1961 VW Beetle - Ammeter Wiring - Huge Pain! - 148

This is the 148th video on the 1961 VW Beetle with 65 pan. In this video I wire the ammeter using 8 gauge wire from the back bench to under the dash. This is a pain and probably not worth it, but I had bought the ammeter and installed it, so I wanted to get it working.

the meter is meant to read - with load and + with the engine running

I am still not 100% sure it is wired right. It reads slight + when running. I don’t think it ever reads - while running or driving…
