How does the 120v Outlet work on the a p unit

After only two years of owning this I have pretty much had to rebuild the engine. None of the settings ever work properly. A/c cannot keep up with heat over 90 degrees F and when things break the techs usually try to have you buy new parts instead of figuring why things went bad to begin with, which lead me to learning how to fix most of its issues myself. Parts are crazily overpriced, and their labor rates are criminal.
These things aren’t built for any kind of longevity, so if you are getting one to use any extended amount of time, then I’d recommend another brand (though I’m not sure if any are any good, only have experience with them.)
I only continue to use it because it beats putting wear and tear on my truck (but only by a little.)
Just be ready for things to break quickly. Do your own maintenance, or it’s definitely not worth it.

Heat for the cab is provided be electric heating elements in the Climate Control Unit under the bunk. Electrical power for the heating elements is provided by the A/C generator on the APU. Heat to warm the truck engine comes by sharing the cooling system of the APU.

This unit does have two timers that can be programmed to start the unit at a specified time every day or start and stop at a specified time only on certain days of the week. As of this time there are no wireless controls for this unit available.

too loud. would be nice if there was apu that heated/cooled the inside cabin and heated the engine bay for deep winter.

The 200 INT (Integrated) does heat the engine coolant and can be set to start and warm the engine at a specified ambient temperature as well as two timers that can be set to start the APU and warm the engine or heat or cool the cab at specified times and days of the week.
