcycle videos I've ever seen on youtube! I can't stand when people aim the camera at themselves though... It blocks all the views, and it's quite pointless IMO. I still loved the video though 👍
That new bmw, many thousands and very very expensive services, which are mandatory, to empty your pockets, 0-60...on Google 3.05 sec, my 98 kawasaki ZX-9R 3.05 seconds. £1990. Full service history. Not aimed at you my friend, but a fool born every day. I have a 2016 mt-10 to. Love bikes. Good work brother 👏
Okay paper warrior. Now try riding one. I'll take this BMW over an old-ass Kawi (or an MT-10) any day. I don't know where you are from (probably somewhere without good dealerships) but the service on my F900R is about the same as my last Husqvarna, pretty much the same as any modern bike.
The old oddeyed s1000r is another kinda breed, more touring. This is uncomfortable (seat and vibey, not very ergonomic bars), well sportsbike, way more flickable as the old one. Forged wheels are a treat. Valve opens in akra at like 4k, from 6k it gets really fun. Well it's an inline4 after all. That lightweight batts shed kinda 3kg. They barely fit so they are needed... quite tight there.
I'm starting to consider replacing my 2018 MT-10 with a S1000R, but I'm wondering about the riding position on the bike, compared to the MT-10 which I really like. Any thoughts ? Thanks
I just took a mental inventory of the offerings that manufacturers have and the bagged cousin of this makes my list. My heart says S1000XR, but my wallet says used R9T. If I wanted a sporty naked I’d want something a little more lively and aggressive (trying to avoid the “BMW is so perfect it’s boring” statement).
The seat height stuff you do is really good ! Could you possibly expand it to one foot down/one side? My bike is 830 mm tall. Too high for both feet down (wide seat too). But, NP at all with one foot/one side. I always ride my bike with one foot down.
Do you have any dates or planning to get hold of the new Hornet? Really interested in one of those, intrigued to see what you think of it as I trust your reviews & content.
Bmw s1000r, Ktm 1290 Super Duke and Triumph Speed Triple 1200RS. I would appreciate it if you could let me know the features, pros and cons of each model. And which model would you choose?
Aaaand I have to ask the age old question: Do you have to drive a 2 wheeled bmw like a 4 wheeled one ? Like in the sense of tailgating, no indicators, high beams and honking at everything and everyone, because they aren't going at 200mph.
Problem with today’s motorcycle manufacturers is that bikes are becoming too complicated. And the more complicated they become the less reliable they become. These new electronics fail they render the bike useless or inoperable.

Took me 4 videos for someone to mention seat height and their inseam! Appreciate you!

Just purchased the 2023 s1000r msport. I love it! Its very comfortable! Fast! Suspension is great! Just need a windscreen! Nice video!
It's a naked bike lol.
Took one out, brilliant, must be awesome on a track, more than enough power for most ,i normally ride a ducati 1200r and a gsxs 1000.
Going to buy one of these for sure.
Just bought a 2023 .... thanks to you!
Oh my, what a nostalgia fest. Riding all around the area I used to live in as a youngster. What great roads. A real treat
I recently got the previous gen S1000R and its a weapon. i can only imagine this to be better.
Good work Dan. I tested this against my speed triple 1050 RS .. unfortunately I found it quite dull at road legal riding, whereas the triumph is far more character full. Once it’s flying pretty much like most inline fours, it really comes alive.
Recent subscriber. Because before I got my A licence I felt that these videos were simply for unattainable machines. Now I love your content.

I love the headlight set-up! The 2025 looks like it was stolen from Ducati's "insect eyes" design, no thanks.

I’ve been tracking my s10000r for a few seasons.. for a naked road bike ,it’s completely at home on track
Good review and strange to see the warm weather again after the recent -5C spell!

Awesome Dan! Hasn't been that sunny and warm at Blackbushe for a while! I keep an eye out for you, but keep missing you.
I got to demo one of these this morning and I’m smitten. Very high contender to replace my CBR650R.
Did you replace it with the S1000R?
Great video as always but… the sound of that Lambo at the end👌🏻 :)
Just sold my cbr650r and I’m really hoping on getting this as my next bike. Just hoping the 1000cc isn’t going to be a bit too much.
Love the video, thanks.
Good luck!
I was so in to mt09 sp, but I’m defenitively buying this one.
Looks like Dan had more fun than the Gallardo he was chasing, cheers!

Thanks for the comment, although I'm happy with my camera angles. :)

How does the GSX-S1000 compare Dan? More comfy? Better low down power? Cost less...but would you pick it over the S1000r?
So if you owned a suzuki gsxs 1000 2022 would you exchange for the bmw please?

Very attractive bike. I prefer the whoomph kicking in earlier. It's a shame more companies don't make triples.
Nice video Dan

You don’t have a BMW dealer near you?
My options is Ducati street fighter V2 or Bmw s1000r sport pkg
What do you think
I love this bike just wish it wasn’t so peaky. By the time you’re playing in the power it’s far too fast. At least the superduke is punchy around town
Perfect bike how does it compare to the Street fighter v4 and the 1390 Superduke ?

Fair enough mate! 👍

Thinking about trading in my 890 Duke r for one?
😂 @4.55mins!!! Nice 👍🏽
Gorgeous 🥰😍 bike
🔥🔥🔥

I'll be getting the new Hornet in early March. So videos coming soon!
Everyone is shitting on the light but I really like it lol... I kinda want an m1000r but my wallet says no.
Bmw s1000r, Ktm 1290 Super Duke and Triumph Speed Triple 1200RS.
I would appreciate it if you could let me know the features, pros and cons of each model.
And which model would you choose?
Very nice but I think I’d prefer something with a fairing like the KTM Super Adventure.
The k63 s1000r w fairings is called K67 s1000rr ;)
@@ronr6605 Thanks for that.
Vibes are a deal breaker.

How did you set your gopro?
2.7k 60fps Protune max iso 400 min 100 with flat colour profile and Super view.
Cool vid. Hopefully you’ll get ( to ride) a new triumph street triple rs, in red, next year. Please Santa? 🎅🎄 👍🤪🇨🇦
Check my recent vids. Thanks! 😊
Which is more comfortable this or your SV?
Slightly different, seat better on the BMW. Riding position better on the SV.
Are going to trade in your sv650 for one of these?
No.
I want this s1000r m package the one with the blue and red colour the only thing is money 😂
I feel your pain! 😭
Did Dan test the BMW 900r?
I did, a while ago now.
@@Englishbikerdan OK I'll take a look 👍
what camera gear do you use for your riding videos please?
All my gear is in the description. 👍
How to top speed
Twist the noisy tube! 😁
165hp I thought it was claimed 205 hp
thats the M1000R with the shift cam engine.
Should've blown the white supercar off before the end! 😄
I may have had a little play with them off camera....😉😂
M package on a motorbike 🤪
HOLA 👋🏼
This bike cost 38000€ in Denmark 😢
I live in DK too. How about used? What are the alternatives? Kawasaki Z900 or Z1000?
Great bike but I just don't see the point of it.
Why? That bike will keep you smiling for miles.
🤤🤤

While I agree about the complicated bikes, there's also plenty of new simple bikes out there.
Nice review but not my cup of tea.
'she roars'😐sounds like a wasp flying by....get a V4😃
V4's sound good too, but I do love a screaming IL4.
