Interesting, I have quite different experience. I have current ezone 98 strong with Hyper G soft 1.20 at 48. It’s way too soft. Like really soft, no feedback, ball tends to fly on me. Not much spin either. It’s been only a day of playing, but I doubt this strings a lot.
Hi! I play with the Ezone 98 as well! 48 lbs tension is too low in my opinion with this string. Depending on your level, and hitting style, I would suggest you increase the tension to 53 lbs. If you are a flat hitter, this string will not pocket the ball as well as you'd like. Let me know!
I forgot one other important factor: temperature. Depending on how cold/hot it is where you are playing, the tension would also need to be adjusted. Hope this helps. Please let me know how it goes!
Thanks for replying. I play indoors in south of Sweden (18~19 degrees inside). It was strung yesterday and as I said it was soft, but when I hit today it felt much deader (but for sure not that elastic and soft as yesterday). This was a big surprise how it changed overnight, I have never experienced this before with other strings. I’ll keep using it to see how it goes, but as of today, I don’t understand this particular string.
@@villiam7941 Thanks for that info. Curious, have you tried the 1.25 yet? I wonder if that's better. If not, this might not the right string for you.... but half the fun is trying out new strings. I played with the Yonex PTP 1.25 for years before switching to these.
@@AceTennisReviews I think I used Hyper G (not sure if it was soft) 1.30 in TF40 315 on clay during summer and it was great. I think 1.25 would work better that 1.20
@@kevinle5460 I haven’t hit with the regular 18g in some time so can’t give you an accurate feedback. What I can say is that this is a Soft 17g and would be a better compared to the regular 17g, not 18. In my experience almost strings that start getting that thin, lose their characteristics within hours after being strung so in order to compare them, they really need to be strung and hit at the same time. What I can say is that I prob would go up to the 18g in the soft, simply because of rapid tension loss because I’d have to restring a lot more often if I were to hit with an 18g.
@@kevinle5460 Thanks… yes please do! I’m not a strong breaker either. My experience with thin gauges is the quick loss in playability, so that’s why I say ‘having to string more often’.
Great video, plz how more have poketing the ball? yonex polytour pro or solinco?

Is 1.2mm good for Ezone 98 305g? Or is 1.25mm better?
Hi! Yes they are both good in Ezone. The 1.2mm will not last as long though and will lose tension faster.
How is it compared to hyper g 18?
The Soft, or regular Hyper G 18g?
@@AceTennisReviews Yes. How does hyper G soft compared to Hyper G 18 (regular)

@@AceTennisReviews thnx for the help. I'm gonna test out both and let you know. I'm not a string breaker. Hope it turns out well!
