I've lived in calgary my whole life and for next winter I'd recommend Bogs (winter boots) they are indestructible and the warmest on the market, they also have great traction. Great for the whole family!
Hi there, Just love your videos! I'm a French dude about to move to Calgary and don't know what to expect from the Canadian winter. Thank you for your informative videos, they really help figure out what's going on there. All the best
My husband and I are from the UK and got married in Canmore back in 2016, and have been trying to make the move permanently ever since. We fly over in February to check out a few other cities, before coming back to Calgary to figure out whether or not we can make the move for real. Currently, what we do about work is the main worry - but hopefully we'll get there! Your videos are a great insight in to what life is like having made the move, keep it up! x
I lived in Calgary for 16 yrs. I used to pile the winter coats in the back of the car and take the kids up to Banff to play in the snow. But one year, it might have been 1990, in Dec , the temp with the wind chill was -87. That was the 1st time in 25 yrs that Calgary had closed the schools. Calgary was a wonderful place to live.
I love your videos! Thank you so much for your time! I had the chance to know calgary and that has been one of my best experiences in life, i hope and i definitely want to come back again, beautiful memories.
As a native Calgarian (Second Generation) may I welcome you to our city. Congratulations on surviving the 2017-2018 winter from hell. Be rest assured that this winter upcoming can't be nowhere near as bad......hopefully!! Thanks so much for posting
Get a silk scarf, there's a reason why WWI pilots used silk scarfs, it absorbs the heat when you breathe out through them and warms the air when you breathe in without as much ice formation as you get with other materials.
you guys are kinda extreme, even if its -30 every day for like a month (ARGH WHY) i literally just wear sweatpants, normal socks, a t-shirt, sweater and my pretty big jacket with good hat and gloves (usually no gloves)
Can you tell me about sait polytechnic collage in calgary. Is it good for study I'm international student about to come here. Can i get part time job to run my study here. Pls tell me something about calgary
For me, I wear leggings and then my sweat pants, and my skirt over top. If it’s cold and wet, I’d rather wear a Jean skirt. I think I should get some snow pants, snow pants are a must for people who are outside a lot I’ve lived in Calgary my whole life, and I would not recommend one pair of pants in -30°c weather
I'm sorry, but 4 layers and and on top a winter jacket? even for -40 with wind chill that's too hot!!!! not meaning to be rude, I know it differs per person, but just... so many layers!!! -from Calgary
Hahahahahahahahah LOVED the challenges I’ll do with my friends! I also live here, and also in SW! Nice videos, I always get questions about calgary, (people that want to move here) so, I’ll definitely share some of your videos! If you want to check my channel, it’s: UA-cam.com/partiucanadabr but it’s all in Portuguese! Good luck!
I used to live there, and I was born even farther north in Inuvik, I can confirm: It is cold. That being said it's not much colder, the big difference is that the cold lasts much longer and winter will last from September to June
I can tell you are not a native. T shirt, jeans, maybe winter socks, same shoes i wear all year. Gloves and my coat. Hood up if windy. I walk 2-3 km in -40 windchill.
Love this!! You look sooo happy calgary suits you.. HAPPY NEW YEAR to you All!!! 🎇🎈🎈🎇🎇🎇

I'm moving to Calgary in a couple of months cannot wait. Sick of Toronto
Try living in Edmonton for a couple of years..Calgary is the bahamas in comparision!
Yep
Don Sharma not really Edmonton is about 2c colder that's it.
Don Sharma Pfft. The temperature is the same, plus you live in Edmonton, you know what's better than living in Edmonton? Being homeless in calgary
agreed
@@zac3126 what do u mean being homeless in Calcary?
I'm watching this video because i've friend from Calgary whose name Sara, now i know how cold winter in Calgary
It went to -42 with the windchill last winter and that sucked to walk to work in, even with gloves and with my hands in my pocket my fingers went numb

I knew it would all end up with drinking at home in such weather :))
Aw! you look gorgeous in the black Winter Jacket and boots. Your children are super beautiful, oh my goodness❤❤
i’m british and i really want to move to canada!!
Throwing it out there. I live in calgary, we didn't hit minus 43 at any point this year....

you guys are kinda extreme, even if its -30 every day for like a month (ARGH WHY) i literally just wear sweatpants, normal socks, a t-shirt, sweater and my pretty big jacket with good hat and gloves (usually no gloves)

Can you tell me about sait polytechnic collage in calgary. Is it good for study I'm international student about to come here. Can i get part time job to run my study here. Pls tell me something about calgary
Yes
Do proper research before coming. Get into decent public universities not small colleges

Guess what, I faced over 52 DegCel in every summer.
Thank you for your videos. Thinking of moving there with my future family.
Awesome video
Great, lovely
Do you mind telling us where your originally from? Love the accent.
I’m from Ukraine but have lived in the UK for ten years before moving to Canada

I could only think of how cold is Yellowknife, because Yellowknife is even colder than Calgary.
I'm ok with the cold, to some people who feels it's too cold, Vancouver is better, cos winter in Vancouver is warmer.
I used to live there, and I was born even farther north in Inuvik, I can confirm: It is cold. That being said it's not much colder, the big difference is that the cold lasts much longer and winter will last from September to June
А я купила себе шерстяное пальто в пол и собираюсь в нем перезимовать :)
Iam coming to at august27to30 please hlep us

Yes, always buy a jacket with a hood whether it is for winter of summer. Keeps you warm in winter and keeps you dry when it rains in the summer.
Здорово. Не то что в Харькове - плюсовая
