the artist on "It All Comes Down to Mood" is Patrick Leonard. He produced "Amused to Death" for Roger Waters, two of the final three Leonard Cohen albums, all of Madonna's early records, and records by Pink Floyd, Bryan Ferry, Elton John etc. It's a prog rock extravaganza. if you liked "Amused to Death" or PF, you'll love this record...
I love buying from you because of how you package and your selection, but it takes damn near a month to get it! I think I would get it quicker living in another country. My package according to tracking has moved from the Post office in 7 days.
Zia is awesome for the variety you can find around the Valley. But TIG is another level for clean and audiophile stuff. I never worry when I take a used LP out of TIG that it's gonna be a stinker (sound wise)
I was lucky enough to receive that Stones Licked Live in NYC from the In Groove back when you did that mystery buy, I definitely got more than my $$ worth.
Also you forgot to mention Rhino is now selling Unnumbered versions of Black Sabbath self titled High Fidelity series. Hopefully they'll make these available to independent records stores just like the other ones.
Are you going to be restocking the Duke Ellington “Far East Suite,” Mike? I know it wasn’t among this week’s new releases, but I’m disappointed it sold out so fast! Thanks for these videos. Fun stuff. Just ordered the Muffs 2LP from you guys. Cheers.
May I suggest that technology has come a long way since the days of writing it on paper. Alex can easily cut and paste to one list and send it to your phone or a IPad so that you can actually read it 🤔, just a suggestion.
@@dimebagdave77 Very nice :) I have my eyes on Bill Charlap Trio. It is a live album from Blue Note. I am not big into live albums. But ii is so slow and beautiful. I would like to have it. Good talk :) Have a great day
Hey, show the promos up close! I have no idea what that first album is. But this is indeed a great store. My wife and I went there for the first time about a month ago. Fricking vinyl candy store! At first I thought the prices may be a bit high - I was wrong. I've since shopped at two records stores in the Detroit area and prices are the same as In Groove. HOWEVER, here's what those other stores don't give you. 'In Groove' cleans the albums completely. My wife accidentally wandered into their warehouse and saw the 'wall of machines' doing their things. And every album I checked out was pristine. In Groove then puts the cleaned ablums into new static free inner sleeves, puts the original sleeve into the album cover for you, then places the vinyl in the inner sleeve outside the back of the cover, THEN puts the entire thing into a heavy sealable clear plastic outer sleeve. All this stuff is easily worth another $3.00 to $4.00 per record. But the prices are like other stores. I'm going back soon. Oh yeah, they also have superb stereo equipment. Don't know of any other store like that.
Best thing Mike said in the whole video… “unfortunately not much jazz to show you…”. 😂. Too bad it wasn’t True! LA Woman is in no way the greatest rock album of all time. It’s not even the greatest Doors album, lol. More unnecessary UHQR than another Steely Dan would be. Yeah… let’s throw down $125 for a record that we could spend $60 for a better sounding pressing of… I don’t think so.
I come for the new releases, I stay for the mispronunciations
Lol!
😂😂😂

Always enjoy your videos Mike, and also your great sense of humour :)
Monk's middle name is Sphere. Every jazz fan knows that.
Gotta visit sometime! I was in Zia just last weekend and can’t believe I didn’t check this place out.
The best record store in the valley.

That’s old news, that was covered a few weeks ago
New arrival starts 7:11
😂 Perfect! I always start hitting the fast fwd button right away… and then between every record from that point on, lol

Yes. It should be on our next order. Put in a restock notification from the item page.

First? Northern New Jersey loves you :)
Metal Health hit the #1 spot with a cover of the 70s group , The Slade. Kind of humorous.
Also Alice In Chains Black Gives Way to Blue which I was really excited to see being reissued 😎🤘
I guess I'm gonna pre-order Soul Moussakka, kind of getting hungry.
😂😂
Can I interest you in some Baklava Sabbath?
Love to cop that Monk on blue vinyl
I thought for sure you were going to say some jazz album as your all time favorite
Metal Health is the first hit hair band album.
Mike, Elvis Memphis is not complete. There are tracks left off from both the American Sound and Stax sessions.
Ilike to ask if you have Ian dury mahavisnu orchestra and black magic.rites
Gonna be in Phoenix sep 15/16. I’m just speaking out loud
I love how mikes explanation of the acoustic sounds 33 LA Woman isn’t the biggest controversy ever
Refreshing tbh
Soul sister!
Witch is the first lp? Anderson levin & co?
Rather listen to Hey, Soul Sister as a metal or jazz cover if anything 😆
The Jack White No Name is a banger! One of his best to date.
thanks for the info, I've been wanting to dive deeper but I just don't know where to start
At 23:14. At 24:40. I’m dying laughing…..
Lol! Africa Bambatta , its pronounced like "A-Freaka"
😂 No it’s not lmao
Mornin' and many thanks for the update Mike✌️

Not into Jazz at all 😂.
Booo
I agree about LA Woman. It's a good but not great album
You're not going to buy the UHQR?! Ooh Noooo!! Probably only sell 4,499 of them now.
Obviously Other Voices is the greatest Doors album.
All this boring rock stuff, give us more jazz.
😂
He just never shows any jazz.
Train... music for people who don't really care about music
Like music for people who resent music.
Mike you have lost alot of weight! Can I get 10 percent off? LOL JK
All those double 45s are making us work out a lot...
