Thank you for watching!
Great video Austin.. very informative. I definitely need a light pole..
Thank you and thank you for watching! Definitely a must have if you’re going to be spending anytime out on the water at night.
@@nccatfishing ya I'm thinking of doing more night fishing on the kayak. Would like to get some lights for the outside of the kayak, like green. I watch pretty much all your videos bud...
@@want2boutdoors274 I really appreciate it man. Also, check out the Conpex LED light. I use one of those on the yak and it’s awesome. Remote controlled and all.
@@nccatfishing conpex lights, that I have been looking into. My question is, which one to get. You know what I mean, because they have different prices and carriers.
@@want2boutdoors274 I think the link messed up I tried to post. It’s the 10000 one with the pole and case.
Good job,!,
Thanks man
That’s right! Good Job Austin! That guy is good. Are you a kayaker Ashley?
@@catfishconference not yet lol. I fish a skiff. Austin’s been out with me and I could fish with him anytime and I’m pretty much a loner as most people think I’m nuts if I stay out a couple of days at a time. Lol I’ve watched Austin grow as a you tuber and he deserves all the success in the world. First class human being!,
Good video
Thanks Kevin!
Much appreciated Kevin
Awesome setup. Do you ever have any fire issues with the battery in the hatch? Sorry if it’s a stupid question. Last year was my first year in a kayak. Well on the water period. I don’t know anything.
Never had the battery get all that hot on me. I think the most important thing is to make sure you run the correct gauge wire and plugs. Keep in mind the longer your wire the larger gauge it needs to be.
Our koval wakmart haa team catfish hooks and baits on ckearwnce as low as $1.00 i bought 6 dip tubes and 6 8/0 hooks for 2.00$
Wow! Sounds like a steal!
Say whaaatt?
Are these your favorites or do you usually use some other ones?
@@catfishconference not my favorite but i would like think the hook choice doesn’t matter that much. as long as they are super sharp and circle. Ill even use J hooks if in eating them. I do think the 8/0 is a good all around size though. I have used the eagle claw all the way up to the fine wire gamagatsu and they arent a ton different to me. I dont know??
Great video. How hard was it to tell the difference between getting a bite and going over the terrain on bottom when you first started dragging?
Thanks! Honestly it’s not very hard. Unless you snag, which really isn’t often, there isn’t a lot of significant movement on the tip. If you do start getting hung up it is usually a slow pull down on the rod. When a fish hits, even a small 2-3lb fish, you will get quick sharp tugs typical. Any fish in the teens and up will usually bury the rod pretty quickly.
Is possible if I use a blue sky 360 pro for a better platform for catfishing
I personally don’t have any experience with them but I have watched some videos. They look like a pretty sweet and stable rig.
Are you using Navionics?
I use navionics and humminbird maps when they are available. Hunminbird you pay by the lake and not all lakes are available but their maps are amazing on the lakes they do have.
What maps do you use on phone?
Hey James, hopefully my comment sticks this time. I use both hummingbird and navionics maps.
@@nccatfishing I hope so I would hate to have to ask again!
@@jamespittman1153looks like it did. I guess I said something that triggered UA-cam to remove my comment. Just didn’t want you to think I was ignoring your question.
