    You have King Ding Dong...Captain Cupcake and for whatever reason they made Twinkie a cowboy. Basically what I'm saying is this, if you had a choice to be a King... Captain... or Cowboy... I'm pretty sure it's not going to be a freaking Cowboy. Hail King Ding Dong. 👑

    That voice on the cartoon character sounds like Allen Swift, who was in the Rankin/Bass movie Mad Monster Party (1967). He did all the male voices in that film except Baron Frankenstein which was Boris Karloff.

      Dollar Tree carried them for a while. I bought only the cherry ones and they were so good.

    I believe in the late 60's there was a 3 - 4 inch round chocolate cake covered with chocolate icing and injected with white creamy filling . Similar to a Ring Ding but larger.

      That would be Hostess' Big Wheels, whose mascot character was Chief Big Wheel.
      They were still around in the 70s but I haven't seen seen them since.

      Al Swift was also the voice of"Ducky Drake"for the Drake's snack cakes tv commercials in the 1960's and he was a regular on"Howdy Doody"and he was the first sea captain host/performer on WPIX TV Ch.11 NYC's"Popeye Show".

Dracula, Wolfman, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, The Invisible Man, Yetch, Chef Machiavelli, Flex Flanken, Mr. Kronkite (Felix's boss at the drug store), etc etc.

      I didn't recognize Beverly Owen, wow. I preferred her so much over Pat Priest. She had more warmth, and she looked like a classic movie star. I once read that Owen quit The Munsters because being so far away from her boyfriend was too much for her.

    I remember when inflation hit in 1971 and buy 1972 everything had doubled in price and treats like ding dongs shrank down to next to nothing in size,mom stopped buying them after it became a rip off.

      Well in those days people didn't spend all day on phones or computers, and there weren't lawsuits about everything. So you had more time and exercise to balance out such sugary, fatty dietary choices.
