I was a little shocked at how bad this interview was compared to the later seasons tbh. It's still great but imo it was clearly finding its' footing the first season

The sheer confusion and discomfort that Demi depicts with her facial expression is a testament to the show's success in making the guests feel as weird and out of place as possible. Back then nobody had a semblance of a clue of what the fuck was Eric Andre. Just being a bit awkward was enough to make guests shocked. Nowadays, Eric has to boof cake in front of the guest to get a similar reaction.

I love that no matter how disturbed a guest is, anytime there’s a game or a countdown they are automatically on board. Demi joined in the countdown with them and that one chick Eric tried to kiss played the game where one of the people gets shot.
I think it's just a quick out for whatever the hell Eric is doing at the moment. Like "Oh thank God at least with a game i know what's going to happen" Then spiked back down to earth cause the game is always just as crazy XD

He became easier to find/recognize once the show was big, so anyone with a good agent would know what they were getting into haha
Whether it's a book, movie, or album, their managers will set them up with anybody to try to sell it so they can get a cut.
