Hmm... I feel you left out some valuable lessons:
Each generation stands on the shoulders of previous generations. Making the path easier to tread. We dont have to reinvent the wheel.
The heroes had no desire to be heroes. There are not many living heroes.
It is a title gained usually after one has died. Am sure there is a lot more. But has been 40 years since i read his books. And was looking for a refresher. But this isnt it.
Hope you strive to make it better.

Of course I did. This is a 4-minute summary of a whole book :D Our format is always the same: 3 lessons, 4 minutes. So that even busy people can learn something interesting from a good book and maybe read it in full later. For full summaries, you can check out Blinkist, for example (affiliate link): fourminutebooks.com/go/blinkist
But yes, we are always striving to make our summaries better regardless :) Thanks for the comment!

I prefer a human voice, sopped watching after 20 seconds. The monomyth deserves a less monotone narrator.

Dear Frits, this IS a human voice. It might not be your favorite, but I want you to know that a human read this for you, not a machine :)

Try this experiment: Write something down. Start a timer. Read it. Note the time when you're done. Start the timer again. Read it out loud. Note the time. Tell me what you find!

@@FourMinuteBooks its morbin time. On serious note your videos are superb content and I wasn’t taking a jab, I was just being pedantic as a joke. The only thing I kind of dislike is that the voices sound almost too robotic/monotone. I heard it isn’t AI so why try to make it sound AI? By the way, what is the purpose of the write/read/time experiment?

@@Sh0n0 Just to show that everything takes longer when you read it out loud. It's not always obvious! Thank you, I appreciate it! I agree, sometimes it's hard to make a text really come to life with one's voice. But we are also working with limited resources, so we're happy to be able to bring you so many videos as it is! Thank you for watching, we appreciate every single reader, watcher, and follower. It matters :)

Oh my god I had never thought of it like that before lol. Kinda sad that 60 seconds are now all the full story arcs we can muster, but I guess it's true.
