      In those situations while shoveling the snow we just have to look up and see all our neighbours suffering through it the same! The mix of comaraderie and endorphins while trudging through the snow can be quite exhilarating!! Knowing that even if your car doesn't start or if your stuck in ice that someone is always nearby (granted you don't live off the grid) and willing to help is one of many reasons why I adore my country :)

      @@DailyDoseofSpace. Your funny. One CM of snow you could use a broom to brush off the driveway. I bet after shovelling 2 feet of snow out of a driveway you would not be saying I could shovel all day. By the way, after you shovel the driveway the municipal road snowplough truck come by and you now have a 3-foot high drift of snow that will take you an hour of shovelling. Next day it happens again. If you live in Canada you have a gas snow blower, you put snow tires on your vehicle in November.

When you breathe in cold air like that, you will feel the hairs in your nostrils freeze. Taking in a breath of freezing air can be very refreshing (unless it's when you're scraping ice off your car so early in the morning). In my country on avarage temperature in the winter are -6 Degrees Celcius but they can reach about to -12 Degrees Celcius in the night,in the spring on avarage its from +12 Degrees Celcius to 4 Degrees Celcius in the night,in summer the avarage temperature is about 30 Degrees Celcius to about 20 Degrees Celcius in the night,in autumn the avarage temperature is about +11 Degrees Celcius and in the night it's +2 Degrees Celcius.It's really not that cold in the winter,or not too hot in the summer.It does snow alot in the winter,it may be a bit warm but that doesn't mean the snow melts quickly,it melts in a few weeks,and the summer is pleasently hot,not like burning hot,moderatly hot,also every season here is made up of 3,we also exprience all of the seasons fully and truly,the winter may be much more pleasent than in Canada but i would like colder weather to see what it's all about,and yes we do expirience solstices,and equanoxes,i like my country very much.

    Winter in Canada looks so much more preferable to the one we get in Sweden. Ours is almost no snow until late in December, and most of that snow just turns into slush.
    Maybe once every 3 years, we get a proper winter with temperatures down to -20 or -25 C. I just love it. The air doesn't get so moist and I can breathe better.

I feel like I get the benefits of a pro documentary with the informal touch of real life people who experience the places they film to the fullest. I am very curious how the lovely Karla (whose wonderful energy pops out the screen) was able to adjust to such a different and extreme climate when she moved to Canada.

    • @MustDoCanada
      @MustDoCanada  4 роки тому

      Wow, what a thoughtful comment. Thank you. For all our latest videos where we go more into cities, towns, etc, we've been doing them a little more blogging style to suit the platform but I do like this style quite a bit. For Karla, it wasn't that bad. For the most part, you're indoors and when you do go out, if you dress well, it's not that bad. When it's super cold, none of us are used to it haha. But a big part is probably that she enjoys the winter because we like skiing, skating, etc and it looks beautiful. Plus, in the west, the winter is a dry cold. We were just on the east coast and that humidity makes it feel so much worse

      hmmm, all can be pretty harsh. The only mild areas are Vancouver, Kelowna and Vancouver Island area. Calgary is actually quite mild considering it's proximiity to the mountains. Other than that, generally speaking, the more north the more cold. And the more near a body of water, the more humid (which feels colder)
