I could listen to Richie speak all day. He’s one of the most grounded musicians out there. He is so gifted on the guitar and without him Bon Jovi wasn’t going anywhere.
Sambora was never a part of the guitar God elite because he was the guitar player for Jovi however the truth is he is every bit a talented as the elite and often shows far more class, power and emotion in every solo he thinks up. I have always respected the Sambora!
The think is, if people actually care to dive deeper into Bon Jovi's discography or Richie's solo work, they will find a lot of hidden gem of a guitar playing from Sambora. They are not just mainstream pop rock, they are more than that. These Days and Stranger in this Town still amaze me up to this day.
That's The Real Man, The Real Musician. I Remember World of Music Was Very Quality in 1991. He Was One Of Legends There. The World Of Famous Music since 2001 is TOTAL Junk. I Don't Know Why The Produce Junk Like Adele.
My cousin in the 1980s was a hardcore headbanger and was really into heavy metal like Metallica Megadeth... etc and he was a good metal guitarist. I was a younger kid than him and Bon Jovi was my favorite band, he was about 13... I was about 9 years old 10 years old and I remember he turned to me and he goes Richie Sambora is really good so why the f*** is he playing with Bon Jovi? I had no clue what he meant and I still don't.
@@edgabrielocay3376 He likes Sambora but not the band. I can't blame Richie Sambora for being in Bon Jovi...you can't ask for much bigger success than that..
Hector Doria that’s just an American standard Stratocaster he is using actually. His signature has a traditional 6 screw bridge and small start inlays. At least his early 2000s signature Strats.

Nowadays the only thing speaking is the alcohol he is drinking... So sad
"He's seen a million faces, and rocked them all."🎸
What an extremely talented, engaging, well-spoken, humble, handsome man.
What a player that guy is.. Full of feel, bluesy riff n solos from the heart
I really love richies Emotion in his playing. Im not a big Bon Jovi fan but im a Sambora fan
Same. I can't stand BJ but love Sambora
Same here Jon was nothing without Richie ❤
I put stars on my guitars because of this guy. I started playing because of this guy. Him and ace. Bon jovis ok but sambora is the goat.

Richie Sambora is my favorite guitarist from the 80's-90's period. Guy is a legend.

The ‘Wanted’ lick is what made me want to pick up an electric guitar ❤
I listened to Bon Jovi because of Richie Sambora. But I am still a Bon Jovi fan (with Phil X on guitar) and still am a big fan of Richie Sambora.
1958 very great yr😊 for I was born. You are an amazing player!
I love Richie's plays in Bon Jovi's album called These Days.

He really is an amazing guitar player.

Damn right!
What about your Kramer days Richie? You played them a lot in the 80's too.
Bring back the Kramers
❤
Richie seems to go out of his way to not talk about his Kramers. You know, the ones he played on slippery when wet and new jersey?
Loved those (Kramer) guitars, they're my favourite of all the Richie Sambora signatures also loved the Hamer guitars from back when
Most likely he still had an endorsement deal with Fender at the time of this interview.
Bonjovi #1

(haha) by the sounds of it, your cousin isn't a Jovi fan but likes and thinks Richie Sambora is too good for Bon Jovi... does that help
Your cousin has a poor taste of music that's all

I want a black double neck acoustic like he had in the 80s
The Ovation?
@@mariusgustavus6522 I believe so. Plus I liked Jon's 12 string ovation he had
He is the best. I prefer his Kramer's guitar!

Guitar is weird like that. One day you suck and can barely play power chords, then all of a sudden, you just take off.
What kind of guitar is he holding guys?
Fender Stratocaster.
Think its his Signature Model
@@mariusgustavus6522 thank you.

So talented Musician ever ❤️❤️❤️❤️
8:37 Farts?
If the signature Strat came out 1990,
then what guitar is the one seen in the Prayer and Bad Name videos from 1986?
Its a custom or a Jackson I think. Cause in the 80s he was endorsed by Kramer for a while until he had his signatures 90s Fender guitars.
It was a custom made Jackson with a reverse headstock if I remember correctly
@@flats750 yes that is correct.
