Ayrton Senna was a man of many qualities, he was an icon, a superhero and an outstanding racing driver, without doubt he is one of the greatest of all time and his legacy will never be forgotten R.I.P 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🏎🏎🏎
I miss him alot at random moments he continues with me. Gratitude results. My Messiah. Sempre. As a kid I always said "Senna Forever", and he proved me right! Simply the best. Gratitude helps, but it never gets any easier.
My interest in formula 1 took a massive hit on that terrible day. I didn't watch another race until over ten years later. As with many Senna fans, a significant part of my motorsport soul died that day.
There have only been 5 God-like, true-genius, F1 drivers; Nouvolari, Ascari, Fangio, Clark, and Senna. How great it was to be alive to see Senna drive.
Man! 30 years have passed and it feels like last week. I remember my father telling my mom “do not bother me on sunday! I will watch Mansell beating that yellow crazy helmet ***!” I also remember that sad day. My father felt it hard. On that day he said: never tought Senna could die. RIP Senna! You and Mansell brought a lot of joy to my old man!
30 years since my mum made me go and get milk from the farm as i was loosing my mind wathcing the BBC. Longest walk i ever took. Still cant believe its real.
Ayrton Senna could be one with the car, as if it were part of his body. many drivers did not have this and this was most evident when it was raining and being able to keep a car on the track at such incredible speed is impressive. It's a pity that I only started to look into him after he had long since passed away. Above all, Aryton Senna was a beautiful person who cared deeply about his fans.
It still hurts TBH I loved everything about him He was so much more than a F1 driver His personality and race craft was above any at that level May he rest in peace Hope one day I get to meet him In the other life
Me.too it still hits hard when I let it. It certainly fkd my last year of high school and found it bard giving a fuk ever since to lay it out there. Never anyone's winning drug got me high like being a Senna fan as that teenage gokarter. It is more rare than that I realised as that teenager. It's a powerful gift eternal gratitude. :)
he was the first person I saw died, in front of my eyes, as a kid. and he was my superhero. I am now 10 years older than you ever was. I still miss you, I still hold you as a superhero.
Gratitude helps, I know, it never gets any easier...and to be fair, I refuse to ever let this wound heal. Sometimes I am not sure the wound has even started to heal. Gratitude brother, he was the best idol a kid could ever have. Senna forever I said as a 13 year old. Was 18 when we lost him and he proved me right. Eternal gratitude. I poke the wound when I need a hit, "Winning is like a drug" - the Messiah
Prost is very much underrated, because of his rivalry with Senna and being portrayed as 'the enemy' of the latter. However, had all results counted in 1988, not Senna, but Prost, who's two retirements came from mechanical issues, rather than driver error, would have won the championship. In 1989, Senna received special treatment from Honda, yet Prost still beat him. And in 1990, Senna punted him off in Suzuka, in a move that would see Schumacher disqualified 7 years later in similar circumstances. Using today's point system, Prost beat each and every one of his teammates, which included past and future world champions and race winners.

If he would have lived he surely should have driven for ferrari and no doubt No1 F1 driver of all time..till date..and many more record and pole positions... God bless his soul...the greatest and best F1 driver of all time
I was never a senna fan until he went to Williams, the reason why, I was a big mansell fan, when senna went to Williams I wanted him to win, because that was my team, it was never meant to be, I respected him massively, he was a very good driver and human being ❤
@ 11:11 Correction, the crash at Estoril Portugal 1989 was 100% Mansell's fault - firstly he was repeatedly ignoring the black flag (which means "you are disqualified for a professional foul - you must pull out now") and secondly even if he had been entitled to be there it was a failed pass attempt - nowhere near alongside (front wheel to rear wheel contact). It was almost identical to the Suzuka Japan contact where Senna ran into Prost just as Mansell ran into Senna here. Japan 1990 was certainly Senna's fault, but Portugal 1989 was certainly NOT Senna's fault. The commentator also forgot to mention that in 1989 Senna won the most races (6), was wrongfully disqualified after winning a 7th GP (Japan) and lost 5 more near certain wins when struck by an incredible run of bad luck - retiring with mechanical failure whilst leading in all 5 - with reliable cars as became avaialble in the 2000s Senna would have won 12 of 16 in 1989 - Prost was rarely actually a match for him for race pace on the track.
Dear F1.. for one race surely you can build the same car. for everyone on the grid and race at spa or silver stone anywhere you can over take. a Williams a McLaren Ferrari and F1 car omg it would be something else
It's impressive that a car that was a champion in previous years had so many problems. Maybe they intentionally sabotaged his car to cause harm and the worst happened.
If senna lived and drove for another 6 years, based on who he was driving for, and who he would probably have driven for, he would have won all the world championships up to 2000. So he should be on 9 world titles, Schumacher on 5, no Hill, Villeneuve, and Hakkinen. Arguably, Ferrari would have hired him instead of Schumacher too for Senna's last years in the sport. He might have 11 titles. Senna dying allowed no less than 4 other drivers to become champions. He would have beaten them because he was beating them and they would have been second driver to him in the same team.
As soon as I heard Murray Walker, I stopped watching. Unfortunately many people listen to Murray's opinion on the greatest drivers debate but he does not give objective opinion. He should be objective or don't say anything. He picks Prost over Senna because Prost was nicer to him, he said it himself. He hated Schumacher after the 94 Australian GP where he thought Schumacher robbed Hill of the championship. After Schumacher came to one of his birthday parties, all of a sudden, Schumacher is the greatest driver. He should have kept his personal feelings separate from a professional one. Had Hill bough him a box of chocolates then Hill would have been the greatest driver of all time for him.
Had you been alive when Senna raced and lived, you would realise how absolutely spastik your comment is. Go play with your Lego. Far out. Dafuq this kid?!
@@paulanthonynelson2733 The only people who would know why Senna was faster are the ones who actually saw all the races back then. I lived in Chicago and went to all Detroit GP since 1983. Here is one thing you will never find on the internet. Senna and Lauda were the only drivers who came down to the basement of Renaissance Center to work with the engineers every night. All the cars were taken to there each night as they didn't have garages. The cars were roped off but you can talk to the drivers, though Senna wouldn't talk to many people other than to say hi. Lauda was more friendly. Since all the 88/89 races are available, go watch all the races end to end and tell me who is the faster driver. Not just qualifying but the races.
@robertwhitten265 that's 88/89 and so what. OK sorry for thinking you might be Lego aged. I'm missing the Niki connection here but he would love said no less.

As an English man, Mansell wasn't fit to lace Senna's boots. He was a lazy opportunist.
