Good to see you putting a lot into these reviews. These really take me back. I know the first ones get bandied about a lot, but for me they didn't start getting iconic until Starship Traveler and Deathtrap Dungeon. House of Hell? Freeway Fighter? Battleblade Warrior? Creature of Havoc? That one with Voltron punching out a Godzilla??? Bring it on!
@brandonbutler7204 Thanks for the comment, agreed the early ones set the standard but I think each and everyone holds something special. I shall get to the later ones eventually so look out for Robot Commando (Voltron punching out Godzilla)
Really enjoyed Citadel of Chaos, was one of my faves. I thought I was a total badass having completed Warlock on my first attempt, then reality kicked in and I came crashing back down to ‘Craggen Rock’ as it took me several goes before I got past those dreaded Ganges. Finished it though eventually after obtaining Ganges proof sunscreen or something if I remember - incorrectly on purpose, so as not to give away any spoilers. I had the original cover with the furry monster. It’s probably been 40 years since I’ve played it. These reviews are excellent. I’m going through them slowly. Thanks for your efforts.
@Prof.CliffDavenport. Thanks for your kind words and it's high time you dust off that furry monster cover! Those pesky Ganges. Next review coming soon, regards
Nice to see another video. I always liked this one for the interesting baddies - not the usual orcs and goblins. It annoyed me a bit that if you chose the wrong spells you could die but it didn't take many goes to work out the best ones. And you're right, that original cover looks like a teddy bear 😆
I really like The Citadel of Chaos but can't help but think that it was a trial run for Steve Jackson, already working at the time on the Sorcery saga! Thanks.

@yeoman4850 Cheers for the comment, yeah lots of variety in encountrs is always a good thing and Jackson does it best.

@FrançoisFischer Yes fully agree, you can see the groundwork here for what would become the Sorcery epic!
