You to are great together I was in a 17 years relationship with my ex partner and I had a beautiful daughter, but only started getting sick nearly 4 years ago now, we have been split for over 2 years this was my choice because my ex turned into such a horrible person when I got sick he never helped, didn't believe me half of the time and shouted at me for even speaking about it, it was horrible I had to leave him, I never thought anyone would treat someone like that, especially when your were together a long time. So I'm glad there is couples like you two who care and support each other. That's real love x
Thank you Lillian I'm sorry that happened to, it sucks I know I'm currently living in supported housing because everything my ex controlled and had he's name on so I had to start from the beginning again, I'm much stronger now and I am blessed to have a daughter and your blessed for your children to, they are the most important thing xx
I somehow stumbled on your channel and I just wish you nothing but the best! Your attitude is unbelievable and you're absolutely adorable! Good luck on your wedding, you will be a gorgeous bride!
Maggie how did you get so blessed with zac. I love how supportive he is of you and your ostomy. I hope to find a man as supportive of my ostomy and anything I have going on health wise or not. Happy new year's
My husband has helped me so much. He even learned how to dress my Barbie butt wound lol. It's great having a husband who is very supportive. Don't give up, yours is out there somewhere.
My hubby is lucky enough (😜) to have two bags, and he has always needed help with them. He is able to get them off OK, and its my job to place the new ones back on. He had gone on a yearly trip with some of his buddies and during his cancer treatment (when he still had unhealed wounds) one of his buddies actually learned how to change his dressings and change his bags. How wonderful is that? Anyway, between the two of us and with loads of helpful suggestions from ostomy nurses, we feel able to handle anything. Love your videos! I didn't know they called the sew up surgery Barbie surgery. Maybe then his would be Ken surgery? lol
Zach is Heaven sent into ur relationship. I still get Sadden abt my " unexpected ostomy surgery" but God still loves me the way I am. Thank u so much 4 sharing words of Hope!
Perfect for each other. Can't wait to see upcoming videos. I just know you are going to look WOW on your wedding day Maggie. Health and happiness to you both. Happy New Year.❤
I remember the wedding dress video....you were beautiful. Im so happy for you. Wish you remembered talking with me way back then...you were so kind and loving. Stay happy. Much love from mine to yours.
You guys are the cutest! Love your videos. So full of great information. Glad your surgery is behind you (no pun intended) and you feel so much better.
I'm so glad you guys did this video! I shall be getting married in July, 6 months post-op in which I will have an ostomy, my venue only has 2 actual toilets for the ladies (booked waaay before I even knew I'd be needing surgery) and I'm freaking out! This, as with all your videos, makes me feel so much better. You guys are such a huge help. I hope you both had a super Christmas and New Year, good luck with all your wedding plans 👰💑 much love from Robin Hood Country, UK
Having lived with a very aggressive Crohn’s for decades, repeated, long stints in hospital and dozens of operations, my partner and I sadly had to decide against children. Who’d take care of them if I’m stuck in hospital for months on end? As caring and reliable as my husband is, he works 100% and couldn’t be a single dad for long periods of time. Adoption would obviously not change that specific problem. And anyway, here in Switzerland I wouldn’t even be allowed to adopt because I’m too ill. It’s sad...every day. I hope all your wishes for the future come true! Happy 2020!
I know Zach is probably not very comfortable in front of the camera, but it was a nice change to see the two of you together like this💜 Happy New Year and Happy Anniversary🎉💜
I have had crohns for 13 years and an ostomy for 7 years and i married my husband 2 years ago (we've been together for a total of 10 years he was with me when I had my ostomy surgery) and I was so concerned about my dress. I have a very very high output ostomy and I was worried about going to the bathroom in the dress. You couldnt see my bag through the dress that definitely wasn't a problem and my was also A line. The only day my stomach cooperated was my wedding day, I didnt have to empty my bag once until after the reception was over and we got home! That was my only concern because emptying a bag while in a dress is one of the hardest things! Haha. But I had many concerns about my disease and ostomy for my wedding day but it turned out that I was so immersed in the day and my husband that I didn't think once about anything else and it went better than I could've expected. Thanks for this video! I remember trying to research ostomy and wedding dresses and finding nothing, there's not much helpful info out there so this is a great video!
Such happy news! And you’re totally shining Maggie! Can’t tell you’re recovering from major surgery in this video :) Love the wedding venue plans! Barns can become such cozy and pretty wedding venues! And with the dress seen in the video, really can’t see the bag at all. But visible or not, everyone poops one way or another, doesn’t matter if you’re a mere mortal or royalty or famous celebrity, it’s totally natural to have bodily sounds and needing to get rid of waste. Some just sit on a toilet to get rid of their waste, others need a bag to do the same, no big deal! I have IBS and some issues with my bladder and use intermittent catheters from time to time when I either just can’t pee or go far too long between or have times of just not being able to empty completely on my own and then risk leaking some, I may also need a bathroom very urgently because I can go from feeling fine to being about to burst within seconds, or feeling totally fine to having an acute IBS flare within seconds (I always have Imodium at hand...) it is what it is, just have to deal with it really and just try to not make a big thing out of it and remember that everyone has the natural need of peeing and pooping regardless of how it’s done :)
Good morning. Im from Australia I've have a Colostomy for 49 years. I was 3 days old with a imperforated Anus. Still these days I have troubles with everyday life but can cope like a champ with most. I'm waiting on a date to go into surgery as I do have a parastomal hernia 15 cm. Its really hard to hide the hump on my belly. So fingers crossed. Im married and I have a wonderful HUsband who has supported me through everything, Surgeries, good and bad days. But like you I wont let him change..lol You look after yourself and look forward to your videos. I do learn new things through your videos even after this long.
Funny story, Me and my fiance's first date was Niagara Falls and we have been together for 13 yrs and still aren't married. We r so happy! I wouldn't trade him for nothing
Bloody ridiculous that some places don't allow people to use their toilet room facilities. Do they expect people to literally go to the toilet in the middle of a street?...... 💟☮️⚛️
Comment from a new follower. Re your venue, more than 3 stalls and wide enough for the bride to have a helper hold up the dress (this happens more than you think. Can you add/do you have a bathroom off your office? You should! And re this video, you and Zak are perfect!
I'm so sorry I missed your live chat. The back pain is too intense it has been causing me kidney symptoms. I almost had an accident in the car because my bladder is weak from my back injury. You hae been an amazing friend. I have had my colostomy since I was 3 and people have bullied me about my colostomy. I know just where you are coming from. So many people told me nobody will ever marry me and I am always embarrassed about it. Sice I subscribed to your channel it made my cousin happy because she knows I have a colostomy and my cousin knowsmi get embarrassed so she helps me to feel as though I fit in. My nephew got mad and bashed me about my colostkmy bags until I was so uncomfortable I stopped going to my sister's house to spend the night. This happened a few years ago.
Have a happy life for you both. I just found out your videos on UA-cam and my thoughts are you deserve a wonderful life. May 2020 brings lots of blessings for you both
Happy New Year to you both. Not sure if you have said if you also have disease in your small intestines and if so have u had resection? I have had 4 resection in small and ilium and for past 4 years UC in my entire Colon and rectum. It’s a PIB literally. On Stelara now. Have been on everything. Having colonoscopy end of month and if worse I am going to ask if I should get colostomy. Sick of feeling tired unwell nauseated bloated and pain. What do u think? Curious. Ty
Yep! I had one resection in my ileum but fortunately very little active disease in small intestine (any disease I had recently cleared up with Humira). They might recommend a colectomy if your colon is in bad shape! It's a huge decision that I would def discuss with your doctors if your quality of life is poor!
I changed my wife’s bag and got fast at it! Very proud to be the one to help
What a great partner you are!

So exciting! Really cool that you are opening your own wedding venue
Openly Defective especially if the bride needs a bridesmaid with her to help hold up her dress on the loo!
