no colorful lumps of shitty plastic hanging out the back.....no silly badges to scratch or mark .....just a great looking golf club.....this is how a golf club should look......
I went and had a fitting today for these clubs. I loved the feel I was about 10 yds longer on the 7 iron. This club felt so much more solid that my current callaway x22. I came out right on the line between the black and blue dot. I hit the blue 1degree upright, I hit it so well rite out of the gate, I could not believe how well I did hit this club. I orderd a set 5-pw. 10 days can't wait.
Mark, loved this review. If you have the time, please keep doing these on-course reviews! They are very helpful for the average golfer rather than just focusing on the pure numbers. The average golfers are more about the feel and look of the clubs and how it performs on the course. Loved it. Cheers mate.
I put a set of these in the bag and really like the performance so far - 12 rounds or so. I ordered them with KBS Tour 90 in stiff flex. I'm 66 and play to a 5 handicap. Really like the look at set up. Nice thin top line and not much offset. Pretty forgiving and really feel great with a center hit. I like the fact that the lofts are not crazy strong so I can count on familiar distances. Best PING irons I've hit so far and I've had about six different sets. Well done PING!
Love the Ping Irons, I have the i25's for over 2 years and love them. i200 looks almost the same to be honest. Just trying to get a hold of a G30 Driver.
I love when a vendor doesn't have to label every bit of "technology". Nice combo potential with iBlade, or just straight set. Do you think they are workable? you said will do what you tell them so yes? I liked the prior iteration but I tend to prefer forged feel. I think tightening down my dispersion would be good and that is what I have seen with the last version.
Got these yesterday! Got custom fit and compared them to the M irons and Callaway Apex and these felt the best of the face for me and the look was great down by the ball. I like the simplicity and sound of strike. the M irons were actually my least favourite by far.
Hi Mark great review as always , I have the i25's and hit the new i200 on the range today , they did feel lovely but would I be wasting my money upgrading to these .?? I'm I going to see a difference.??
We also like the on course testing of clubs along with the analytical breakdown. Would be helpful if you could also bring along the clubs (in this case the PING i irons) that the new PING i200 is replacing. Would be helpful to those of us that have the current model and if we should move to the newer model. Son currently using G Driver 10.5, G 3W 16.0, G Hybrid 19.0, PING i irons 4-9, PING Glide Wedges 54,58,60 degree, and PING Cadence TR Ketsch putter. Like you say Mark, my son likes to "Keep it real" in his play. Great channel, videos and commentary. Both my son and I look forward to each of your new videos and he keeps a library of the ones that help him the most in his game. He has been playing for about 1 1/2 years now and is a 9 handicap. He turned 18 last August and for his B-day his golf coach got him into PING for a custom fitting in the tour department. One of the highlights of his golf career so far. We had the custom fitting on a Thursday and the clubs were done and ready for us the next day (Friday). Our PING master fitter had Ian-Thomas club made special for him in the tour department rather than the regular production facility as he knew it was his B-Day present and wanted to get them to us fast. I purchased him his compete setup of PING clubs and he is now off and running. Needless to say it was a great father/son event and a once in a lifetime moment....... Thanks for everything Mark.
got fitted last year for the i-iorn love it but this one just looks a million times better what u think of me changing up.to them or really at the end of the day besides looks performance wise there wouldn't be much of a difference great video again mark keep up the fantastic work
The i200's remind me of the i20's but better in every aspect. Hard to explain but they are a little longer, straighter and easier to shape shots. After 6 rounds the PING i200's may be my irons for life! Great review and love the on course testing!
Great review mark maybe you could do a comparison against the I blade for people that might consider turning the I blade sets into a combo set with 4,5,6 iron in the i200
Ping i200 is one of the best looking Ping irons ever made imo. Looks more impressive in person than in pictures. I really like the more subdued satin finish. It feels about as good as any cast iron I've hit as well. Not a Mizuno MP forged feel, but very good.
Love the on course testing Mark. 5i 5i W 2 putts par is more Coach's style though! Coming from G20 I'm really keen to give these a hit. Would love the iblade but not good enough. These would do nice!
Bought my PING i200's fitted last Nov picked them up December been out with them to the driving range twice then nine holes in a flooded mud slop at my local course but looking to a good 2018 with them and white dotted this time btw . My G2 irons in the early 2000's blue dotted so my swing has changed some ? Cheers
Just got fitted for these after years of playing GI irons love the look and feel but do u think they appear more of a gamer iron than a game improvement iron?
went to buy these irons and ended up buying the cf16s but they are a great iron little lacking in the feel department and I had trouble hitting them right not a slice just kept hitting them five to ten yards right of target ....
im looking at these, currently using g25's which I like, as the handicap comes down and I look to get a new set would you suggest the i200? currently playing off 12, hitting similar distances to mark.
This club was amazing when I tried it the day it was out with my pro. Playing off 9 I think this is a great club for the aspiring golfer with great forgiveness. I placed an order that day to find out it was the first order ping has received! I've got to wait till mid fed to get them though!
went to buy a set of theses yesterday ...and it was a great ...great club...but for me the callaway apex cf16 out preformed it. i now know why you preach about getting custom fit ...
Great real honest review like always Mark, though my honest thoughts are still liking the looks of the G series irons better, but will see what testing does when I'm ready almost 2 months from now depending on how much I've been able to save in money and in playing shape lol
Hi Mark, ive been a big fan of your work and long time subscriber for id say about 4-5 years now and enjoy all your course vlogs and review and really helped me understand and improve my game, but for the last year ive been hoping you would do a review on the skytrak lauch monitor. I did see it in the background of one of your videos a few months back so just lookin to know if you are goin to release a review on it as im really interested in it and would like to hear your opinion. Keep up the great work
Great, honest way to test clubs! Love the video and the new Ping does look good with no added on plastic pieces. (Shame Ping has decided to add ferrules)
I love my G30 irons and still hit my trusty G2 so well! If I was to get a new set of irons, Ping for me would be my first choice every day of the week. Great review bruh!
I like the fact that Ping doesn't chase distance by de-lofting their irons. Also, if you don't have to have the perfect "forged" feel, the grooves on a stainless face will stay sharp longer than forged. That's good if you pound lots of balls on the range.
hey mark, love your reviews. what hcp would you recommend for the i200? when would you choose the g400 instead? are the jpx 900 more forgiving than the i200?
Hi, great review Mark. I would love to see a review comparing forgiveness on off center hits (Center, toe, low, low and toe...) The mayority of us club golfers, this is pherhaps the most important quality, looking for consistant distances. (i200, Apex pro and cf,Mizuno JPX EZ....??) Should be possible to do with the GC2, hmt- tecnology and a lot of balls :-)???? Please???
How do they compare to the i25's. I have the them and I've had issues with the weights coming out of the cavity. this has really put me off ever purchasing PING again. These really look like my irons but the infills in the cavity remodeled
Hoppy1973 I've got the i25's and would love to see a comparison to these I hit some on range today and they did feel lovely , I've heard a lot of people saying about the weights falling out of the i25's but touch wood mine have been ok .!!
Same issue with the ctp on i25, the i200 form and ctp look almost identical. When the ctp came out of my u wedge you could see the adhesive was lacking on one side of the cavity. I do love my i25s & to be fair ping fit new ones if they fall out for free and takes about a week but.......for an expensive leading brand club this really should not happen. Does create an element of doubt in my mind on these ones too.
Agree + for me it's the inconvenience of a 40 mile round trip to drop club off at dealer then another to pick it up again, it's a total ball ache which if I'd known I would have stayed away from the clubs in the first place
Hoppy1973 pain in the backside having to send them back to Ping. Mine have lost at least 6 of these inserts and although Ping fix them free it's a real inconvenience. I lose sand, gap and pitching wedge inserts the others have been okay.
Lee Westwood plays these and has played chunky irons for years, same with the likes of Kenny Perry and Monty. I think we need to stop associating iron size with skill level of a player.
Mark, your peak height was down significantly compared to the iBlade (and other irons in general). Curious as to why since the AWT 2.0's are lighter than a DG S300 that is stock in the iBlade. Worries me a little.
Clubs are a pain to get out of the box, aren't they!? When I'm setting up my iron wall displays at work I wish I had taken up a different sport... like darts or something.
ObsceneJesster , With respect Jesster the course at Dawlish Warren is a very challenging links course which suffers in our wet winters. I summer the greens are always good, even and fast. In the breeze can be a real handful.
Try playing in the Pacific Northwest in the winter. That is what it is like. It is funny how your clubs and approach changes between there and a place like San Diego. You go for carry distance as you do not get roll. And you hammer your putter. Lots of fun.
Ping makes great stuff but they've really lost their way. The Eye 2 was groundbreaking and arguably one of the greatest club designs of all time. It was their flagship for decades. Now they've gone from Eye 2 to i200 in no time. They keep throwing new models at us hoping something will stick. The i5, i10, i125, g2, G5, s57, s58, Anser, etc etc etc. it's gone off the rails! Ping needs to simplify, they need get back to their roots. I've been a Ping guy since high school and I've stopped chasing the bigger better design. If you look in my bag right now you'll see my good ol' Ping Eye2's. That's all the technology I need.
Correct me if I'm wrong but the Ping eye 2 was groundbreaking in its time because it had what became illegal groves. Ping recalled them and either swapped them or regrooved them at their cost. I expect some may have been missed in the process. Worth checking as you may be playing with illegal equipment.H
Harrry Brown I think several companies transitioned to square grooves but the eye 2 was most notable because of its popularity then and now. Technically it's illegal for competitive tour play but unfortunately I'm not on the PGA tour. I think they were made square grooved for like the first 5 years or something then the rest are round. Regardless given how old mine are, it's not like I'm actually gaining any extra spin or anything versus something modern.
Tanner Drake don't remember any others in the mix. Anyway they were illegal for all golfers. If your not getting an advantage is not the point they are illegal if they were not converted.
Mark i really like the on course testing format over the standard range testing. To me this is more practical.
no colorful lumps of shitty plastic hanging out the back.....no silly badges to scratch or mark .....just a great looking golf club.....this is how a golf club should look......

Those look really nice. Nicest pings I've seen for a while imo
Great review Mark...Love the look of PINGs new clubs..
Great review, this format is so good. Mark, your channel is in a different league lately!
Great looking irons. Best of the i series since the i20.
Love the Ping Irons, I have the i25's for over 2 years and love them. i200 looks almost the same to be honest. Just trying to get a hold of a G30 Driver.
Once again THE best review of these on you tube.

i just got these irons. thanks for the review Mark.
Good lag putting.

Great review mark loving the new filming. Keep up the good work. Love ping
Ping is going to offer several shafts, which were you playing and was your dry test with the Chrome Soft?
I have a room full of old clubs I'm testing. In and out of the bag depending on how I feel.
Nice review Mark.Stayed in Dawlish a few years ago.Still trying to figure out why we didn't play the Warren ?.
Out of curiosity, what do you do with the clubs after testing???
Where can i get one of those Jackets Mark?
they look like the taylor made RAC irons, but they sure look very very nice. instant classic.
Nice looking clubs,do they look a little like the anser clubs?🍀
Great, honest way to test clubs!
Love the video and the new Ping does look good with no added on plastic pieces. (Shame Ping has decided to add ferrules)
I love my G30 irons and still hit my trusty G2 so well! If I was to get a new set of irons, Ping for me would be my first choice every day of the week. Great review bruh!
Would an upgrade to these be an improvement on ping I 25 irons ?

random question, do you send these clubs back after you've reviewed, I assume the send a 5,7,PW ? you'd have a truckload lying around otherwise
hey mark, love your reviews. what hcp would you recommend for the i200? when would you choose the g400 instead? are the jpx 900 more forgiving than the i200?
trobiz360 Blades are the most forgiving irons.

⛳ Awesome looking clubs, but I can't see me changing my i25 irons for a while. Maybe the next i irons you never know
looked like the loft # was printed on the face touch distracting ?...great on course review .
I'm a ping player. they look lovely. very nice review Mark
really lovely.
I have to try these. And I love my Mizuno's.
Mark, any chance you and the Lockster could do a VLOG with a "Sunday bag" like this??? 5-7 clubs each and 9 holes or something? Would love it!!!!
Not a big fan of the new Ping i200 aesthetically... but love the review and the on-course testing! Keep them great vids coming brah~
How do they compare to the i25's. I have the them and I've had issues with the weights coming out of the cavity. this has really put me off ever purchasing PING again. These really look like my irons but the infills in the cavity remodeled

they look good and sound good.woudlnt expect anything less from ping.
I'm out for new irons have these and the iBlade on my list along with Mizuno JPX 900 Tours ..... this will be a tough decision
World Boss a
Any chance you can do a head to head vs the iblades???
Were those greens stimping at about a 4?
Great review Mark!
Lee Westwood plays these and has played chunky irons for years, same with the likes of Kenny Perry and Monty. I think we need to stop associating iron size with skill level of a player.
Hi Mark
what happens to all the equipment you get sent? Do you have to give it back?
Dean Jones he sticks them on ebay
You are the best, keep it up,
Great new review format!
Anyone know the app or program he is using at the 6:40 mark?
Interesting to see Red lie angle. Did you request them flat like that Mark?
Kind of reminds me of the Taylor made rac
Mark, your peak height was down significantly compared to the iBlade (and other irons in general). Curious as to why since the AWT 2.0's are lighter than a DG S300 that is stock in the iBlade. Worries me a little.
David Ciccoritti weight has zero to do with launch and spin rates.
love your content, keep up the good work 👍
Great to see a review on the course rather than on the range. Nice looking course, but man are those greens SLOW.
Is there some new ping wedges coming... !!!
I like the look of these by I'm a ping player👍🏻😀😀😀
Anyone know what shoes he's wearing?
These review are great but man they depress me. I am poor and can't justify spending a lot of money on new clubs.
Ping are ace honest and reliable clubs
Awesome jacket Mark, where is it from brah?
Cole stoney FJ ...it looks like their new mid layer half zip. I like the piping on the zippers.
great club from ping
Clubs look great but not as good as them greens Mark Awesome
They're calling it "activated elastomer" in these as opposed to "soft elastomer" in the old model.
Another iron less then a year later, so what will replace the g?
j d the iE series which these are replacing have been out for 18 months
So what do the UA-cam golf channels do with the clubs these manufacturers send them to test and review, after they are done with the review?
They build small cities out of them
Mark Crossfield lol clever. I was just wondering if you had to send them back or if you are able to keep them as demos for students or whatever.
3 course challenge within 5 minutes?? Is this really Crossfield? Definitely took some time off not looking for balls in Lockeyland
Mark, I love your reviews. If you could only have one set of golf clubs for all of eternity, which would you choose: AP2 or Ping I200?
Ping make some cracking irons
Clubs are a pain to get out of the box, aren't they!? When I'm setting up my iron wall displays at work I wish I had taken up a different sport... like darts or something.
#Ping #KeepinItReal #LoveIt
Looks like TM RAC irons
Wow....Over here in the states, I don't think I've ever encountered greens that slow.
ObsceneJesster , With respect Jesster the course at Dawlish Warren is a very challenging links course which suffers in our wet winters. I summer the greens are always good, even and fast. In the breeze can be a real handful.
Harrry Brown I've never golfed in Europe but I have heard the greens on many courses there get very slow in the winter due to all of the rain.
Try playing in the Pacific Northwest in the winter. That is what it is like. It is funny how your clubs and approach changes between there and a place like San Diego. You go for carry distance as you do not get roll. And you hammer your putter. Lots of fun.
If I was after new irons these would be a contender
They remind me of TaylorMade rac
Richard Everett my thoughts when i saw the back of the heads...
Ian Flett yes I still think it is a good look though. I'm a fan of that style
Richard Everett same font
Gotta ❤️ a Ping ⛳️🏌🏻
"This is the Anser" I see what you did there.....
Jon Gee caught that lol
alan moore I was commenting on the cleverosity of Mr. Crossfield, not Ping...
Jon Gee oh so sorry, I'll delete my comment
Ping makes great stuff but they've really lost their way. The Eye 2 was groundbreaking and arguably one of the greatest club designs of all time. It was their flagship for decades. Sloe Bone Ping eye 2 came out in 1982! That's 35 years ago, what are you smoking?
Rocking Eye 2's (square groove) in my bag as well. Hits just as great as anything today.
You always have the most controversial results quite unbelievable
06:53 "This is the answer". The Ping Anser? 😂
They look like my i20s except the elastomer is color matched....
Jackson La was just thinking the same thing I play the i20s as well
Doesn't anyone ever play that course apart from u?
Wasnt this design originally fielded by TaylorMade about 10 years ago?
Mizuno T-Zoids Mx 20's came first i think.
These would be really good clubs for Lockey, you know, if using them wouldn't breach certain contractual obligations
