in 2012, we went to the USA with Air Pacific. It was a 747 400 and Business class on this ex-Singapore Airlines was the old First class - the seats were huge! The hospitality was amazing as was the food. Although expensive it was an amazing experience and if the opportunity arises we wouldn't hesitate to fly Fiji Airways Business. Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
Don’t fall into the trap I did…after previously flying the Fiji Airways A350 to LA I was very impressed and earned up enough Qantas points to get a Sydney to San Francisco rewards seat via Nadi for May next year. The stated aircraft from Nadi was the A350, so I thought, even though the trip from Sydney to Nadi was their 737 Max it would be worth it for the A350 to San Fran. But my joy was short lived, a few weeks ago I get an email about a change in “itinerary” which meant about 5 mins different in times but unfortunately the plane had changed from their flagship A350 to their old A330. Now if you look that up their business class is like a domestic business class seat, that reclines, it doesn’t recline to a bed, and the seat plans are like 2 2 2 not the ones where everyone has aisle access. To put it mildly I’m not impressed, especially that I would have to lose 5,000 points to change if a better reward seats comes up. I think it is because Fiji Airways now goes to Dallas Fortworth so they have shifted their A350 to that route from the San Francisco one. So buyer beware
I have loved watching your Business Class reviews and it has just encouraged me to jump on board and we have just booked our first Business Class seat on Emirates to Prague. I’m ticking off some bucket list dreams so it will probably be the one and only. Thanks for your reviews.
Thank you once again for your honest review, Adrian. We looked at flying Fijian air from Tokyo to Sydney, in the end we opted for Singapore Airlines, which offered a shorter transit stop. Maybe we will try them in the future.
Thanks for watching! Just be mindful of the plane on each route, as I believe the Tokyo routes are served by the older A330s which will probably impact on the experience.
Better than QANTAS? 😂 Now that's damning Fiji Airways and their cabin crew with faint praise indeed! Even my local Macdonald's provides hamburgers in a friendlier, more welcoming atmosphere than QANTAS' Business Class, and with more personalised service than QANTAS cabin crew can manage with their hubris.
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy Problem is, I sought not to entertain - my Comment was simply the truth. My professional work involves teaching Chinese, Japanese or Thai senior (moneyed) students in Australiam universities and China, and their overheard comments on QANTAS are horrifyingly hilarious. Trust me, QANTAS is legendary among Asian travellers, but for all the wrong reasons. 😂. From the thin-lipped female QANTAS FAs clomping thud-thud up and down the aisles in their thick heels keeping order while ignoring FA call buttons, to the overweight, bored and supercilious male FAs yawningly telling customers/passengers that "She'll be right, mate." "No worries" as they watch a Business lady passenger struggling to stow her own overhead baggage. If you say "Thank you." they don't reply "You're welcome." because you're not, really. 😂 Aussie 'informaility' might please Aussies, but it's seen as downright rude and disrespectful in Asian and Middle Eastern cultures, and is the basis of many hilarious stories when the Chinese get home. EG To address a senior Chinese Businessman whom one is serving but has never met before as "Mate" to pretend friendship and equality is normal in Austraiia, but inappropriate and phoney in all Asian cultures, And it's not hard to add "-san" to a mature Japanese name, and disrespectful if you don't. But no-one ever told QANTAS this????? It's an international airline geared up to only 1 culture and 1 language 😂. If I were Head of QANTAS,I would FORCE every FA to fly Business Class SYD-Dubai with Emirates, or Etihad or Singapore or Qatar, and return on Quaintarse, so they feel the shame as they see how good PROFESSIONAL courteous service is done without inadvertently insulting almost every passenger except Australians. Good service is not valued or even really understood in Australia, whereas Asian cultures seek out professional quality, unintrusive service. Even in Fiji 😂. Mutual respect is the key.
happy about review mr...love fiji airways
I loved my flights with FJ.

Thanks so much. Haha, well it’s not a big space so everything has a place and that’s where it all stays 😆

Sounds incredible! Glad to see the quality in service has continued under the name of Fiji Airways.

Oh no.... With only 4 A350s in the fleet and an expansion of cities on the schedule, I had a feeling that was happening.

Wow! That's amazing to read. I hope you have a fantastic flight (and holiday!) - enjoy all of the perks including your time in the lounge 😬
Great info, Ty, have been looking at flying with Fiji airways.
Thanks for watching! Happy travels.
Hi Adrian, that was very informative and interesting. Not sure if I will fly anywhere again but I enjoyed your video. ❤ Sue
Thanks Sue, glad you enjoyed the video 😄

@ thank you Adrian, duly noted 👍🏻😊
Ugh, those arrival cards are way past their use by date. C’mon Australia, go digital!
They’re so outdated! 🙃
It’s embarrassing.!Where is the enter Australia app like Japan has???
Hello, is it true that Fiji airport is extremely strict on liquids? i.e they need to be in a ziplock bag?
I had mine
@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy Ah i see. I saw a ticket from LAX to SYD via fiji for $850 RT. Considering buying this
@ sounds like great value for a return trip
At least your legs go straight ahead not like the A350 with Singapore Airlines where you have to tuck your feet to the side. It was awful.
True! I’m not exactly tall, but I can understand how the offset would make for a much more uncomfortable sleeping arrangement.
First please pin

😂 I knew the Qantas comparison on the title page would provide for some entertaining comments, but you win gold 🥇
😂😂😂😂
