So Alone by Johnny Thunders ⛈️ is an amazing album with awesome guest players. Produced quite well by a young Steve Lillywhite & featuring You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory a song Bob Dylan played regularly on his show & often said he wish he had written. 😎
Hi Mike - Nice callout on the 10 cds for a penny. I know that Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Greatest Hits was one of mine. I wonder if BMG or Columbia House did that for records back in the day?
Canada had a famous record chain store called "Sam The Record Man" with its once world famous iconic store in downtown Toronto with the famous colourful flashing CD's neon sign. an icon to a generation of Canadians who grew up in the 80's and 90's watching Much Music TV. Sadly in the 2000's "Sam The Record Man folded with the rise of the internet and downloading.
On the Whatnot jazz auction you have "Candy" mislabeled as Grant Green instead of Lee Morgan. I did a huge double take - "What, a Grant Green album I've never heard?!?!?!"
Christ, The Wonder Stuff is a name I haven’t seen in about 30 years. Was at a festival in Ireland and got the set times wrong. Thought I was going to see them but Van Morrison came on. Immediate response was ‘oh fuck, not this old bastard’. He was about the age I am now. Of course he was amazing.
Yes. Folks didn’t like checking in every day. I’m going to try one large drop this Monday and see how it goes. I think I can get a larger amount on doing it this way.
It's strange to me that a group that is as "sound conscious" as "Chicago" is would have their music on "picture disc"! You have a cool beard 😎 , unfortunately my girlfriend won't let me grow one! She likes "clean shaven" men!
@@fleercarll2317 That's exactly what I did and I'm enjoying what I've accumulated over the past 10 years and not paying attention to what I don't have or can't get. Great advice.
@@SPAZZOID100 Not the point. The record industry stuffed their pockets in 21 now the greed is catching up as its down to 4% in 22. He'll the musicians don't make any money. I did buy one of those records but that's the only and last. Better get your pricing together or I don't think you will survive. I get the people that have the bucks to spare but probably half don't even own a turntable. Jeez, what a mess the record industry has created. The only reason I watch some of these infomercials to see how ridiculous it is. To Each His Own just sayin.. Ha and good luck.
Above ground, coffee, new arrivals and super awesome Michael. Life is great! Have a wonderful day everybody
I was in Paris in September and picked up that Sam Records Chet Baker and Nathan Davis “Peace Treaty”. Both fantastic !

"Steelyspan". Hahahahaa!!! Love ya man.
Kudos to whoever is playing Gaz Coombes! He’s awesome, and his former group Supergrass is fantastic.
Mike Esposito..saving jazz ONE. RECORD. AT. A. TIME.
Hello Mike, can you do a vinyl shootout comparison video of King Crimson's In the court of the crimson king?
Hi Mike - Nice callout on the 10 cds for a penny. I know that Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Greatest Hits was one of mine. I wonder if BMG or Columbia House did that for records back in the day?
Yes they did along with Records Tapes Unlimited. That was fun!
Mike, did you say in a past video that the Verve by Request series will be all analog?

Anyone unsure, just get any Sam records you can, they really are absolutely stunning.

Is that new that the Gold Member Preowned section will only be updated on Monday as opposed to everyday like it originally was?

Alex Dickie is #1
A lot of these are sold out on the website, is the website accurate?
Yes.
👎👎for the ad fest
you aren't kidding.
For the auction when you say alphabetically, is it by first name or last name? I know most records stores file artist by last name. Just checking.
How it appears on whatnot in the store.
@@TheInGroove Thanks 👍
Kiss Me was a jam tho in hindsight haha
Hi Mike, I like to buy some records from you. Do you ship to UK?
Yes. Because of VAT the order needs to be over $195.
@@TheInGroove Plus customs duty here in UK ☹️
Love your store Mike, but you don’t need to make the douchey faces in the thumbnails LOL
Looks like the vinyl buying is picking up again. Everything sold out already.
You made a mistake and said "Horace Silver, instead of Horace Parlan Quintet - Speakin' My Piece.......?!?
Oh jeez

Moving away from vinyl collecting, getting to be a very expensive hobby for me. Lots of price gauging. Turns me off
Sometimes it's good to stop reading about it and take the time to appreciate all you've accumulated.

You should just be more selective in terms of what you buy because since vynal is making a comeback I wouldn’t expect things to
change any time soon.
Vinyl is VERY expensive to manufacture.
