We had an M-14 was assigned to my infantry squad in Afghanistan 2004. This was 10th Mountain Division, and rifle had an engraved year of 1967 on it. It had the wooden stock still. Then in 2006, in Baghdad we got another M-14, but it had a synthetic stock, replacing the wooden stock.
