Thank you for opening yourself up like this, Kie. You will help so many people just from your transparency. But when sis said, _"tread lightly"_ ... I felt that right there! lol
Now I love both @Mary K Bella and @Kie RaShon even more. Thank you for your transparency sis. 👏🏾😘. Have you watched Curly Chemist? She talks about the benefits of hair grease for natural hair as well as so much great science about and hair maintenance... Happy viewing!
Yes she definitely got my subscription. I'm not balding but there's so much I relate to with the Queen. Including, keeping it simple like we used to: hair grease. And it definitely sounds like it's castor oil for the win and repair as the bottom line too
Sis.I'm greatful you discovered that.Simply leaving it alone. That's what I'v learned yrs.ago gardening. It never failed. Also we as color need not to wash daily as the caucastions..We don't caring oils as they do in our hair So 1,2 MONTHS .It's fine.Yes. Bck.in the day what we used was crown grease as you discovered .Ain't it something when we as color had the best in the past and it proved itself yes.New kids come on the scene trying to over ride what's been here all long yes.God simply ended your journey in this discovery.Your Beautiful simpliy Beautiful. Love Live Give peace. 🌹🌹💞💞
Finally somewhere I fit in! PCOS in 2008…been struggling with my hair since. Depressed, overwhelmed, embarrassed, let down….all the emotions! Glad I’ve found women who can relate. Thank you for your transparency!
Saw palmetto supplement is a DHT blocker that helps women with male pattern baldness caused by high levels of androgen in women with PCOS. The saw palmetto will also help with facial hair problems. Take a vitamin D, zinc, iron and a good multi vitamin. Use 100% rosemary oil on scalp, it stops ✋hair from falling out, it acts like minoxidil without the side effects. Thank you for sharing your story with us❤ Best of luck on your journey!
What she said is true. I've done the research. You can research it, too. Check out the ingredients in Rogaine. Minoxidil is the "female" version of Rogaine. Rosemary is a key ingredient in both of them. You can also verify that the vitamins she recommended can aid in healthy scalp and hair growth. And, yes, saw palmetto IS a DHT blocker. KUDOs to the reader who mentioned all that good information.
Thank you, I started noticingmy hair thinning in the crowd. But my doctors couldn't diagnose the issue or the fertility issue. Now I know it was PCOS. My crowned is pretty much bald but I still being hopeful & trust Jesus will grow it back.
I've had PCOS since I was 15(it had a different name back then, and when I was 18 I was rediagnosed with what we know as PCOS). As a woman in my 30s, I have excessive hair growth, weight gain, migraines, painful periods, spurts of anger/sadness/depression. It's real!!! I really appreciate my guy for understanding and being patient. I appreciate you using your platform to talk about it. It is specifically a hormone syndrome. We are a whole community out here and no one was really talking about it 10 years ago
What helped me with the horrible pcos symptoms are reg exercise, eating no more than 10% gluten diet, eating green vegetables with each meal and drinking atleast 6 cups of water/day.
Your dilemma is exactly what I’m going through for quite some time, I’m 61 never too old too learn, don’t know how I stumbled upon your video but damn Im glad I did. Thanks for the info!
I swear its like dammmnn, PCOS ain't got no chill! How you want to grow hair where its not supposed to be but make me bald where hair supposed to grow? 😪 Make it make sense?!
Me too! so many of us suffer in silence. I've spent so much time & money trying to get my crown to grow back. Mine is from genetics 😞. Thanks for sharing your journey
“TREAD LIGHTLY” That was the BEST opening ever! I must say, you have truly shined your light. Thank you Beautiful for sharing. A great help for me. Continued Blessings
Yess I never heard of PCOS now I'm going to get tested since 2014 I've been growing hair in the bald spot in the top of my head it breaks like it grows I cut my hair and the cycle begins again 😏. At least if this is my diagnosis I can put a name to it and stop worrying about what it is causing it!
Yes! Back to the basics. My closet looks like a hair store from trying all the different hair care products. All that money spent on natural hair products only to find out that hair grease was all that I need.
Sadly my hair Loss started in my early 20's!! I am in my mid 60's and no longer worry about it! Thank you for talking about this Severe Hair Loss problem!😇🙏
Just did another big chop! PCOS doesn’t ever go away! I’m 69 years old and PCOS is still driving me crazy, so everything you’re saying is so true! I’ve had 24 inch LOCS, lengthy perms, long and short natural hair! My Mom even used Vaseline and iodine on my edges! You’re brilliantly strong and beautiful. Keep posting please. Thank you
I have pcos too thank you for sharing that it doesn't go away with age. I have heard iodine helps with thyroid issues never knew about putting it on the scalp wow.
The reason why I wear wigs is because I’ve lost around 60% of my hair. I’m 27 and started losing my hair when I was 15. At this point I don’t worry too much about it, but I’m always open to try new things, especially if they are natural. I’m glad you found something that works for you! And you look as beautiful as ever ❤️
Asuna Nara losing your hair if it is not a specific issue is usually due to an internal issue. It pertains to your GUT. You could be sensitive or allergic to certain foods or one food, also sugars, starches and carbs will cause or aggravate alopecia/balding.
Kie, I can 100% agree and relate to everything you said. I was diagnosed about 2 years ago. Having PCOS feels very degrading. It’s hits us in all the areas we want to feel most confident about. It’s something I wish no women had to go through. Thank you so much for being so transparent and open💗
I thought that I was the only one who went back old school and my hair took off!!! All my mom did was grease it ... PERIOD!!! Blue magic and castor oil for the win!!!
Like seriously, I've learned so much during this, stay away from the braid shop phase, during coronavirus! Went back to that green DAX hairgrease and water, like the good ole days and BAM! Shoulder length hair. God is good.
I went way back, sulfur8 mix with castor oil. My mom made sure our scalps stayed grease🤣🤣. This method is working for me. Always do what’s best for you. Thank you for posting. Video appreciated🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I applaud her courage to just keep it real...simplicity is the key when it comes to all hair types...we often can over do it. It’s important to learn your hair & what works for it. Lovely video sis & thanks for sharing 🙌🏾
Kie, I’m so proud of you! Not only are you fine as wine, but Your transparency will help soooooooo many people! And grease life is the best life!!! You go girl! 💙
Thank you so much for this video! I'm currently suffering from male pattern baldness. Thank you also for shedding light on PCOS. I lot of women don't know about. I was diagnosed around 2007, 2008 and it took my husband and I 9 years to have our daughter. I also grow facial hair and struggle with weight lost. I'm currently studying to become a personal trainer and my focus is going to be women with PCOS. God bless!
I so appreciate you for putting yourself out there like this. I have had the exact same issues, but I have never been diagnosed with PCOS. My crown is completely bald now, it’s strictly wig life for me. Not that I want anyone to experience the same things I have but I do feel less alone. Thank you for being who you are, brave!
Alopecia victim for more than 40 years. I've tried everything except for the old standard, hair grease babygirl. After your video I'm inspired to work to make and keep what I have left healthy. BlueMagic ! ...Amazing! Thank you. Ms Tina
Ashwaganda and Maca root (Hormonal). Thyroid function, Immune function, Stress, and Fast Food/Junk Food. Lack of beauty rest. Msm and vitamin C increase anagen or hair growth phase. Circulation (lack of exercise). Check vitamin D3 levels and Ferritin serious not often checked deficiencies are the cause.
My hair wouldn't grow either following all these hair guru's. I tried some of them and my hair was brittle, not dry. It was like it could break by just touching it. I decided I'm going back to the days where my hair grew, yes I went on line and ordered hair grease, you know the stuff they been telling us not to use???? My hair was soft and protected. Don't believe the hype.
I'm in the mid 40s and when we were kids with big bushes on our heads it was hair grease that got us there. It wasn't all this other stuff. Pink lotion and hair grease.
I appreciate you so much for being transparent. There are so many of us that suffer in silence with hair loss. I have always enjoyed your bubbly spirit, but I love you even the more for being R.E.A.L with your subbies! I'm going to start the blue magic journey also. Thank you Kie!
Hi Kie! Let me just say that watching this video has enlightened me. At 52 years old, I too have/am experiencing the exact hair loss as you. My crown is the mirror image of yours, and as of the recent 6 months my right side edges has fallen out, and my left side nape. I can no longer wear top knots or up swept ponytails. Huge upset for me. Also, like you, I’ve tried countless products to try to regrow my hair, none of them has worked. I am diabetic and hypertensive, both controlled. I attributed my hair loss to the medications that I take. Watching your video is the first time I’ve heard of PCOS. THANK YOU BABY SIS! I will definitely do more research about PCOS and consult my doctor about it. I AM RETURNING TO THAT GOOD OL’ BLUE MAGIC! I’ll definitely keep you posted with before and after pics. God bless you. Keep being informative! 💞💞💞💞💞
With natural supplements I was Cured from PCOS and hair loss totally within 17 days of taking DR RORPOPOR HERBAL on UA-cam medications. Thank you for saving me💘
♥️ Thank you for being vulnerable, Kie. I’m going to begin the PCOS and fertility discussion with my doc on Monday and am so nervous- hence why I’ve been quiet on YT lately. Glad that you found a regrowth regimen that works for you... blue magic is the truth!
“Leave it tf alone” 🤣🤣🤣 I so agree with that statement. I’ve been natural for over 10 years. The length is there but my hair isn’t as thick as it use to be only because I wasn’t “wasn’t leaving it tf alone” I stay wearing wigs and keep my hair moisturize with mielle leave in conditioner and I only wash my hair once a month. It sound “unclean” but it works for me and I have less breakage as long as I keep it moisturized. Cheers to healthy natural hair ♥️
My hair was so thin at the top and edges and nothing was working 😭 started trying everything and finally found some Hair growth oil and now it's starting to get thicker. You can look at their insta or website to see photos and reviews it's hairgrowthco
Words cannot express HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU RIGHT NOW! This video came right on time...I just had my edges ripped out by an evil hair stylist and I am so thankful for women like you who share your priceless knowledge. Bless you sis! You are beautiful and REAL.
I absolutely ADORE how authentic you are Kie! Thank you so much for sharing this video. Your progress is just remarkable! I'm sitting here all engaged with your vibe like you can hear me through the damn video haha. Kudos beautiful!
I lost my hair when I turned 35 and was diagnosed with PCOS. It was very traumatic. My new hair came in so different. I do still (20 years later) lament the loss of my old hair. I didn't start putting on the weight until a few years later. I hope you are spared from that fate. You look so beautiful!! Thanks for sharing your story and bringing awareness to this syndrome.
Thank you for sharing your story! I saw this video about one week after I was diagnosed with early scarring alopecia (plus I have PCOS - gotta love it :|) about six months ago after losing my crown. Since then, I've been on a six-month journey of healing my body from the inside out with nutrition and my hair is growing back. No visible balding. I'm starting to document my journey, what I'm learning, and eating, etc. on my youtube channel. This is a hard journey but we will get through this!
Your talking about me. I don't even know what to say. Your so right about leaving it alone. Thank you again for being fearless and sharing. You don't even know how much this has helped me 🙏🏾
Girrrrllll, you are a scream!😄 I love your energy, your enthusiasm and your truthfulness! You are a wealth of inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing and keep being true to yourself. God bless.
Girl...you out talked me and I can talk. I am loving this video and your personality. My hair loss is related to hormonal loss from menopause. No one tells you about it and I am going to moisture my hair with grease. Thank you
I am on birth control as well and it does help some cases. My period was way too heavy to function day to day. Please continue to do your own research 🤎
Thank you for bringing this to the light. I've been suffering from PCOS since I was teenager. That's been a looong time. I like how you touch on everything that goes on: hair loss (on your head), hair growth where it shouldn't be on women, weight gain, difficulty losing weight, infertility etc.... All of that is depressing to say the least and it does mess with your confidence as a woman. What's even worse is when you have a significant other that doesn't get it. But they got advice (complaints): do something with your hair, shave your face, stop eating and you'll lose weight... I've spent lots of money, time and gone through painful crap to do all of that for myself. It's not my choice to have facial hair and a receding hairline. I would've liked to have the ability to plan when and if I wanted children. But I do Thank God for blessing me with my son! And I didn't have to go through all of the "extra" means that doctors said I would need to do. Anyway, thanks again for posting. I used to think that I was the only one going through this, but that's because no one was really talking about it.
There is nothing that *can* make you feel worse than a man who is putting you down when you are challenged. Its abusive and you deserve better than that. Your child is learning to treat you will great disrespect!! Do what is required to protect him if not for yourself. Sending you light and a sound mind.
I have not (yet) been diagnosed with PCOS but Honeeyy, You are my Hair Twin! Where you're thin, I'm thin, Your Struggle is MY Struggle! Thanks for your openness my Sister from another mister! Seeing my OBGYN soon and will inquire about PCOS.
I have PCOS this was very helpful! I never see black women w PCOS stories online that talk about hair loss so I am so happy to have found you. I had long luscious hair and I went thru such loss and stress the last 6 months and allll of my hair fell right out! No matter what I did it would not grow - the more I tried caring for it/ the more it fell out! I’ve never been like this with like 70% thick curly locks Gone! I have natural 4c coils and when I look in the mirror I want to cry - but I am just going to do as you said: use them blue magic n leave it TF ALONE!!
As a person with PCOS I love this video! The only time I lost hair in the middle of my crown was due to my stress. I remember waking up and my hair was laying on my pillow. I lost it and broke down. 2 years later I went natural and my hair grew back and it’s the healthiest and longest it’s ever been. Other than that I have always been werewolf hairy. Head, shoulders, knees and toes knees and toes! My edges Damn near grow an inch to my eyebrows like they are waiting a few years to connect!!! I have to get extremely painful laser hair removal treatment on my neck and chin or else I look like speedy Gonzales with a bread and connecting mustache... it’s not that bad but in my mind it could be. So with the laser treatment and being natural and exercise I feel good and look “natural”. I never could carry my babies full term and almost bleed to death my last miscarriage, it was then I was diagnosed with PSOC. Even though it’s been hard God still blessed me, my hair grew back and I became a mom anyway. It’s been hard losing weight and I have to consume less calories than the average person and exercise 5 days a week but it has helped me and it’s better than me being in the hospital from heavy non stop bleeding and crazy weight gain.
Thank you for this video. I appreciate the fact of knowing I’m not alone...this journey of PCOS and all its resulting symptoms has been overwhelming, depressing, lonely and the like. I have a wonderful husband who does his best to be here and be supportive but there is nothing like another woman who has experienced the exact same thing ❤️. Thank you truly
Honestly, most of us had flourishing hair as kids. If we go back to what our mothers used such as Blue Magic...our hair will grow. I went back to blue magic a year ago and never looked back!
Its BECAUSE we were kids. Our mothers couldve used just about anything and still woulve gotten the same results. Metabolism is faster, cell turnover happens quicker, hair & nails grow faster and blemishes/cuts heal quicker when you're younger. All of that slows down as you get older. Not to say that oils and grease dont work, but naturally our hair just doesnt grow as quick, and our growth period( where the follicle doesnt shed) is much shorter
I agree with that. We were younger and it worked fine. My hair still responds to it hence why I am speaking about what works for me. If it doesnt work for you, I hope you have a regiment that does.
It's easy to see so many people hiding their hair loss and running from the reality of it. It's really refreshing to get to a space like this where many others are just willing to share their process, and stories, and experiences. Thank you for sharing your own, and for providing a space for many others that want to speak about it too. This sense of community is very valuable.
"LEAVE IT TF ALONE!!"😂😂🤣🤣Aint that the truth!! I've been wearing crochet faux locs for a while getting them redone every 5 weeks and moisturize my hair daily and it grows so good!!Your transparency is wonderful!!
SIS... I MIXED THE TWO OF THOSE WITH SULFUR 8... I SWEAR BY IT... Menopause took me out... Weakened my hair... I appreciate you so much... Will be sharing your evolution with my daughter... Much love 💕
I’m sending you all the love and positive vibes. I have PCOS too. I don’t have hair thinning but my hair would break and break. And I learned the leave it alone method quick lol 😂 now my hair is touching my shoulder and IT HAS NEVER DONE THAT. I also have the excessive weight gain and fertility issues as well. I have heavy periods EVERY SINGLE DAY if I don’t take birth control. I just bled and have clots the size of my hand. Just hearing you talk about cutting it over and over just makes me tear up because I remember all the time I tried over and over to stop my periods. But thank you for sharing your story. Prayers to you and your family
I tried the Apple cider vinegar for a 6 months and it did nothing. I’ve got it under control now though. I just have to take birth control until I’m ready to try for kids.
Thank you so much! i'm 26 and have dealing with PCOS hair loss for the last year. Mostly on my sides and crown, but it was all over girl. I see some growth and loss every wash day and have been crochet my life away. You are so right about the "protection" in the protective styles because i definitely wasn't. I appreciate the validation and awareness given in this video for us women.
Thank you for being so open! I suffer from PCOS and have the opposite. I grow hair excessively! 1 week without shaving and I will have a full beard. I’m so happy you found something that works for you. I always noticed things work when I go back to the basics!
Hey Lady! Yes me too except I have that five o'clock shadow. I have to stay having tweezers under my chin and neck daily. The only thing I didn't have was the infertility issue.
PCOS has been an indescribable struggle for me. I've experienced just about every symptom there is. But hair loss has been BY FAR the most painful! I'm sooooo happy for you 😊
Jeezeee!!! I’m so happy I found you….. ❤ I had no clue PCOS could cause hair loss. All of a sudden, a few days ago, I started to lose a lot more hair. I have had the spot for a while, but the breakage… lord….. I’m a bit relieved now. Thank you.
I’m so glad for you, Baby Girl. Our mother used to put that Blue Magic on our scalps when my sisters and I were little. It was life!! I still have some. She used to also tell us to “leave your hair alone” and “just let it breathe.”
❤️❤️❤️ sending love as a woman living with PCOS. PCOS has caused me to have some hair thinning, but I also struggle with the weight gain and the terrible adult acne. Thanks for sharing your journey!
The wight gain is horrible too. I have had more breakouts recently but not as bad as I have seen from others. I can only only the medical profession can get more info on this so we can finally get meds to combat/help us.
Love this!!! I was diagnosed w/ PCOS when my son was 2 and have had so much trouble w/ my edges on my right side that i finally just gave you. So glad i found this video, you give us hope.... PCOS is NOT for the WEAK at ALL....
Kie, you're so right. What did we grow up on....ok and our hair was down our backs. Your middle looks good girl. Thanks for your transparency & believe you have helped a lot of people. You're so beautiful 😍
I was shocked when you said blue magic, I started using it not to long ago and it does make my natural hair look and feel moisturized. Sometimes you just have to go old school 🙂. Thanks for sharing your story.
I can only imagine how difficult and frustrating that must have been. I'm glad you got the answers/treatment you needed and found a method that works for you. Congrats on your progress!
God is still doing wonders I thought I will never get cured again after 17days of using DR RORPOPOR HERBAL medicine on UA-cam I was so excited to hear from my doctor that my PCOS is cured completely 💟
I have been diagnosed with PCOS and I have had the weight gain, weight loss, painful period, no period, struggle alot on the emotional roller coaster. But God is truly amazing I have been doing better these past 7 years. Thank you again for keeping it real. @Kie
I also have PCOS, inflammation of the scalp was causing similar issues with my hair. See a dermatologist that specializes in black hair treatment. This is my second month of treatment and already seeing great results after years of suffering.
May I ask what treatment you are undergoing? I’ve had cortisone infections On my scalp to help the inflammation and medication, but nothing helped long term.
I’ve been diagnosed with inflammation of the scalp as well. I was prescribed triamcinolone .1% and rogaine. I just started a few weeks ago. Too soon to tell if it’s working. What were you prescribed, if you don’t mind sharing?
@@nafeesarockhead1238 the same thing, triamcinolone.. a few years ago. I didn’t take it for long. I hate taking medications. I also used some other topical solutions, but they worked for the time. Eventually, I started having scalp itching and burning again. I need a permanent solution.
So....I was diagnosed with PCOS and my family doctor told me I had eczema on my scalp around the same time. None of the medications that were prescribed to me worked and I eventually had to do the big chop twice. After watching this video I am wondering if my scalp being inflamed is due to my PCOS. 🤔🤔 It’s been over a year now since my last chop and I only have 3 inches of hair growth. I tried everything too but I got lazy one day and decided to “blue magic” my hair and I didn’t comb it for a whole month. That gave me 1 inch of new growth
@@amysmall9066 they say this blue magic is the truth. At the root tho you're allergic to something. For me it was polyester and salicylate. Changed all my clothes, replaced my hats, and bedding to 100% cotton. And with the salicylate I avoid those foods if I can, if I can't I take a benadryl before. I've been eating apples my whole life and every time I choked just thinking that it was just too sour but nope it was a reaction, that vinegars including ACV and tomato sauce were the culprits. I find that everyone with hormone responses to food are people who love seasonings. Bland food has my hair growing back
God bless you for opening up about full hair loss journey. So many women deal with hair loss and suffer in silence. You are such a blessing to them all.
This was a great video. It’s hard to open up especially on the internet about something very personal to you. However, this was very informative. Honestly I’m proud to be apart of what you call the “Leave it TF Alone” tribe! It really does wonders. Especially not washing it so frequently. My hair loves dirt lol. Thank you so much for sharing your story. I know it’s going to help so many people. Much success on your hair journey. 🙏🏾💜💜
Yes!! Dirty hair works wonders for me. Thank you so much for watching sis. I really am appreciative of the support and hope it helps others in any way possible.
This PCOS thing is definitely a journey! I was diagnosed last year. For YEARS I couldn't understand why my crown was falling out. I doubt it will ever grow back, but I'm now on medication to regulate it, and hopefully maintain the hair I still have.
I watched this 3 months ago and restarted hair grease after watching. It has helped so so so much. Thanks for sharing your journey with us and u are a lifesaver 🤗
I have been natural my entire life. I'm not knocking NOBODY. But I've only had positive experiences with petroleum based products.🤷🏿 I know it's not popular in these UA-cam natural hair streets... But it's my truth. I like indian hemp peoducts, and they have a petroleum base.
Well Kie. You have not steered me wrong yet. I have been diagnosed with scarring alopecia most recently. I too have lost my crown. U have had hair transplants, injections for 20 years and much more. Perhaps it is time to go back to the tried and true. Thank you, Kie. For sharing your story. 💜💜💜 Continue to shine QUEEN.
@@KieRaShon Yes, it actually did work as long as I continued to get the shots every 6-8 weeks and used Minoxidil. They told me there was nothing else they could do for me and I should nit come back unless I started experiencing inflammation. It was down hill from there. The transplants lasted about 7-8 years. I know it would have lasted longer. I went to Valerie Callender in Mitchellville.
@@KieRaShon I would have kept going until the senior citizen van had to take me. I really didn't care about money. That is why they have FSA I used it faithfully..😜 I want to try PRP but can't get anyone to do it. 💜💜
I was having breakage at my crown too and heard someone mention circulation. I started inverting myself and the breakage stopped! I agree with you about grease too. I started using sulfur8 and it works wonders! Thanks for sharing your journey.
Hey tfs! How long do you do the inversion method at a time? I had an opportunity to buy an inversion table for cheap and never did. Now I'm pissed that I didnt. Lol
@@tazmaniandiva7762 those tables are life and are good for your neck and back! We spend our whole lives upright. It relieves the pressure. I invert myself twice daily for about two minutes each time. I’ve heard the “experts” say it should be done for four minutes for maximum blood flow to the follicle but I get bored easily lol o try to massage my neck and scalp while inverted to help the flow of blood and I breathe deeply to help oxygenate the blood. I’m no pro but it has helped. XO
I discovered you, as a result of a review you did on a human hair headband wig. I find your sense of humor a feel good experience 😂. I discovered this video, afterwards, my hat is off to you for your bravery. When we women loose hair, it can be quite devastating. I am 69, and when I started menopause my hair in my crown and temple areas became less dense. Again, I love your sense of humor.
I loved when you said all I had to use was “GREASE” lol 😝 it’s crazy how the simplest thing worked. I suffer from alopecia it comes and goes and the first time I left it alone and basically said to hell with all this..... it’s started growing back so thick and fast . My hair is stress/hormone induced so when you said “LEAVE IT TF ALONE” I felt that!!☝🏾😂
I swear it's like something is up with this I notice alot of our young ppl 24- 40 (including myself) is going bald at a young age and it's not normal. I feel like our hair is being attack because our hair is our antenna to connect us to the cosmos to get get downloads but we're disconnected so our hair is falling out on the deep note. But I thank you for sharing this is truly helpful. Thank you
A lot of hair products that are targeted for “black hair” are not owned by us. And these people have no real care for our tresses. They just want our money. The ingredients that are in some of these products literally cause cancer, hair loss, brain damage, tumors etc. Its a form of chemical warfare on our community and our hair is suffering because of it That’s why product knowledge is power. Know what you’re putting on your scalp because it is being absorbed into the rest of your body

Finally somewhere I fit in! PCOS in 2008…been struggling with my hair since. Depressed, overwhelmed, embarrassed, let down….all the emotions! Glad I’ve found women who can relate. Thank you for your transparency!
Jenifer… may I suggest you check out Dr. Eric Berg’s UA-cam channel; he addresses PCOS thru diet.
You're not alone. 🖐️
I’m suffering with this as well
Same!!
Me too.
Saw palmetto supplement is a DHT blocker that helps women with male pattern baldness caused by high levels of androgen in women with PCOS. The saw palmetto will also help with facial hair problems. Thank you for sharing your story with us❤ Best of luck on your journey!
How do
You know this ?
What she said is true. I've done the research. You can research it, too. Check out the ingredients in Rogaine. Minoxidil is the "female" version of Rogaine. Rosemary is a key ingredient in both of them. You can also verify that the vitamins she recommended can aid in healthy scalp and hair growth. And, yes, saw palmetto IS a DHT blocker. KUDOs to the reader who mentioned all that good information.
With that being said, how long did it take to see results?
Hi,
Should I use Rosemary Essential oil?
Should I diffuse it with another oil?
It was called Steinleventhrol syndrome. I was diagnosed back when I was 17 and name was changed when I was in my 20s
This is my story exactly.. Pcos sucks 😕
def agree! thank you for sharing your journey. it really is becoming more of community now that people know about it.
What helped me with the horrible pcos symptoms are reg exercise, eating no more than 10% gluten diet, eating green vegetables with each meal and drinking atleast 6 cups of water/day.
@@msshaw780 exercise definitely is key. We have to keep our weight down

What type of test is needed? Blood tests?
I fully understand how hair loss affects a woman's spirit and I appreciate you sharing this journey with us. thanks

@@Savantskd I suffer from hair loss because of pcos ..thinking of getting a wig pcos is the biggest curse a woman can have :(
The reason why I wear wigs is because I’ve lost around 60% of my hair. I’m 27 and started losing my hair when I was 15. At this point I don’t worry too much about it, but I’m always open to try new things, especially if they are natural.
I’m glad you found something that works for you! And you look as beautiful as ever ❤️

God bless!
What did you and your husband do differently that made a significant change for you guys

That part! Grease is bae 😍

May The Most High God continue to bless your head of hair. Amen!
This is everything! So happy for yoy. I honestly need to get my nutrition under control as well. This def plays a factor for PCOS

Bless your journey said sis. I hope the regiment you find for you is a blessing to your scalp 🥰
I feel every piece of what you said. It takes a ton of discipline to control PCOS
thank you for being open and honest. I can't remember the last time I felt like listening to the someone talk this much.
Oh wow, thank you 🙌🏾🙌🏾🤎
GIRRRRL,THANK YOU FOR YOUR HONESTY!
Very true!! And we wore rubber bands with no breakage. Idk what happened lol
Truth, My mom use to use the light indian hemp, need to get back to that
And this is why i swear by blue magic i mix it with glover mane ..... I’m old school
The beauty of your face just flourishes and glows when you cut off your hair. Stunning!

Bland food has my hair growing back
I'm so happy you gave that disclaimer in the beginning. I can’t stand the know-it-all on UA-cam.

I have been natural my entire life. I'm not knocking NOBODY. But I've only had positive experiences with petroleum based products.🤷🏿 I know it's not popular in these UA-cam natural hair streets... But it's my truth. I like indian hemp peoducts, and they have a petroleum base.
I just wanna say from this video your personality is gold 🥰
Thanks for sharing your personal PCOS Journey. I suffer from PCOS also you made me feel better about my hair. ❤️❤️❤️. Thanks is not enough blessings
I always wondered about the transplant. Did it not help? That sounds emotionally draining. I hope the back to basics helps sis 🤎
Oh wow! That is unfortunate. So not really a fix since you have to keep going for the costly treatment to keep it up. .
@@KieRaShon I would have kept going until the senior citizen van had to take me. I really didn't care about money. That is why they have FSA I used it faithfully..😜 I want to try PRP but can't get anyone to do it. 💜💜
@@tamdivas8257 ohhhhh true lol. Wait PRP like Lasik?

Man mines toooo my spot was small like 2years ago but now the middle of my head spot is getting bigger 😞
I love that you talk fast!
Old school stuff definitely still works.. thanks for sharing
Sorry that your struggling. Got sooo much hair in the sink, in the floor, everywhere. Male- pattern baldness. Runs in my family. Appreciate you!!
Lol
Thanks love! I have never heard of that but I assume it helps blood circulation to follicles.
XO
@@saundra282 Thank you so much for responding. I'm going to be on the lookout for another table. My scalp, neck and back need it. Thanks again!💕
@@tazmaniandiva7762 you are most welcome.
My hair is stress/hormone induced so when you said “LEAVE IT TF ALONE” I felt that!!☝🏾😂
Yes, Queen. Love your honesty. You're helping so many of us out here in dese hair journey streets!!
thanks beauty!
Thank you
Birth control
A lot of hair products that are targeted for “black hair” are not owned by us. And these people have no real care for our tresses. They just want our money. The ingredients that are in some of these products literally cause cancer, hair loss, brain damage, tumors etc. Its a form of chemical warfare on our community and our hair is suffering because of it
That’s why product knowledge is power. Know what you’re putting on your scalp because it is being absorbed into the rest of your body
@@MrArtVein helps ? Cause I just started taking some regularly
