I like hearing the true sound of the engine. I may recommend cutouts to stay low-key. I've always done away with mufflers, but may bring them back with cutouts.
Guy Gordon, mufflers won't affect hp negatively. The closer to the cylinder head you make flow changes, the greater diff you make. Way back there at the mufflers? No. If anything the exhaust will be bit more free flowing overall. That is why long tube headers make such a great change to performance and an x pipe not so much, scavenging. On the muffler delete, that is a inexpensive way to get sound. A little less than refined but it's a way. Many aftermarket mufflers are a straight though design, Roush, Borla, etc. You just don't have the benefit of any sound deadening. No biggie of it sounds good to you!
You used to be able to get a car with a muffler delete option back In the 60's. Now there is one company that deleted the muffler from all their models. Nobody complains how a Tesla sounds ;) all joking aside I think the mod sounds great. I have a '17 gt performance pack and am gonna do this until I do a full exhaust. I'd rather temporarily do this than do nothing. Thanks for the vid man.
Good shit you should use that mask all the time when you make videos, your channel will grow kind of strange but very original never show your face and switch up your mask once in awhile
personally, I think it sounded like crap. but that's me. I opted for an H-pipe and new mufflers to get a louder muscle car sound and improved performance.
hilarious mask bro. Car sounds good. I have the flowmaster outlaws which are basically straight pipe. I removed the stock resonator and then they became too loud... had to get some aftermarket resonators installed. Now it sounds decent.
Not a bad idea for the budget minded who are looking for a little more sound! Personally, I recommend Stainless Works full system without cats! And wtf is with the paper plate on your face? You're covering your face but not your license plate? JS
I did same thing on 14. All the top brands make the same thing a lil over 300$ for pipes or upwards of 500$ for others. I average 22.5 mpg with Bama race tune and 24mpg stock with stock tune so I hardly think there is any loss in mpg. I didn't dyno before and after but definitely didn't loose and hp so all that back pressure shit is BS.
I'm also thinking of deleting the mufflers on my 2015 mustang gt but have a question. Will deleting the mufflers give you a check engine light on? Thanks any feedback appreciated.
I did it on my 2015 also and got no check engine light and still haven’t after so many years. Three other of my buddies did the same and they’ve been good. Some of them got check engine lights but those were for other reasons.
There's a little bit, I ain't even gonna lie. I like a little drone though. I'm not a fan of exhausts that are quiet except when you punch it or rev it.
You lose quite a bit of power by doing this. When you create a very wide axle back diameter and keep the center mid pipe resonators, you're in effect pinching the exhaust off while leaving a gaping void behind it. This causes exhaust gas to pool just behind the resonator and cause an air mass/obstruction. This results in exhaust drone sound but also impedes the clean flow of exhaust. Tuned properly, the exhaust at idle should feel like a gentle breeze when you hold your hand next to the pipe. With this system, you won't get that gentle breeze but more of a puff-puff-puff feeling as the exhaust will only move in cycles due to the lack of negative pressure in the pipes.
+Guy Gordon hmm... im not saing your wrong, if I did id be pretending to know things I dont. could you explain then why most of the cars I drive at work (enterprise rent a car) that are all 2016 dont always make breezy exhausts, some of them are puff puff puffy. is it just becuase bad enineering?
Restricted exhausts along with other factors like small injectors serve to choke out the engine. The reason for this is usually cost savings. The stock exhaust on a Toyota Camry costs less than the axelback assembly on one side of my car. Aftermarket parts can flow better. Now, when you take a performance engine, it can hurt itself if the I take and exhaust components aren't optimal. Consumer grade engines... again like normal passenger cars are probably my built and tuned to run at 1/3 to 1/2 of their potential. This makes for better mpg and longer engine life. When I say you are causing wear on your engine... I dont mean you'll blow it anytime soon . The difference will come at the 30k to 50k mile mark where you may start to foul spark plugs earlier than normal. Things like that.
+tom my help? By saying I need to get my life checked because of something I prefer that she doesn't like lol?? I guess we should "help" anyone who doesn't share the same view as us....... Nice try buddy, if you're trying to get a date through UA-cam comments, try Match or something lol.
OddSaad Not trying to help you. Trying to help to improve the situation so that the rest of us don't have to hear you in your efforts to get attention.
tom my just because you want to drive a prius and be quiet doesn't mean everyone is like that. Some of us like to hear our cars, especially if it's a muscle or sports car. Loud exhausts have been around since the start of cars. Just because you and that girl that probably is mad that nobody will give her a ride in anything that's actually fun to drive don't like it doesn't mean a thing. There's a reason there are tons of loud cars and aftermarket exhaust systems around, and that's because those of us that aren't completely boring might actually enjoy them
The sound in the cabin is great. I tried capturing it as accurately as possible. It's not annoyingly loud (my gf HATED the exhausts on my previous stangs, but this one doesn't bother her) but it is very noticeable that there are no mufflers.
These comments are the best!! Lllooooollll!!
What brand of paper plates do you use?
bro cover his face yet shows the plate #
That's what I was thinking! 🤣
LMAOO
Damn.... $250!? I got my Challenger’s mufflers cut off for $80. Your muffler shop sucks
I like hearing the true sound of the engine. I may recommend cutouts to stay low-key. I've always done away with mufflers, but may bring them back with cutouts.
$250? that was a rip off lol. it sounds good. but you overpaid bruhh
Guy Gordon, mufflers won't affect hp negatively. The closer to the cylinder head you make flow changes, the greater diff you make. Way back there at the mufflers? i just did a muffler delete on my 2008 GT obj cost me $50 and sounds much better than the Super 10s I had
I loved the party cake plate!

+OddSaad can "afford" a 2015 gt but can't afford a real mask
+Mr.J I can barely afford this car but luckily them Ramen noodles come cheap and they got mad variety too!

What is this the purge lol
did you lose any power with the muffler delete?
Did you went to the menu to change the exhaust sound???
Sounds like a lot of drone...
There's a little bit, I ain't even gonna lie. I like a little drone though. I'm not a fan of exhausts that are quiet except when you punch it or rev it.
Save up for that borla bro! Shout out from Corpus Christi
I want one so bad! :( so much money. Thanks for watching homie!
MrBenbolt i live in corpus too. what up

You're a sexy dude. It's like I know you!
Who tf disliked this?? Bro this guy is a straight meme!
Did you lose any power? it sounds great
I don't think I did. It feels about the same, honestly. I heard you might lose some, though.

How about them headers?
For those no longer in high school and still running a loud exhaust, you really need to have your life looked at.
I know right, or we might become really bitter girls who click on videos we DON'T like to comment negative shit.
Or, maybe she's trying to help.
+tom my help? By saying I need to get my life checked because of something I prefer that she doesn't like lol?? I guess we should "help" anyone who doesn't share the same view as us....... Nice try buddy, if you're trying to get a date through UA-cam comments, try Match or something lol.

lmao 250? that's way overpriced cost me 80 bucks to get flowmasters that's removing and replacing the old mufflers you got ripped off lol big time
Bæ/bae is a Danish word for poop. Also used by people on the internet who think it means baby, sweetie etc.
you are the coolest person I know.
how many mph you did on that pull? 139.45?
Ivan Clero That's very specific lol
whats up with the mask?
WorldPrestige Kids maybe he's incrdibly ugly under the mask.
how is the sound in the cabbin? its hard to tell on videos
The sound in the cabin is great. I tried capturing it as accurately as possible. It's not annoyingly loud (my gf HATED the exhausts on my previous stangs, but this one doesn't bother her) but it is very noticeable that there are no mufflers.
I don’t get why You wear a mask but show your plates lol 😆

wtf? mask???
I want to love mustangs, but that interior is simply trash. I can't bring myself to buying one, rather go with Caramo - slightly more stylish.
Mfw not premium but has recaro seats
