I like the fact that it's restored and DRIVEABLE rather than "let's seal it up in a trophy case and don't even breathe on it" condition. My heart always sinks when I see better than factory condition cars because you know they're never going to be truly enjoyed as they should. What a great car and owner! 👍👍
The owner has a collection of 95 cars in total and he actually invites car clubs to his collection to help drive them all each year. We agree, these should all be driven. Thanks for watching
@@TwoGuysandaRide Glad to know there's guys like him out there, truly enjoying these wonderful machines as they were meant to be enjoyed. This is the first video of yours I watched as the 1970 GSX is in my Top 10 all time "wish list". I'll definitely be watching more videos in the future. Thank again.
@@karlepaul6632 thanks! We have a great selection of classic car videos and 7 more videos specifically from this same collection. Don’t forget to hit that subscribe button, and thanks for watching!
the wheel well trim is standard on all Gran Sports. Also on the Skylark Custom and a few others. The Skylark Custom comes with a kick plate under the door(s) that has two black stripes. The stripes are red on GS models.
When I was in High School, I shoe leather expressed it both directions. One of these GSX's in Saturn Yellow sat behind a garage. I distinctly recall it being a four speed. One day it was gone. This was in the early 1980's, I've often wondered what became of it?
You didn't mention how many miles are on it. Is this car unrestored? It looks like it is bc the hood stripes are the correct flat/matte finish black to reduce glare. Something unique to the gsX. Almost NOBODY gets that right. Gloss black hood stripes prove the restorer is just in the car for profit.
Thanks for the question. Not sure if they have been there but wouldn’t surprise me if they had. This is only one of over 90 cars in Bob’s collection, all finished to the same degree as this one. Thanks for watching!

This thing was the king of the road back in the day. They could even take on the Hemi Cuda, and win.
