There's lots of other ballasting videos, but this one really captures how much a lightly-used siding gets overwhelmed by grass!
Eindelijk een goedevideo. Geen gepraat. Straight to the point. Prachtige resultaat
Brilliant and makes a change to actually see someone working on a layout instead of just talking about it then showing the finished result keep it up
Ziet er fantastisch uit! Dank voor de video!

Thank you very much, also ballasting my layout, but i dont have cork bed, but with your tutorial im happy to know im not the only one, you give me a lot of great look!!
Corkboard is great but foam sheeting for insulation is good too.
Bloody amazing!
Awesome job
Very realistic!
Found that Play-Sand works great for ballast and at around $4 per 50lb bag, is very economical and can be used on scenery.
Fantastic & great.
Wow very nice job
Great piece of video and whats even greater is the subtitles scripe, not straining to understand what is being said, keep up the good work
A tip...use color powder like umbra brown by dirt on the tracks with a brush on it. Clean up with the vacuum cleaner.
Thank you for sharing. Excellent work. How do you avoid the points getting stuck?
Gaaf gedaan!
Hello, a beautiful video.
Greetings Gert
I would airbrush the tracks instead of handpainting. Safes a lot of time.
Bud, the result of your work is one of the best I've seen so far.
Thumbs up👍.
Greetings from the Čech Republic.
Thanks for your comment and compliment! I also think that an airbrush would be better for a large layout. Eventually, there are many ways to ballast and this is just one of those.
What skill and patience - going to have a lot of practice to meet such standard!
Wow thanks extremely helpful
Im not a model maker I dont have a track I may when I retire next year very interesting and very well made and thought out thanks
Its addicting lol
Mooi gedaan 👍
Well done. Thank you.

Mooi gemaakt hoor! Ik heb de video bewaard. Het paintbrush/pencil foutje trok ook mijn aandacht haha.
Great video tutorial ! ;-)
Way cool!
Hi. Very interresting end realistic. What do you use to clean the upper surface of the track? Is it sandpaper?
Topklasse werk.

Wow! Which static grass fiber brand are you using here?
Brilliant...
Wat een gave video
Very nice👍
Freakin AWESOME
Welke materialen zitten er in en waat kun je dat kopen?
scape the side of are rusting old paint tin and weather the side of the track and anying were else to Bing out the rustic look so it looks realistic.
Mooi gedaan
Superb.
Mooi ik hoop dat ik bij mijn kraampje dit ook kan maken!
The most important tool: Patience. Its free, yet hard to get.
Einfach Klasse gemacht!
Mooi werk 🤗
Beauteful
Amazing
Heel gaaf
Incredible - whoever's given you a thumbs down for this must be very envious of your skill.
Very kind, thank you! It would be interesting to know the real reason for a thumb down, there is always room for improvement.
Not at all, it is well deserved praise by anyone's standard. Listen, if they give thumbs down to Elvis, nobody's got a chance of avoiding them!
They're just mischief makers. Keep up the good work.
Outstanding!I hope to achieve your skill level one day.Im just wet behind the ears. lol.
Where do you get the Anita Decor 210? And can you get it in grey color? Cheers from eastern TN
Hoe doet u het drybrushen? Mij lukt het niet en ik heb ook revell matt 84
What are the switch machines and where did you get them?????
I have seen other railroad modelers use an old nylon over the end of the vacuum cleaner in order to pick up the extra gas so that it can be more easily used later after being returned to its container.
What material did u use to imitate the ground? U didnt mention it in the video
adding dish soap also allows the glue mix to seep into the ballast without leaving the shiny top sheen of glue left behind
Hammer 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏
Hi,
Love your colours on the weathering for the ballast can you tell me what colours you used, many thanks.
I also need it!
Great.
Wow is all i can say. Very impressed with the result. I have always had a problem when i do the glue mixture around the switches..sometimes they lose contact. How do you keep them from getting glued in position? Love the result from the static grass. Got to get me one of those!
Thanks! In this diorama the switch did not have to work, but when it should, then I try to move the points continuously while ballasting. I also use just a little bit of glue per time. When it's done and the glue is drying, I keep switching it. If it seems that there is ballast or glue somewhere in the wrong place, I immediately remove it. It's still a bit of a risk, but I also don't like a switch without ballast, so the risk is fine to me. (hope this message has no weird errors, I'm not sure about certain terms in English :))
Very good....alot of these model railroaders fail at this....
Trial and error. After all we dont learn unless we make some mistakes
Nice
