Happy Monday yall! Please note, I am saying that using thecoverproject.net is a great resource for personal use. I would not sell games using the reprinted cover art to try to pass off as original...don't do that!!! Thanks for watching everyone!
Import Tuner Challenge is the last (and only HD) game in the Tokyo Extreme Racing series (popular on Dreamcast)
Totally agree Rick. If you do sell the games at any point just let the buyer know it’s not original cover Art. Most people wouldn’t care as long as your up front about it.
I was JUST going to comment about this. Thanks for clarifying. I like to get cases with labels, or print my own so it looks nice in the shelf and they’re not just loose. But would def never sell something that way without clarifying.
Though I don’t really sell, just collect and display so I’ve not really had to deal with that directly (to the displeasure of my wife). 😂😂
I may use this resource since I’ve got Shinobi for PS2 that I got from GameStop years ago that was disc only. 👍
Man I love your game collection
I would say just for ethical reasons if you were go sell the game with the reprinted label i would watermark it saying its a reproduction cover but for a personal collection I see nothing wrong with reproduction cover art
Totally agree!
I think they should say "repro" or something like that on them.
I think just disclosing it would be okay. & obviously letting the price reflect that since a collector might have to then go buy the original box.
@@unicornsandglitteeer i absolutely agree, but if its for personal collection I don't think its a problem.
For sure. Honesty is the only policy.
I can’t believe how excited I was for you finding that copy of chibi-robo lol. Love this channel keep up the good work.
im still in shock! Thanks for watching Matthew!
This man goes to goodwill and finds legit gold, I go to goodwill and find doom dvd for 2$
This right here.
I can’t find anything. I rarely go because of that
@@teneleven2818 Same, I think I'll try hunting a little harder but I'm pretty sure my area just sucks
It takes multiple trips per week to possibly find something good.
@@RetroVideoArchive yeah ik, that's why I said I just need to try harder
I literally just found harvest moon for gamecube it was $2
thats amazing...great find!
@@retrorick Thank u
wild find!
LETS GO!
Didn’t expect to see you here 😂
@@SergIo-gp9lg Seth teaches me about kicks, I teach him about game hunting
Didn’t know Seth was cultured about retro stuff, that’s a big fat W imo 😂
Seth about to be on the same thing with the kicks 😆
Man NFL Blitz 2000 on the N64 was one of my favorite sports titles...so crazy to think not even 3 years later they have Blitz 2003 on Xbox....wild!
haha it really is!
Love cover art project! Such a cool site! Ironic enough, I use the straight edge cutter I scored at the goodwill for 2 bucks to cut my covers
The Goodwills where I live never have more then 2 to 3 games at a time and the are usually kinect games.
I’m glad you got import tuner !! Also Chibi BROOOOOOOO let’s do another TRADE lol I need that !!!
leave Chibi Robo alone bro...its mine!!!!
@@retrorick noooooooooo lol awesome find.
Incredible find. I love Chibi Robo. Definitely one to play, especially with your kiddo. It's really cute and fun.
No way I can’t believe you found Chibi Robo!
I can't believe he didn't pick it up
honestly...i cant believe it either...still shook
@@williamtell2053 oh i got it!!!
@@retrorick that's great I didn't see that you picked that one up in the video
Bro you’re so lucky, that Chibi Robo game cost a fortune of $500 dollars on eBay and everywhere else. 😳 except thrift stores if you’re lucky. :)
i know i am...i still cant believe we found it!!
it sold on ebay recently 234-250 dollars not 500.
@@FLipSide5254 oof
@@FLipSide5254 I thought it would be more than that.
@@FLipSide5254 I hope the prices go down to at least $80 or less
I found a copy of Steel battalion at goodwill in February for $5. Not as good as Chibi Robo, but it made my month.
God dammit Rick. I was just going to go to bed! Ah well what's a extra half hour 🤣
haha sorry Sam...hope you enjoyed the episode!
@@retrorick great episode as ever! What a find 😍
My craziest find I found in goodwill actually happened in a span of 5 years each. In October of 2015, I found a complete copy of Paper mario and a thousand year door for $5. 5 years later in October of 2020, I found another copy, this time just the game with the case for $2. Paper mario thousand year door for $2!
holy crap...that is wild! That game has skyrocketed
Retro Rick I know it definitely has , I bought a CIB copy of paper Mario 1000 yr door last year for $49 at half price book , and i felt kinda bad because i usually don’t spend that much for 1 game , but it has skyrocketed lately so it was worth it
Just leaving a comment to support your channel. Thanks man!!!
Thank you so much Josh!!!
What an amazing Haul and I thought your fire emblem radiant dawn pickup was amazing! Unreal
so did i!! Still cant believe it
What an absolute score! I found Skies of Arcadia Legends for $5
what a great score Liam!
I paid 220$
Nice finds. I recently found fable anniversary for $3. It's valued at nearly 40-50$
Yo Rick! You should definitely do some yard sale game hunting for the $10 series!
Algun video de esos video juegos wasach?
Yeah definitely. Also I'm a big fan of your funko vids
Keep up the great work, watching these videos and seeing those dope old school games brings me back to my childhood days.
I found a copy of Fire Emblem Path of Radiance at Goodwill that's in really good condition. The funny thing is that someone I know told me about it and he didn't know what it was so he didn't get it. I went two days later and it just happened to be buried under some other stuff in their display case. I think that's probably the only reason it was still there.
Chibi robo is such a charming game haha!
cant wait to play it!!!
DUUUUUDDDDDE That's an amazing find. Congrats!
Craziest find at Goodwill. Mantle clock from west Germany 60's era. Paid 10 bucks worth north of 500. It was clean had the wind up key in it and works.
Buddy of mine found Chibi-Robo, Cubivor, Baton Katos and a couple of other heavy hitter Gamecube games at our Salvation Army. Same dude bumped into a Goodwill employee on her way to stock some games and walked out with Conker's Bad Fur Day, Smash Bros, Mario 64 and a few others. All of them are in my collection now.
I know how you feel about finding Chibi Robo! I found my copy last year at an antique store in a small town in Maine for $10. Amazingly fun game!
Found a copy of Zelda Twilight Princess for GC at Goodwill a couple months ago for $3. Sold on eBay for $152.50. Insane.
Dude what a find!! Freaking love seeing all these finds everyone is having
That’s good thing and thanks for sharing your video with me thanks again 🙏❤️🤩😱it’s look amazing both games art print look good 👍
Damn... I just bought a chibi complete for $220, so insanely good find man...
Wow, that’s an awesome Goodwill find. Good job dude 👍🏼
thank you my friend...still shook from finding it!
I mostly go to my local flea market but the most expensive game i have found for cheap was actually a sealed halo 3 helmet special edition that i bought for 45$. I sold it on ebay for 435$
Keep up the good work man my best find was a 90s donkey Kong t shirt that’s selling between $300-$400
Nice!!!! My best single game find was samurai western PS2 complete for 3$ at my nearest thrift store
How is 101 Dalmatians worth $30 here in the UK it's about £3 super common surely is must be common in the states
Found a copy of Seaman complete with microphone at Mt Mission ( local goodwill type store) for Dreamcast for 5.00. Value 90 plus.
I found all in one go. Pokémon Colosseum for the game cube complete, game and Wario for the Wii U complete, JSRF for the Xbox complete, DEF jam fight for New York for the Xbox complete, rhythm heaven fever disc Only for Wii, Xbox dark alliance one and two complete, Xenoblade chronicles x for Wii U complete and brand new gta vice city and gta 3 in a double pack. Both grand theft auto games are brand new, the double pack was opened for Xbox and a bunch of other Games that range in the 30-15 range. I got all for 2 - 4 dollars each i believe.
Yeah I love your damn collection I have been watching you since 2018
I use to work at goodwill, and it is still one of my favorite jobs. The best thing to do is make friends with the donation attendant because they can hold stuff for you and call you when they have the good stuff.
It’s not as impressive but I found Mario sunshine for 45 cents
Was it complete?
@@Shanec0716 well,no it’s missing the manual
great find my friend!
Man I bet you weren't trying to show your emotions with that one. Great pick up
Still amazes me how much value used DVDs have in the US. Here in the UK most are 50cents and people just give them away. And most of those 360games you picked up at worthless here. Just amazes me the value on some of these items, though great pick ups.
Awesome finds my biggest Goodwill score was Xenosaga iii for $6 sold it for $222
DUUUUUUUUDE.... BADASS FIND!!! One of my best has been a sealed MMX 30th anniversary from iam8bit for 3$. wasn't in the goodwill showcase as i entered the store but was there when i was in line!
heck yes...what a find!!
Found a copy of obscure on the ps2 for $5 and actually traded it recently for a chibi robo!
my goodwill scans all the games and puts any worth over $10 for the ebay price or higher. I found Tomba on the shelf for $3 and when I went to buy the cashier told me that game should be in the case and $3 is too low. after they went to the back for a price check they came back with a $300 sticker on the game. I was so salty. I didnt even know they could take stuff back and reprice it after.
i would have been so mad
Oh man....I'd be so mad. I'd demand to talk to all people higher up and leave a neg reciew
@@lawfullucyless6715 It bummed me out so much I was in a disapoiunted mood the whole rest of the day. Nothing could make me happy lol. Oh well I ended up buying it on ebay for $190. I wanted it for my collection
@@William47345 well. I'm glad you were able to buy it for yourself.
Another thing about the Cover Project, is I always use gloss paper to make it feel slightly more real. Pretty sure you can get gloss paper at like walmart! I love the cover project as well!
thats a great tip!
No where even close to that good of a find for me at the thrifts. But what comes to mind is finding XIII and MIB Alien Escape both on GameCube for $1 each. About$60 in value for those right now. I go a lot, but probably don’t put as much time into it as you do. Killer week of finds!
Some of my best finds at Goodwill was a complete very clean copy of PS2 Rule of Rose and a complete copy of GC Luigi's Mansion. There are some great games out there you just have to look and wait for one that you have never seen that is worth a lot or is the game you have been wanting to get but just do not want to pay the price online.
I also got my Chibi Robo at a Goodwill 2 years ago for $4. Great find!
I found a GameCube game called slot car racing at goodwill for $3 and sold it for $100 I was gonna keep it but the game was so bad 😂
Thanks for sharing that website, that is an amazing tool!!! And congrats on Chibi Robo!!!
Of course Charles!!!
Omg chibirobo one of my faves from back in the day
Funny seems this guy has no respect towards the people at the front counter!? Simple please or thank you?? Lol. All your sports games and wwf games are worth nothing, Xbox games are worth nothing. Other than the GameCube game, would have passed. Deal with guys like this every time I go in goodwill, they have 0 respect towards everyone
Ha I actually am super kind to the people that work at goodwills, they all know me by name. You aren’t hearing the entire transaction...I cut out a lot where nothing is happening during check out
My best goodwill find, was about 7-8 years ago. It was a Gamecube component cable. 99 cents. Flipped it in days for $190.00. Not sure if the value has held up since theres 3rd party hdmi options now for cheaper. It was my best score, whether games or general reselling, ever.
holy crap...whats that going for now?!
@@retrorick like 300
Nice pickups, I’d say Star Fox Adventures for 2 dollars has been my best find
I love the Neverending Story!
I would say my coolest find was either the green n64 for 15 bucks or the monopoly pinball I got for 15 that sales for over 200
I saw the Monopoly Pinball you mentioned on a FBM post a couple years back in the box and messaged about it. Went to pick it up and the lady was like since the box was kind of in rough condition, I brought this other one too, it was a Spyro one still new in the box. Ended up getting both of them for $40 total. I held off on opening either of them for a while because it seemed kind of wrong to open vintage old new stock, but decided to take them out and set them up for my son’s birthday last year. We setup a small arcade in the garage with those two and a couple of the $50 Arcade1Ups from a Walmart Clearance.
My best Goodwill find was NCAA Basketball '10 for $2, turned it around for $60. Good finds are few and far between for me, mostly shovelware and Madden games 99% of the time
nice flip! Always on the lookout for that game
@@retrorick you missed the ncaa football 11 sitting with the 360 games
@@kevinpatterson8901 hey Kevin, I don’t think that one is worth picking up for the 360
If I have a loose game, even if it's one I want for my collection, I'll just build up a pile then trade them in to get other stuff I want at my local game store. And any empty cases I get, I keep the ones for expensive games in case I find them later on
That sounds cool
totally get that
That Godzilla 98 soundtrack :'(
ha i know right
I found smash bro 64 complete in box for 10 $
oh dang...what a find!!!!
Man, I can't believe you found Chibi Robo! At Goodwill!
I STILL CANT EITHER!
Let’s go the legend uploaded!!!!
we back!!!!
Microsoft + Nintendo + Google + SNK Playmore + Sony + sega / should just joint forces team up and make a ultimate console together it would be better for gaming 🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝🤝
Craziest find at Salvation Army is Silent Hill on Ps1
Man wish I could collect like this
I think you can Ryan! Where are you located?
Massachusetts
I haven’t even heard of chibi robo 🤖
Bc you are an old man..if it’s not pong, you don’t know it
@@retrorick oh pong! I know that! 🤣
Rick look out for super monkey ball banana blitz because u now worth 20 dollars pls repley
Ill do it..thanks for the tip!
Congrats bro on the chibi robo.. I would love to find that at a goodwill or garage sale I'm going for a complete cube collection
oh nice! Im so far off from a complete Gamecube set...though i would love one!
I’m 39 and I’ve never watched The Never Ending Story... am I broken? Did realise however that the guy doing the voice is the same guy who done Skeletor which is kinda neat.
Best Goodwill find, $100 Wilson tennis racket bag for $9.99. Chibi-Robo is super fun. My kids and I played it to death. Too bad our disc is so gouged it won't play anymore :(
oh no! Can it be resurfaced potentially?
@@retrorick Possibly, hoping its not down to the data layer. Always hunting for another working copy at thrift/garage sale prices. :)
You can take that tmnt 3 on vhs sitting on the floor and toss it in the trash.
hahahaha no doubt
My craziest finds ever at a thrift store was finding 7 Pokemon games on the Nintendo DS in really amazing shape. I found Pokemon Platinum, Pokemon White, Pokemon Pearl, Blue Rescue Team, Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness, and Explorers of Sky. Got em all for a total of $10. That was quite awhile ago. Haven't had a great find since then sadly.
Craziest finds at goodwill are too numerous for me to name off but I did find Gotcha Force on GC and it is mint for like $5 and also Earthbound loose for $5. Hard to say though all the games in my collection have been that price though and the values have gone so nuts I don't even know what they are all worth anymore.
Nice score and keep the videos coming. Always entertaining and lots of great information for retro hunting. I found Mariokart Double Dash a couple of months ago with the bonus disc!
Nice score on Chibi Robo - picked mine up for $35 - it's not my style at all yet I can't part with it. Gamecube prices have gone all bonkers lately.
like they wild man...ive thought about selling all my gamecube stuff multiple times
What finds this week.
Bravo sir, bravo
Love your work
I was teaching my friend how to flip games and I had him watch every one of your $10 game collection vids lol. Thanks so much for all the tips!
How the hell did find Chibi Robo that easily?....Now selling for upwards of £150 in the UK!..Am so jealous...Keep up the great vids man.
In our country (UK), this business model ain't really viable. The US market is nuts! That 101 dalmations film here is probably like a £3-£5 film, over in the US, that had a sold listing of $50. The reseller market over here is crazy aswell, eBay is full of retail prices and so is FB marketplace. Charity shops can sometimes score well, but you don't find anything like Chibi Robo ever, just doesn't happen. Bet that game wouldn't even turn up at a car boot sale either for the kind of price Rick got it for, too collectible and valuable.
Well to be honest , it wasnt easy haha...im talking years and years of hunting at goodwill and have never found a find like this! Thanks for watching Andy
Cool I found Chibi Robo in a Gamecube once, so I have it loose but I swear that game was like $30 loose when I got it. Prices have gone mad bro.
Let’s freaking gooo guys . Hit that friggim subscribe button . Road to 100k . Retro Rick is taking over UA-cam
My best game find thrifting was either also a copy of Chibi Robo complete for $2.99 though lol, or a black label regular jewel case version of Alien Trilogy for PS1!
I have kung fu panda for xbox 360 loose, so I just put it to a Lion King 1 and a half case, because that movie kinda sucks. And then I drew the artwork myself. It's totally not the same as the original 😂, but there's no way I would change it anymore
15:45
It's the one on the far right, of the pair you asked for, you couldn't read the title until she brought em out! Truly a hidden gem! Great find, friend!
Soooo are GameCube and Dreamcast games really popular? Awesome information btw 👍🏻 Keep On Geekin
How'd you miss NCAA 11?
I actually will go and just straight up buy a replacement case. But I DID use the Cover Project for my copy of Link’s Crossbow Training, which never had a plastic case and only ever came in a sleeve. I bought it at a pawn shop in a generic case with the manual, and I ordered a replacement blank Wii case and printed a fan made cover for it, and it looks great on my shelf
The Goodwills throughout my entire county here in Florida have completely removed the DVD/Video Game shelving from all the stores. Can’t game hunt anymore :( down to just a few thrift stores
2-3 bucks should be the max movie price, but $3-15 is my Goodwill price. I'll just Dollar Tree.
I got Chibi Robot during its launch week. I was excited for it after reading about it in Nintendo Power. Crazy how it's value has shot up. I'm not letting go of my copy.
Holy Cow, Chibi-Robo are you kidding me. That is totally insane, I doubt you'd ever bear that Rick 🤙🍻
RetroRick... what kind of paper are you using for your video game cover print outs?? Just plain ol copy paper or do you have a specific go to??? Telling you man... got to get a GoPro so you have access to your phone for those prices lol
im actually not sure...i think they used a higher quality at the copier place that i went. Ive thought about the go pro idea but i like the flexibility to have my camera in my hand to focus in on things!
@@retrorick hey we love the footage regardless brother! Appreciate all that you do!!

Haha, it truly pained me to see logos and text being cut off of the Mario Party 6 cover. I’m wondering if you could just set it to print at 100% scale instead of fit-to-page?
This is crazy games are worth nothing in the uk you couldn’t give that game away I can’t believe people pay that much 😳🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not at goodwill but at a yard sale I found a bunch of games and one of them was Power Stone 2 for Dreamcast! I paid $.25 for it! Last month I also found Skyward Sword for $1 at a thrift store!
My best thrift find is Pokemon Colosseum in clean condition!
oh dang...what a find!!
