Visited so many times and wondered what it would be like to kayak the falls and now that I see it looked awesome too bad they fined you. It is a big fall though
Reminds me of the water fall in the movie Last Of The Mohicans. Last time i was at the falls i wondered what he would be like to kayak the falls and now i know thanks to Nick Troutman. And open boat was tried years ago two men in it and it went bad for them, some boats in the river rescued the two men both survived but did have hospital stays due to injuries. You got to have a big flow of water in most places to really enjoy your ride.
Suzanne Lecroy dying doing what you love seems like a worthwhile way to go. Too bad he doesn't just sit in a recliner and work a 9/5 for 80 years waiting to die like a lot of people do, right?
I live here near the falls, and people screw around there all the time. There have been a lot of people jump in or kayak down the falls. I've never jumped or went down on a kayak but, I have walked underneath its been about 10 years ago. I don't recommend it bc it's slicker than shit. But it was pretty awesome at the time.
Whats sad is this is the first person view, and he only got like 30k views, but this lady was a bystander, and recorded it, and it grossed over 2.7m views. That don't count the amount of people that watched it on the news as well.
I've grew up just to the south of here and I remember a specific tragedy and then there was always a few tall tales. However, this man was clearly very skilled and didn't have any trouble. He's gonna be the next Falls story for a long time to come. I am gonna have to go back and see If I can find any media on this, I don't instantly remember this and that actually bothers me. Which I can guess that local officials would have speculated that this could lead to copycats, the standard overreaction to something like this. I highly doubt that many of them would understand extreme thrills being something that people would chase after. Glad I found the channel, it's 230 in the morning and that has fired me up, hahaha!
Again a very cool and successful video . Maybe you look so times in my past , I drive also kayak and want times as you are . You are my idol. Maybe like and commenting you yes times a few videos of me would be very happy . With best greet Leon aka Freetime Water

Awesome man, sorry Kentucky fined you, I live here and the state is in debt and desperate for every penny it can get it seems. The interview from the park ranger was pretty weak, "be a shame if we had to actually do our job besides just writing tickets." The rules are there for a reason, but the fact you are an experienced rider who had a crew should have been taken into account.

So freaking cool! That's amazing! Cumberland falls is so amazing! Couple hundred dollar fine, we'll worth it.

I'd love to see someone stop him from kayaking a river

😮
You are a lucky man ....
i live around there
wow
Awesome! I was just there a couple days ago. I'll never understand victimless laws. Kentucky should have paid you guys for the publicity.
The falls are also way higher than they look in this video lol
@@ammocan2796 hate to break it to you Karen but until that happens and someone else's life is actually affected, it's victimless.

Dustin Fugate I’m sure the $78 dollars a year they make from Cumberland Falls kayakers isn’t as desirable as you think
Why sue them then, its a river. If they die they die. Telling me to to yak the river,,,makes me want to yak the river that much more
This is Illegal there just so you know before you try to do it just don’t
My freaking worst fear(besides holes In skin)
😂
very dangerous could of got trapped under water under the falls being tumbled
why did this video make it look not that scary 😭
Because Nick is one of the best in the world. Think of it like watching the medalists in the Olympics. They make their thing look easy.
