i honestly believe that aikido is shioda gozo, he was the only person that mastered the art and made it usable. too bad today's aikido is just a spirit journey and not a fighting style.

ITEOTWAWKI61 i know that but i think Shioda was the last from the roots of aikido, with his "old school " views, he was taught by the founder, not his son or the best student, the best student of the best student etc.)) i think by this way and for now aikido has lost its applications as martial art because Ueshiba taught no one martial art anymore . it's a long story))
Shioda Kancho clearly had a "prewar" style. O sensei radically changed after 1942. Became a lot more fluid and circular, instead of triangular and somewhat "choppy"

it's so sad so see that always in these demonstrations uke not attacking really and the nage in this case the sensei not doing techniques truthfully neither. it's always just show and shall show how powerful aikido is, but if you have tried to use aikido in a real fighting situation and you are old like this you can be easily overwhelmed by a younger guy. nobody who knows about fighting would do a oi-tsuki while literally running 100 meters onto the opponent so he can prepare for the attack. ma-ai doesn't only take effect for aikidoka, but also for everybody else. es ist echt traurig immer wieder dieses gestellte und gefakte aikido in demonstrationen zu sehen, bei denen die uke lediglich ihren sensei schonen und nicht echt angreifen.
@@Mytea1 I think i did, gozo is at this stage a teacher of principles i guess, when you watch the younger generation from his school there is the power of his principles there. this is not 'old man takes on 4 young guys', it is aikido, plain and simple.
@@blooberization no you still didn't get what i meant. in these demonstrations especially in this one the uke are almost hitting past the master not to hit him by accident. cause if they did it would mean shame. that's what's meant by truthfully attacking. it's a basic principle in aikido that the uke always attacks truthfully and honest not "faking" as if he attacked to give the nage the chance to execute his technique truthfully and honest, too. that doesn't have to do anything with strength or aikido being good/bad. plus this man might have been good and strong in the past, but wouldn't be able to fight off 4 ppl at the same time nowadays at his age.

昔、塩田先生の直弟子の方に投げられてから八百長ではないと確信しました、捕まれた瞬間に腰が抜ける感覚でした。
この内の技の２つ習得しました。何の力も入れず、ツボを押さえれば簡単に相手は倒れます。受け身を習得した人でないとケガするので、素人には技をかけられないので、ヤラセの様に見えますが、本当なんです。

若くしてこの体格で講道館三段を取得した事だけでもどれほどの鍛錬をしてきたのか想像を絶します。

塩田先生の演武は何度も観てるけど剣術や棒術を披露してる動画を見るのはこれが初めてです。

多人数掛けに関しては流石に無理がありすぎ。特に剣。弟子がめちゃくちゃ忖度して全く攻撃する気がない。
一人を相手にした際の個別の技術は本物なんだから、無理に多人数掛けなんかしなければいいのに。
遠慮がちの弟子が相手では先生の凄さが伝わらないのが残念です
勝ちに行く他流派の立ち会いで実演した方が勉強になる
今の合気道と違って、塩田さんの合気道は当身しまくりらしいからね。
