It's an old English tune but it became well known by Simon & Garfunkel in the seventies and later used in the motion picture "The Graduate". Per-Olov Kindgren
I understand that some people don't like classical music. Seriously though who rated this down? And 39 times at that. Those people must have absolutely no appreciation for real music. This was beautifully played.
Even if it's 8 years too late but I am very sorry for your loss and this song was probably the most beautiful song that could have been played at his funeral. I hope he rests in peace
Sir, another wonderfully warm & dynamic composition. We purchased this piece years ago. Playing it"s haunting melody projects the mind to distance era's... Thanx!
I am an amateur guitarist in Japan. This was posted 15 years ago, but it remains the most wonderful arrangement I have ever heard of. The melancholy sound of this piece is my favorite. I would like to practice it myself. Thank you for your great performance !
heard this version 7 years ago and i always come back too it. its so beautiful and just down right amazing and passionate that i always have chills run down my spine.. simply a masterpiece
Tons of talent ...plus....tons of feelings = Masterpiece. I could walk around this street fair...in pure piece ! Thanks for sharing your talent ...i can listen to it all day long !
Greetings ,Per-Olov...your hauntingly transcendental performance of this version always gives me chills...yes this badass lead guitar player gets all feely when i hear you play...wish i would have spent th time learning this style....you are gifted friend
I bought the tabs for this almost a decade ago because that intro is just so beautiful. It's always been literally my favorite video on the internet and I've probably watched it a hundred times over the years. I never thought I'd be able to play it, it's just been sitting in the back of my mind for many years. A couple months ago I rediscovered the tabs I purchased long ago on an old hard drive and decided to buckle down and learn it. Got the first verse pretty well down! Can't play it anywhere near as beautifully (the vibrato I have a lot of difficulty with) but it's become my favorite song to play. Just such a magical arrangement.
first ran across this video and listened to your beautiful guitar playing when my mom played this for me when I was about 6 years old. Today, I'm 20 and still listen to this cover whenever i study, work, relax, etc. Much love, Per-Olov!
Masterpiece. I was a student in Japan when I bought notation of this piece from you website, and 15 years have passed since then and today I am confident I can say that I can perform it as you do. Many thanks...
When I first started playing the guitar, my tutor would endless try to incorporate classical playing in my lessons, but I always refused. I just wanted to learn what I liked at the time. What an idiot I was...
Oh my god I am literally crying this was absolutely heart wrenching!!! And just When I thought I had learned this song pretty well. I hear this Beautiful interpretation Oh my god 🙈🙈🙈
Wow. I've been listening to all the UA-cam versions of Scarborough Fair, all morning, and this is by far the most beautifully played and the best arranged, of all those I've heard so far. I love the reverberation; this tune calls for it I think. I've been playing it on an acoustic guitar, strung with silk & steel strings, patched into a Roland JC-120! It sounds good to me! /// Anyway, post more and more - it's great stuff.
This is such a hauntingly beautiful, serene, melodic tune. Thank you for sharing your amazing gift with us. Yes, I too, could listen to it all day. :).
Beautiful - I also bought your arrangement of it, and yesterday I finally made my video of it for UA-cam. Thank you for making this beautiful arrangement.
Incredible arrangement! I simply can't stop listening it over and over again. Goes immediately on the top of the list of Scarborough Fair countless versions. Thank you!
What I love most about your performances is your organic playstyle. You put so much emotion into each note and vary volume and pace always perfectly. The result is just magical and wonderful. I hope someday I will sound more like you and less like a robot.. ;-)
You, sir, are truly one of the best in the world. Amazing tone, and much emotion. Such a magical rendition of a beautiful song. Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
"We drink to our youth for the days come and gone, As the age of agression is just about done... We'll drive out the Stormcloaks and restore what we own, With our blood and our shileds we'll take back our home..." Damn faithless Imperial.
Dude, this arrangement is simply awesome. Really impressive. Very simple and easy and yet super effective and beautiful. I'm learning it by ear and transcribing it to my score to play this in the streets busking.
Simple, and beautiful! I really loved the way he played so beautiful and delicately in every single tone in the song. His play is addictive and can always tug at your heartstring.
Thank you! I am very honored by yout kind words. And that you are playing my piece I miss you. Please post it it here!! I hope you will play my music for many years to come. Per-Olov

I understand that some people don't like classical music. Seriously though who rated this down? And 39 times at that. Those people must have absolutely no appreciation for real music. This was beautifully played.
Actually, it's late medieval/renaissance music. But I agree, it's one of the most beautiful songs in existence imo.
theemutsenfabriek That is the specific type of Classical music. It still falls under the umbrella of what is considered Classical music though.
I like to thing that those people liked the video so much they turned the screen up-side down to like it again ;)
Grignak01 I don't think so
When one of my dad's best friend died, this song was played bij his son. So touching almost cried. He played it flawless though.
Even if it's 8 years too late but I am very sorry for your loss and this song was probably the most beautiful song that could have been played at his funeral. I hope he rests in peace
