"Cheapy Amazon sparkplugs." Unfortunately, often true. They are starting to move production of stuff like generators from China to Vietnam, where a lot of top communist government officials were recently arrested for corruption.
That 4000 watts is a lot for a 208 cc engine. The generator windings must be all copper instead of cheaper aluminum.
That welding reminded me of the YT video where the fellow bought the cheapest MIG welder he could find on Amazon, thinking it was a piece of Chinese junk that would burn up in a few minutes. It was smaller than a loaf of bread. Was he ever wrong. The tiny thing could weld thick steel plate. There are a lot of smart electrical engineers in a population of 1.4 billion people. It could even do TIG welding.
They always put those drain plugs in crazy tight at the factory. Too tight could crack that casting. Then it is goodbye engine.
I've never seen a generator with that many receptacles.

Great video Tom. You should check with DJI they make drones but also makes really good cameras. I know several people who has DJI CAMERAS AND THEY LOVE THEM. I THINK ITS CALLED OSMO OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. GO TO DJI AND CHECK THEM OUT. THEY HAVE THE BEST DRONES ON THE MARKET TOO BY FAR. ITS A REALLY GOOD COMPANY

Toooom Doooobyyyy!! Hey, Tom! Good video, man! I have an old Coleman camp generator. Got it from my cousin. It barely ran. But, it DID save my bacon once when we lost power. Had to run it on choke, but it lasted long enough 'til the power was restored. Hasn't run since. (YEARS!) Have to try to tear it down, but I REALLY have to scrutinze it because I can't even tell where the case splits or screws together with the rest of the unit. Anyway, thanks for another great tutorial! Have an awesome day! God bless.

Let me start by saying I know nothing about welding except how to ask a lot of questions. Could you put your ground clamp on the vise and that work or is that too much resistance between the clamp and the bracket
