Winter in Canada looks so much more preferable to the one we get in Sweden. Ours is almost no snow until late in December, and most of that snow just turns into slush. Maybe once every 3 years, we get a proper winter with temperatures down to -20 or -25 C. I just love it. The air doesn't get so moist and I can breathe better. I'd love to move to Canada when I get the resources.
Great video! Just one question....what do you guys do if the heater stops working and you suddenly realise that you're freezing cold....and what if it's during the night??....
You'd have to call an emergency "heater guy" to come fix it. It happens all the time to people. I don't think it's happened to us, but we've had issues with our apartment building and someone has to come right away. Pipes start freezing and that sort of thing, which can cause some major issues

Very nice video. I’m really glad to see so many canadian winter videos popping up over the past 3-4 years. Winter has always been one reason I love Canada. I’ve lived in Edmonton my whole life, which gets to -30 to -40 for 2-3 months or so in winter, but It’s not real winter without severe sub zero temperatures and a ton of snow. I heard Calgary was supposed to get 60 cm of snow recently. I wish you two luck :)
I'm in the UK and shivering at -2 ..i cannot imagine how -20 physically feels on my skin. Canadians are amazing at dealing with one of the harshest climates on the planet.
I was thinking of moving to Canada but after seeing your video I think its way to cold for me. As a South African I don't think I can do it. Cancelling my working Visa.
Most of us park our cars inside the garage especially when you have an attached one like you do. Don't have to plug in or clean the snow off in the morning. Just a tip. Just kidding good video.
You should explain about how no matter how cold it is outside it is still.not as cold as deep outer space. That will make them feel better. NOT!! Don't touch bare metal with bare skin. It gets dark at 4 pm. Frostbite makes your flesh turn black.
I just found your channel and I'm honestly swept away. Your videos look very professional and they are so enjoyable, and the info you share are short and clear. I feel like I get the benefits of a pro documentary with the informal touch of real life people who experience the places they film to the fullest. I am very curious how the lovely Karla (whose wonderful energy pops out the screen) was able to adjust to such a different and extreme climate when she moved to Canada.
Wow, what a thoughtful comment. Thank you. For all our latest videos where we go more into cities, towns, etc, we've been doing them a little more blogging style to suit the platform but I do like this style quite a bit. For Karla, it wasn't that bad. For the most part, you're indoors and when you do go out, if you dress well, it's not that bad. When it's super cold, none of us are used to it haha. But a big part is probably that she enjoys the winter because we like skiing, skating, etc and it looks beautiful. Plus, in the west, the winter is a dry cold. We were just on the east coast and that humidity makes it feel so much worse
hmmm, all can be pretty harsh. The only mild areas are Vancouver, Kelowna and Vancouver Island area. Calgary is actually quite mild considering it's proximiity to the mountains. Other than that, generally speaking, the more north the more cold. And the more near a body of water, the more humid (which feels colder)
No, definitely not. It depends on where you are and how big your home is. My parents have a normal suburban home, so about 1600 sq ft 2-storey and it's around $300 per month...
Only in Canada will you hear someone tell you it's going to warm up to minus 10 tomorrow, it looks beautiful but 5 months of winter is depressingly long .
@Nestor Jr. Abalos you are quite wrong sir, if illegal immigrants may be in very small number, Canadain immigration is really very hard to get, one has to be highly qualified with good work experience plus have an awesome amount of money to come here, still Canada is one of the most beautiful country on earth like heaven,

@@MustDoCanada
Absolutely that! And also a whole lot of other things I haven't been able to do for years.
Managed/endured -25 in Anchorsge but not certain if I want to even attempt to visit Toronto during winter.
oh you can definitely handle Toronto then :)
@@MustDoCanada woow... that sounds scary, have any such instances resulted in some serious mishappening ?
@@simplyInvent I mean, it hasn't happened to us. But I'm sure there has been stories of pipes bursting, which can cause some damage. But no one gets hurts. That wouldn't happen. Just damage to the home
@@MustDoCanada oh alright, thanks a tonne for the prompt response inspire of being such a big channel ...I love you videos btw even tho I recently discovered your channel. I have some more questions, it'd be really nice of you if you could reply...
How difficult is it for international students from middle East & Asia to adapt to the climate in Canada? Do they tend to fall sick initially?
@@simplyInvent I'm not sure, but my wife was an international student from Mexico. Saw snow for her first time. They all loved it a lot. It was just so different. It was just a small town but they loved being independent and experiencing the snow and nature.... No one got sick.
Could you please tell us the name of the thermal pant as I could not find it on amazon or if you can post the link to buy it. I found only the normal ones, not the one you have with special layer. Thank you so much.
Sure, these are the ones we have: www.columbia.com/ski-snow-baselayer/
many Brazilians who live there say that Canadians are extraordinary people and very receptive, is that true?
I think so yeah. I mean, we have our crappy people as well, but many are good :)
How much do you pay for heating? It must take a lot to heat a house at 23C when you have -30 outside..
hmmm, tough to say because it depends on the size of house and where. But some of my family that live in a standard suburban house (1500-2000 sqft) is probably $300/month
Hi guys! Beautiful video! Amazing nature 🙌 especially in winter
Hi, thank you for your tips! what size is your TNA Parka? T.y
small
Very nice video. I’m really glad to see so many canadian winter videos popping up over the past 3-4 years. Winter has always been one reason I love Canada. I’ve lived in Edmonton my whole life, which gets to -30 to -40 for 2-3 months or so in winter, but It’s not real winter without severe sub zero temperatures and a ton of snow. I heard Calgary was supposed to get 60 cm of snow recently. I wish you two luck :)
haha true, Edmonton is very much a Canadian winter! And yes, more winter videos coming!
@Zayan Tahir haha, it was close to -40 but only a week.
So Beautiful...but ofcourse severe weather.
Nice video, thank you for sharing the information. I live in Saskatchewan :)
Namaskaar patelji..how about farming potential there for new Permenant resident.
Hi which are the months you have extreme cold? Is it cold throughout?
Typically, the coldest months are November to March, but April and November can also be cold....
I'm so exciting to visit canada and living the cold winter there because i love canada i hope you wishing me good luck to accepting my ViSa 🙏
Hai, are you Indonesian?
I'm in the UK and shivering at -2 ..i cannot imagine how -20 physically feels on my skin. Canadians are amazing at dealing with one of the harshest climates on the planet.
Haha its true. But you dress warm :)
Nice 👌👌👌💖
Canada the most beautifu country in the world the snows, cenery so beautiful.
It's amazing!
Thanks for sharing with us your winter's routine.
Some houses in north doesn't have garages or old houses in the city also don't have garages
You should explain about how no matter how cold it is outside it is still.not as cold as deep outer space. That will make them feel better. NOT!! Don't touch bare metal with bare skin. It gets dark at 4 pm. Frostbite makes your flesh turn black.
The accent of the lady is so cute. 😍
Spanish accent.
She sounds latina
Yes she just said , "in this video" and I knew she was "Latina"... Cool
Canadians: the cold never bothered me anyway 🎶
Is the situation same in whole Canada? Which province has the harshest winter ?
hmmm, all can be pretty harsh. The only mild areas are Vancouver, Kelowna and Vancouver Island area. Calgary is actually quite mild considering it's proximiity to the mountains. Other than that, generally speaking, the more north the more cold. And the more near a body of water, the more humid (which feels colder)
Which part of the Canada you made this video on, please specify, thanks and I loved this video of yours.....
Based on the lake with the frozen bubbles, going to guess Edmonton or Calgary
@@DriversofOttawa thanks mate.....😀
I wish we had this kinna weather here in Jamaica
Hi, I'm from Brazil and I love Canada
That's awesome. Brazil is still on our list for places to visit
Yea, that's a lotta work. Glad that I chose Australia over Canada.
haha Well they do got nice beaches, but Canada is just so much more varied
nice couple love the accent
well, its a good video, good job guys!!!!
I love to watch you guys. I really hope you guys make videos more often.
Thank you so much! We'd love to make more and hope we can do it much more often
❤❤❤😊it's interesting to know the details about winter in Canadian neighbourhood.
Beautiful video presentation of winter in canada .... I really enjoy watching this video , excellent 👍😁
Thank you so much
I live in Turkey Antalya Its very very hot in here 45 48 temrature
oh wow, that is hot!
You people have shared a lot of positivity.
Thank you :)
I presume you do not turn your heating off in the winter. Just curious on how much you spend on gas per month?
No, definitely not. It depends on where you are and how big your home is. My parents have a normal suburban home, so about 1600 sq ft 2-storey and it's around $300 per month...
OMG
Such a beautiful place
But you didn’t tell us which part of Canada is this !!? Canada is a huge continent which city/village or district is this?? Thank you
This is Calgary, Alberta :)
@@MustDoCanada thank you 🙏 🌹
Ha ha I enjoy watching, behavior look like Kaloy the Filipino Canadian.
I wish I could go there to study and live the rest of my life there
Work towards it, you can achieve it.
Only in Canada will you hear someone tell you it's going to warm up to minus 10 tomorrow, it looks beautiful but 5 months of winter is depressingly long .
haha -5 is short weather :)
Hey guys, what city is that? Calgary? Greetings from El Salvador =)
Yes, Calgary :) and the Rocky Mountains. Greetings!
Ahhhh home of the Hart family:-)
@Nestor Jr. Abalos you are quite wrong sir, if illegal immigrants may be in very small number, Canadain immigration is really very hard to get, one has to be highly qualified with good work experience plus have an awesome amount of money to come here, still Canada is one of the most beautiful country on earth like heaven,
You mean the Heartland family.
Nice video for people from warmer climates. I lived in Montana for many years, everything is just as you say. Are you in Kimberley by any chance? The outdoor scenes of skiing, snowshoeing, etc. sure looked like Kimberley.
We're in Calgary, so mountain shots would be Banff. But we'd love to go to kimberely one day!
