- Mick and Keith are interviewed in a hotel room and talk about reggae music. Jagger has a giant beard and Richards seems to be...uh...well watch for yourself.
Early 80s NYC
The two coolest guys ever.
Woah!!! I have never seen Jagger with a beard like that!
69 when he was playing Ned Kelly.
yes, but apart from this movie (which is never broadcast on TV by the way ) nobody ever saw him with a beard at all.. ! so funny.. changes the guy completely..
@@sebasdebordeaux8347 Mick is a performer and often played with his look :)
@@Methilde ??? Often played what? with which look?? I don t understand what you mean at all.
@@sebasdebordeaux8347 By look i mean appearance mostly on stage over the years, clothes style, hair lengh...
Micks word about the future of reggae were prophetic
Never ever seen Mick with a beard. He's slightly resembles Jim Morrison in the last couple years of his life...
You’d NEVER know it but Mick did have this phase
What phase ?
The interviewer is pretty cool. His laugh cracks me up.
Mick's always trying to find his look. Keef is just Keef, Mr Cool.
Keith is flying
Fantastic interview! Captured a unique moment in time.
Mick said the beard let him walk the streets unnoticed and you can see that would be true. Would you know that's Mick?
Hah, teasing Mick about London School of Economics😂. This was great, did not know they had these early connections to Caribbean music
I 💕 had to share this...find Mick!!! 🎵🎼🎶❤️🙏🕊️✌️☮️😎💖
Classmates and Bandmates Forever ! Micks beard, 🧔 It brings me back to the mages from album cover of Emotional Rescue. Cool stuff 🎸
Woah Keith! ✈️
Mick looks like CCR drummer Doug Clifford in this 😂
Love this!
Great beard by Jagger! He should have rocked it more often!
I've never seen Mick Jagger with a beard til now.
Mick had the beard in 1980, as on the cover of Emotional Rescue. Keith seems cool albeit high, tho he was supposedly off dope by then. Maybe this is during his transition to alcoholism. Great footage, they are so forthcoming, thanks for posting!
Glad you liked it, mate.
He was on the cover of (and interviewed in ) High Times magazine with the beard in 79/80.
For Keith, "off dope" just means he stopped doing heroin, but he could have been on weed, pills, alcohol or any combinaison of the three.
He didn't really quit drugs until very recently.
He doesn’t seem strung out out on H here at all to me
@@aunch3 He's definitely firing on all cylinders. High octane something.
I've never seen Mick Jaeger with a beard or any kind of facial hair before.
This was in 79 or so
He sported a beard in 68/69. There's a pic of him and Brian with a beard.
@@robertdillon6821 yeah that was for the Next Kelly movie
Just awesome
Keith is the prototype.. Keith is flying.
I've seen a picture of Brian Jones and Mick rubbing faces both with full beards from the 1960s, but this is in video and in color 1980s. Both Keith and Mick must drink one beer a week to stay so skinny
Keef, the legend
Keith is the prototype.
He lights with a match rock on!! Jamaica too
Thanks for sharing this with us.
Question: Was there ever a follow up??You mentioned that you had a lot more to show of this really nice interview??
This clip is all that remains, sadly.
Great time capsules with these interviews! Thankfully someone decided to make these.
Keith is out of his head. 😊
Mick Jagger must shave 5 times a day
OMG!!! I have never seen Mick with facial hair! 😅 What year was this?
Early 1980s (like 1980 / 1981) during the recording of Emotional Rescue.
Between 79 and 80 when they didn't tour
That's the very reclusive Rolling Stone George, formerly Beatle George until he was replaced in The Beatles by Beatle Fred.
Una de las disciplinas extraordinarias de los Rolling es rasurarse todos los dias. Mick tiene una belleza de barba, no cualquiera eh. Pero no no es la imagen con que los recordamos siempre. Su talento de la banda esta por encima de cualquier cosa.
This is from "ROCKERS" hosted by Earl Chin on Channel U68, a uhf channel. I remeber watching it, I think it aired on Saturdays, if i remeber correctly.
Correct
I loved this show! I was still a teenager living in North Jersey when it aired. This must be around the time they filmed the video for Waiting on a Friend which featured Peter Tosh!
@@EdKazO-Vision why did it say early 80's NYC in the description then?
Que maravilha de barba! STONES FOREVER!😊
Nice shave Mick!
Heineken is a hell of a drug!
ha ha ha ha !
Keith was first with the slash look!!
Sorry slash, its a real bummer i found out 😂😂😂
Undortunately he cannot play like Slash
Jagger as Ned Kelly.
Keith is in another dimension flying
TRES Cool
Mick looks good with a beard.
How long time have you been togther? Whaooo
COOL!
Was Mick gigging like that, never seen a live gig with a big beard
Mick had a beard around the time of the Emotional Rescue album.
Sounds as if they were on The Ron Wood Interview.
Mick starred in "Ned Kelly" in 1970.
This was around 79/80. Mick also had a beard in 69.
December 1979
Mick rumplestiltskin jagger.❤
The heinekens are going down really well...and rip peter tosh.
Hairy stuff! 😎
I never seen Mick with a beard before, he looks so different 🎉🎉. Keith looks so hot,a he is so cool mixed with bad ass🎉🎉
Keith is so stoned.
Capt Redbeard in Jamaica with Capt Sparrow.
T H E Y just swam along. T H E Y live.
never seen a pic of lennon and mccartney side by side with Beards ,,.. now i want too see jagger richards lenno mcartney and jimmy page with beards hope some one puts those pictures together
Essa entrevista foi durante as filmagens de "Ned Kelly" eu acho.
No ! Ned kelly in 70! this 79 or 80!.
Wow, Keith's deep into the heroin on this one, he's totally nodding out. But that was a fantastic interview, thanks for posting it.
A fine bromance. Keef don't call mick Brenda for nothing
Holy shit the beard lol
Well he's a man
He had one also when he done ned kelly.
1979
Wow! Mick with facial hair...
Ned Kelly and Captain Teague
jagger always shrewdly played a role.... he was actually a much smarter operator then he played off.... you dont go to the london school of economics unless your very smart.
where is pt 2?
I thought he was Gerry Rafferty!
Holy cow I've never seen Mick Jagger with a beard!
neither did I , I knew he had one once in the movie "ned Kelly but never seen it..)
and what's funnier is the fact he is always so clean shaven that I 've always thought he was quite beardless..!
Mick wore a bread for a good part of 1979, while recording Emotional Rescue. 😀
You never saw him with Bianca?
I didn't recognised Mick Jagger.
Mick was making a movie .... I forget which one it was .... Ned Kelly maybe .... 1970 ??? nope this isnt from that year ... Not sure now
This is Emotional Rescue era. Mick had a beard for a spell.
J aimerai avoir un son plus fort merci
Eddie Murphy laugh!
OMG! THAT is a weird beard.
It is mick with a beard lol lot's of Heineken
Ah yes there he is. Mick Morrison.
Hahaha
I thought I read somewhere that Mick’s beard isn’t real. But to try and hide his identity.
Seems like if it was real we’d have seen some pics of him with it a work in progress.
It was real. He grew it during 79-80 Emotional Rescue. There are photos of him at studio 54 in NY and all the promo interviews for Emotional Rescue
As if Mick ever wanted to hide his identity!🤓🤓🤓
Do you naturally believe everything you read?
@@EdKazO-Vision That's what I thought, too. Mick's the last person who would ever try to hide his identity in public.
Has Jagger ever performed on stage while sporting a beard? If so, I've never seen it.
I don't think so.
Like the Vikings!!!! Phuck Yeah!!!
mick looks like george bangladesh period
Oddio ma è Mick quello ? 😊con la barba ? 😂😂😂
when did Mick have time to grow that beard? 79 to 80?
That's what I'm saying
Emotional Rescue 1980 he grew the beard
@@flyingburritobro68 i found pictures of him with this beard in 79.
When he was in the movie Ned Kelly.
@@bigbrotherisasob that was 1968 or so, this is 1979
I think this was '79-'80
Keith just shot up it seems. Beautiful😑
If you've ever taken or been around anyone who's on heroin, you'd know that Keith doesn't look like he "just shot up". And for the record, Keith never "mainlined" or injected heroin directly into a vein, which the phrase "shot up" generally connotes. He was a "skin popper", someone who injects intramuscularly.
1979 I think
Heroin is a helluva drug
Was this during exile in 1971.
Emotional Rescue era...circa 80ish
December 1979
What year was this. I’m guessing late 70s
It’s early 80s Emotional Rescue era.
What year? 75?
They make absolutely no sense high af on at least 4 different dr ugs 😅😅🤣🤣😂😂😅
🐙🚀🔥🇯🇵🐭🎶
Is that Heiniken?
Yes.
Would've been prudent for the interviewer to do just a wee bit of homework, prior to this.
Who’s the guy with the beard?
Hahaha
Lose the beard, Mick!
what year was that?
According to the description this is early 80s NYC
Glasses sure are all skew. 👓🐝
December 1979
Nicotine, alcohol & drugs. How the hell has Keith survived?
Probably because of nicotine, alcohol & drugs.
Keith's nose all crooked? Or am I seeing things.
How come Keith Richards never learned to talk
Freaking great
Because he does his talking with his guitar
Same reason why OZZY never did
Mick just watched Grizzly Adams
Jagger with a beard wow.
Crazy, right?
Love The Stones, but really don’t like Mick’s beard.
Mick is funny. He claimed The Beatles always ripped off the Stones, but if you look at most of the things they've ever done in the sixties, the original idea had already been done by the Beatles 6 months before. Lennon said that he always new what the next Stones album was going to be like after The Beatles released another ground breaking album.
Jesus... lol Sgt. Pepper Lonely Hearts Lonely Hearts Club Band came out in the summer of '67. Not even half a year later, "Their Satanic Majesties Request" comes out, and it's like they were trying to copy the Sgt. Pepper cover!!!😂
I'm a HUGE music fan. Beatles, Pink Floyd, Beach Boys, The Who.... brilliant bands!!! The Stones are that bar band that never progressed past the bar band stage.
When did Mick ever say the Beatles ripped them off? Show your research. Cheers.
First of all Mick never ever said the Beatles ripped off the Stones. He's not that stupid. Secondly I don't know too many bar bands selling out arenas and stadiums for 50 plus years
I don't know too many bar bands playing songs like Gimme Shelter, Sympathy for the Devil, Tumbling Dice, It's Only Rock and Roll etc.
@@joe7346 Only bands with Mick Taylor.
You should write a book!
