I really liked this visit. I only had a couple hrs. So I walked up from the port as my friends got food on Las Ramblas I took a train to La Segrada. Saw the Christopher Columbus statue. So now I want to see other area. I will watch the video of LA Segrada and the gothic area. They sound great. I'm almost fully vaccinated.so I can travel from USA
Woot Woot! A couple of hours is never enough in Barcelona. There are a few videos of even more videos if you want to check those out as well! As you know, Barcelona has so many different districts.
@@PatrickGuideBarcelonathanks. Ps my sons girlfriend is from Tenerife but the have been in Australia since the pandemic happened. We all hope to meet up in Barcelona one of these days.
@@DiGeraghty That would be really nice! My mom is really hoping to make it out to Barcelona this summer too. Fingers crossed they let her. Have you ever been to Tenerife?
@@PatrickGuideBarcelona no, I haven't been to Tenerife. I follow cycling and last Sunday the Volta y Catalunya ended in Barcelona. I got to see the outskirts of the city. Chris Froome did a vlog from training camp on Tenerife. They walked up to the top of the volcano after the cable car.. Super cool view. My cruise last year gave me a taste of Spain (Vigo) France and Italy.
Cycling is really big over here. A lot of people are cyclers with all the hills around Catalonia. Girona has a really big cycling seen, partly because it's so close to France, a very interesting history surrounding it all too! I'll have to see if I can find that Froome vlog too. I have to admit, I still need to get to Tenerife as well... Thanks for joining in on the LIVE stream today!
I will stay there in a hotel in this neighborhood. Going on Friday. I also saw a Vice documentary about drug squatters in that area. Hope it isn't too dangerous.
I am a student, and I will be living in a student resident in El Raval. I was wondering if it's safe to be there outside on your own? And do you have any tips before I visit Barcelona, El Raval? Because I got really scared about all the dangerous stories I saw online.
Hey Nicole, yeah you're gonna see lots of different things about it online. It kind still hold this bad rep. You can be outside on your own, yes, but you should be careful
@@peacefulterror-l9n Hi! In my opinion, it was not that bad at all! I actually kind of liked it...I was even walking alone on the streets of El Raval at 3 m, 4am, 5am and 6am in the morning/middle of the night and luckily nothing happened and it still felt okay. During the day it is even better because there are lots of tourists in El Raval as well. But a point, in general, is that throughout the whole of Barcelona, you should be careful for your stuff because there are a lot of pickpocket thieves through the whole city. But overall I stayed there 3 months and everything was great so please do not worry and enjoy your trip to Barcelona! :)
Doesn’t seem the nicest neighborhood, love the smaller streets , i will sleep at placa de sant agusti ; think best go from there into gotic district? Or first see palau guel ?
@@PatrickGuideBarcelona and then from there ( i have just one afternoon ( 11- 16/17 ) then i fly back at 20 ) wanna do it with ease , next week ( will the city be open on Tuesday or is the season like not open yet , do you know a typical good spanish restaurant for Monday evening “ local “
Thanks! It showed me that I don’t have much to see in this section.
Nice but I wish you would have done a night time version of this. That's how you get the flavor of a place
There’s always time
Woot woot! This man is unstoppable!
Ready to explore the Gothic Quarter on Saturday!
It’s weird seeing Raval during the day. I mean, it’s a lot less sketchy.
Different vibes for sure
Patrick I like you’re videos bro probably next year am going to Barcelona Spain and Camp Nou again
Thank you! Let me know if you do make it out next year and if I can help you out with anything!
Great video!
Thanks!
