- Do you ever just want to take a trip back in time and watch 12 minutes of Adam making out with Tommy? Oh you do? Well, here you go. (See below for a list of when/where all these kisses took place, plus additional context!)
Backstory: In 2009, while performing at the American Music Awards, Adam Lambert famously caused "controversy" by kissing his bass player, Tommy. But as it turned out, their chemistry was a hit with the fans, so it went on to become a recurring element of their stage act throughout the 113-date Glam Nation world tour, starting out as a little rock 'n' roll flirtation and progressing to... well... you'll see. Thanks to fans' dedication, excellent video footage exists of almost every kiss they performed. This video is my totally subjective ranking of the 43 best. It was supposed to be an even 40, but it turned out I had space for an extra three. Kiss rankings based on uniqueness, humor, aesthetic value, and/or intensity of chemistry. ;)
Clips are not mine - I just edited them together (all of them can be found elsewhere on UA-cam) and hope the original creators don't mind.

5. Paris 11/18 - Tommy was so forward that he cut Adam off mid-lyrics. And that shoulder grab...
4. Vienna 11/22 - Adam blanked on the lyrics and just kind of went "HA HA HA!" in Tommy's face instead! I ranked this kiss high for sheer cuteness/purity. Tommy's nod of approval at the end is everything
3. London 11/29 - This is probably actually my personal favorite. Adam appears to have been aiming for the bass, but accidentally grabbed something else, lol (or almost did), surprising Tommy and causing him to to back up laughing. But then it's the way Tommy gets serious and takes over that really makes this kiss amazing. In a wider shot, you can see that he's the one who moves the guitar out of the way so he can get up on Adam and tip him back. Get him Tommy!
2. Munich 11/12 - Love how Tommy is leaning in so close that he almost starts smiling/laughing, and then it's like throat grab oh...
1. "Whole Lotta Love" - Amsterdam, 11/20 - I mean... how could I put this anywhere but #1? The guys were at least a bit high for this one (both literally smoked onstage minutes before) and I can't help wondering if that influenced this performance, lol.
The best liplocks of all time and the evolution of Tommy's eyeshadow is a thing to be admired.
I love how Tommy just runs to adam and is like please kiss me ❤❤

I remember that was an atmosphere that developed as I was editing the video, and it felt right to me. I mean I think there's a melancholy to revisiting this moment in time (glam nation & the adam/tommy chemistry), and I wanted to try to capture some of that complexity. If I'm spending time making something like this (shh don't tell anyone but I'm not a teenager either, lol) I do enjoy putting some artistic effort into it so thank you for noticing and sharing your thoughts :)

What happened to Tommy
He’s still playing with some artists. He’s very actif on IG and Twitter and he does private lives very often like every 2 or 3 weeks.
yeah, Adam changed up his band in 2014, and they haven't worked together since. they appeared to still be on good terms for a while, but unfortunately, it's pretty clear that isn't the case anymore and hasn't been for a long time. oddly enough, Tommy took an extreme turn to the right politically, supported trump, endorses homophobic/transphobic opinions (like seriously dude... really?), etc. Neither of them has ever addressed it publicly or really said anything negative about the other directly, but considering who AL is, it is obvious to me that the right-wing politics would have been essentially a dealbreaker. last I checked, Tommy's main musical project was playing guitar for a truly abhorrent alt-right gay "pop star" whom I can only describe as what you'd get if you ordered Adam Lambert on Wish 🤷♀️

That is a very difficult thing to do and often people latch onto something different and cling to it instead of whatever substance it was before. Pair that with the massive strength it takes to stay off whatever it is you’re staying off of, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that people who don’t find that strength or just need more help and understanding don’t deserve it.
