Dude I have one of these it's got a 110 head on it my oldest cousin Daryl owned it and I have very fond memories of riding on the back of it in him taking me to the roller rink Ione it now and would love to know where to get parts to rebuild the engine carburetor wiring harness do it right✌??
I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the title to this video! As a kid in the 70s, I put a zillion(give or take a few) miles on a 1977 RV 90 that my grandfather had on his farm in rural Mississippi. My dad had encouraged him to buy one so he could run around the fields to check on fish ponds, cattle, etc. We visited my grandparents usually twice a year and I can’t begin to tell you how much it meant to me to be able to get up and ride this “beast” for hours on end. I thought I was Brad Lackey jumping those field terraces and climbing pond dams. I even had a 3/8 mile track in the field next to their farmhouse on which I logged countless laps. Good times indeed. Thanks a million for highlighting this unique little “cattle bike” as we called it for it gave this ole Alabama boy literally hours and hours of pure fun and enjoyment. Awesome work Kaplan and crew!
Man I just love the whole vibe of this bike. I'm usually more of a matt paint, death metal and quiet guy, but as I get older I seem to like stuff like this more and more. Appreciate all your work dude, cus this channel is the best on the Internet, hands down!
That brings back fond memories of my friends Yamaha RV 125 what a great little bike it was, a right little work horse! They used it on the beach collecting sea coal pulling a car trailer fully loaded. Last one I saw here in the UK was commanding big bucks!! 👍🏍🤙🤙🤙
I think I have maxed out my credit card 18 times by now, lol. I like the colour too usually it doesn't look good on larger bikes but mini bikes look awesome in loud colours.
I remember my dad got me my first bike to learn how to ride on it was 1974 or 1975 Yamaha 80. I was 7 years old in 1989 the bike was like new it had headlight break lights turn signals on it he took everything off but the headlight & that was my dirt bike I learned to ride on that' bike could take a licking & keep on ticking it was built tuff & when I turned 10 I started to ride the RM250
It has iverted forks just like the trail 70's from 50 years ago so they have been using upside down forks for 20 or more years before Honda put them o the 89' CR's. My trail 70's all have upside down forks.
Nice video Ken never herd it called a Van Dan I know it as a Rover 90. 185psi comp. that's bad ass I never check it. Never had to put a wrench on that bike since I built it. Ran great every yr.
i had the RV125 2stroke monkey bike i called it, when the tyres went bald i put car tyres on it a 12" on the back & a 14" on the front, i have one pic of it & the memories, great bike ?
What did it end up selling for? I just got a blue 72 and would love to restore it to perfect running condition. Show paint isn’t a concern because I’d like to trail ride it.
