OPM might not look exactly the same, but it’s writing and humor are still there! Episode 3 showed us some hope for what the rest of the season can still bring us, but we just have to wait and see. I'm sorry, but the punch that killed elder centipede was amazing! I feel people complain too much, and forget to look at the good stuff. I felt the 2. season was funnier, better story, awesome characters (love King, Garou, Suiryu, Metal Bat, even Charanko is good in this season) and Saitama actually develops!
I really thought there were going to be more episodes and waited a whole week only to find out that episode 24 was the finale. Should have ended with saitama taking down the monsters association
Mad Hatter right. Obviously I assumed season two was going to be longer than 12 episodes dipshit. Also, I don’t read the manga so why would I have known how long it would be. Think before you comment.
@@anthg4563 you do know it was stated to be 12 episodes before it began! This only proves you don't do your research before typing your opinion. *That's cuz after the Boros battle they went to try and bring more to the story which leads to them making build up and cliffhangers in the chapters or animes case the episodes. Last season and pre Boros every chapter had a beginning and end and that carried over to the episodes not leaving any expectations of what's nexts you just get it when the next episode aired instead of the cliche tease for the next episode.*
@@chaoticevil1578 why do they have to make the anime exactly the same as the manga, why can't they add more great scene like madhouse can? To me the worst part of season 2 is that they are basically stretching what could have been 3 episodes into a whole season. Most episodes feel like nothing happens

@@kalzy2687 Hi Mr.Smartass , What do you expect when an episode title is " The Martial Arts Tournament "?? Have you even watched the episode? Watch the 5th and the latest 7th and see for yourself what I am talking about. I expected a tournament fight in 5th and got it in 7th.
He becomes One-Cut Man in season 2. Seriously I don’t think we’ve seen a clear scene of Saitama punching anything; just cuts to his fist out and the enemy up in the air. So disappointing
@Supanjibobu yes the garou vs watchdog man scene was same as the manga, but this is animation, and they should have more dynamic fights and action going on.
Oh my god, all season 2 is fight, fight, fight. You wanna see Saitama fight? Different pair of shoes, but you def can't sy there isn't much action. Fact is for YOU (for me as well asd) there is not enough action with Saitama involved.
@@MrR26D No, JC Staff literally cut out some scenes from the manga, including action, in some episodes like when Bakuzan tried to fight Gouketsu which was longer in the manga.
11:00 That thing alone shows how bad animation there is. And can we even say that this is animation? It's literally tracing from manga, It's not even good tracing!
One problem I have with it though is that there isn't enough Saitama serious face, s1 had a lot of serious and plain face mixed together, s2 is like plain face all the time, idk if that's the studio's doings or the manga's. But whatever, another season is better than nothing.
@@pressfinchat you are right there , seems like they cheaped out on the non fighting scene's , the fighting scene's often look like they put a ton of work in it compared to the rest in my opinion

EVERYTHING IS BAD IN SEASON 2!! The art, the shading, the animation, the soundbits, the voices are off sometimes, and the episodes leave you with a lackluster feeling, like the whole action bits are just speed up so they have to do less work. I'd rather watch fuc*ing Fairy Tail than this nonsense!!!
@William Schlass Jc Staff could've done a much better job even if Natsume wasn't there if they were given more time. Not saying it would be thee same quality of S1 but it would've looked much better. And they did get one of S1's animators on the finale.
I keep finding myself asking the same question... "Where is One Punch Man? I thought I was watching One Punch Man... Oh there he is... There he goes..."
Lol. The animation is following the flow of the manga. Each episode combines about 10-20 chapters of the manga. In the manga Saitama was popping in and out of a lot of the scenes and wasn't in a lot of the chapter. He won't have any long fight scenes until he fights the monster form of Garou and uses his serious table flip and serious headbutt to beat him. Season 2 will probably end with him in a 2 second fight with elder centipede, where he kills it with a single serious punch.
You aren't going to enjoy the manga then, saitama disappears for a pretty long time in the monster association arc, but he does have awesome moments such as Overgrown Rover,Nyan and now Orochi fight
@@lucuslopez6866 that spoiled me man, never knew garou would actually go into monster form. The more I think about it, the more questions I get so yeah thanks
That's where you need a Genius like *MADhouse* ,The studio knows how to Make every moment Spectacular, which retains the Exact Art style with much better Action.
Saitama became preachy in S2 for some reason, it's weird. In S1 the dialogue was not too long, not too short. In S2 there are long stretches of dialogue that could've been condensed in 3 sentences. And they definitely cut action scenes from the manga. Like in the tournament, Saitama was supposed to break the other half of the fighting arena but they didn't show it for some reason.
It often feels like they put too little effort into consistent style and don't care about some of the animation, But the fight scenes this far has been good enough, I especially liked it when Garou counter-punched Tanktop Master in the face, The animation beat and force felt incredible
The overall quality is better on episode 3, not sure if was the time to the team get the handle of each other, or if was a counter reaction the massive critics of the trailer, but makes me hopeful for sure.
pretty sure this video was filmed before episode number 3. The third episode really lifted the bar up, the quality of animation is alot better it seems. Perhaps they listened to criticism from the trailer (not likely though)
@@mazafukaH3 I'm fairly sure that they had finished most of the episodes before the trailer aired, making an episode per week would be an insane schedule
@@Ganbalf yeah thats probably right. the quality is too good for a "weekly" anime. thats why i said "not likely" but theres a possibility that they perhaps tweaked episodes (if thats even possible) OR I HAVE A CONSPIRACY THEORY. What if they purposely made the first episode look kinda bad. Sounds very stupid but stay with me. This would initiate more talk IMO. You know like they say There is no bad publicity.
Its what happens when the main director leaves and a studio change happens. Overall it still is pretty great. Madhouse did the first season so hopefully the momentum from episode 3's animation and story continue.
This video was so accurate, the story, the jokes, the humor were all there still...but the art, the fight scenes...everything regarding that stuff was so far off....season 1 was on another level
@@TLH1999 Nah, the ToP had some insane animation, many of the best shots were made by animators that went on to make the DBS Broly Movie, its just before that the animation was subpar and low quality, See animators Yuya Takahashi, Naotoshi Shida, and Naoki Tate work in the ToP Arc for best examples, plenty of more great animation even beyond the three of them
@@TLH1999 Honestly I'd really only say the first few arcs had bad animation, DBS is an anime that is aired WEEKLY mind you, (which is commonplace for weekly anime to have bad animation at times) and DBS' production was rather strained compared to much other weekly anime, as Toei gave each episode roughly 3-6 weeks of production time which heavily reduced the quality of episodes early on, that changed once the Goku Black Arc had concluded and Toei had begun to get a handle on scheduling for DBS and therefore resulted in some of the best animations in the Dragon Ball franchise since the Buu Saga of Z, it's very unfair to compare DBS production to that of a seasonal animes, in the end, DBS has done rather well for a weekly aired show actually has better animation that you think, many examples of these stellar animations exist and can be found scattered throughout the first arcs even if you look hard enough for it
one punch man two didn’t show the main character that much, i think their was like a five episode streak for where the main character wasn’t shown, I wished saitama had more screen time
I think it has to do with the webcomic. I went down the rabbit hole for more content and Saitama is placed in the background prob because he's already displayed his strength. At this point it feels like the other characters deserve to have an intense battle rather than Saitama 1 hit K.O. everything. It wouldn't be very climatic. He has his moments unbeknownst to literally everyone else and it builds tension for the reader to want him to be discovered, but that's about it
This is just what I think but... Pros of S2 -More focused story -More interesting characters(King and Garou in particular) -Better character development(Saitama became more than just a jokester character.) -Interesting character story. Cons of s2 -Disappointing animation. -Genos became too sidelined(lacked development) -Music is a little off on some scenes. -Boring action scenes -Less humorous and witty. -Saitama gets a bit sidelined to the point of not being the focus of the season anymore(this is arguable since this is supposed to introduce important characters of opm.)
In the manga from the end of season two to now saitama is in about 40% of the story. If season 3 follows the same pacing as the first two seasons he will barely punch anything. Most of the fights are other s class heroes
Ok but ur pros has nothing to do with the adaptation how jc staff did it the writing has nothing to do with how jc staff adapted it and any studio could done a better job
This season does feel a little weaker. The last episode that came out had me waiting for 2 weeks... had these 2 badass monsters that Saitama should've fought on screen but WE DON'T SEE IT.
@@lukasp.4471 I think that just goes to show a good team of animators or studio would try to add some artistic liberty into their show, instead of 100% copy and paste from the manga. Just look at Attack on Titans and Mob Psycho 100, they are clearly more superior version compared to their manga counterpart. Not saying it works all the time, but clearly Madhouse animation team knew what to do to honor the source materials while at the same time adding extra PUNCH into the animation because even they were afraid the show would not live up to the manga. Even if JC Staff is sticking to the manga panel to panel, they still cut out some stuff to save budget and time which felt so rushed.
In short, One Punch Man Season 2 is just a regular anime: we spend 20 minutes watching idiots brag about their strenght and punch each other. I guess I'll have to rewatch Season 1 forever then.
Finally, an explanation I can accept. In the past I would ask how is season 2 bad and all I would get is, " it's a different studio" or my all time favorite, "it just is dude. The animation sucks". For me, that's not enough, but this makes more sense. I can be happy with this.
@pai pai That doesn't take an art major. That takes someone who is an expert in animation, filmography, direction, storyboarding, editing, sound effects, continuity (in animation, plot, sounds used etc) and so much more. Or just a fan who knows from experience how animation works.
In the beginning I was thinking the same, the art was good, the style was alright, I didn't even notic the shiny artstyle. But the fights just left me disappointed without even thinking about the animation being bad, I was just like? Huh? What happened, why don't they show what's happening. It's like watching a football match on TV and the Camera Man just cuts to the grass where a pidgeon is chewing on a flower, and later we see the replay in 3 still images, the scorer standing there with his leg stretched out backwards, the ball in the air and the ball in the net, no goalie jumping, not the angle of the flying ball, not even the impact of the foot on the ball. And then afterwards he says, wow that was the fastest shot ever recorded. You know what it is supposed to be, but you don't feel it.
The worst thing about Season 2 there is like the lack of gore When Centichoro got punched he just got incinerated by Saitama instead of blowing up into monster bits And I didn’t see his fist TOUCH anything
@@Iam-a-live in the manga there is plenty of blood and exploding monsters, but read the manga and you will see, they couldnt change the way centichoro dies.
The reason he disintegrated is because Saitama wanted to disintegrate him so that there would be no damage to the city, that's why he used a serious punch. King literally explains this in the episode.
@@chinito5322 Perspective is a narrative and cinematic tool, Chinito. Whatever you're saying is completely meaningless because you don't seem to even grasp the conversation.
@@NeoNeoNeo You are missing the whole point of this. I give you an example. All other S class hero doesn't know how Saitama work. They do not know how powerful he is. but in fact we as an audience know. Perspective doesn't work on this plot. but how the punch lines and graphics created.
i honestly felt like it shouldnt have had a punch due to how it correlated with the situation of the people interacting. Id give some more detail but spoileRS
The second season focused on all the other characters. There was so much build up and emphasis on the battles of the other heroes. And then Saitama would show up and easily save the day. It had a different energy but I enjoyed it just as much
There are some shows that really need impactful animations. I would argue that shows like death note and OPM need strong animation. It shows the audience that the characters matter. Without punchy visuals death note would be a show about some kid writing in his diary. With good visuals those writing scenes impress the audience. OPM needs great fight animation to show us that saitama is powerful and cool, and not a loser. If all the audience sees is humor moments, and then cheap animaton it doesnt make saitama seem impressive. It makes him seem like a boring joke. In season 1, the contrast between the silly saitama and the powerful action hero saitama made both halves of the character come across clearly.
But his ability to one punch anything kinda precludes a good fight scene. The enemy wears him/herself out then OPM hits 'em once. Done. The Animation is fine as well.
This is why I love OPM, the detail of animation during fights what made OPM great alongside it's humor and Saitama doing random stuff. Not saying this season is bad but it's definitely not as good as S1.
@@tiktokexposed898 I think people really underestimate how powerful visuals are, especially in this industry. In a film, most of the information the audience takes in will be what they see. Having a great script and story is one thing, but bringing it to life on camera is another. Death note would not be as exciting and thrilling if not for the excellent animation, dynamic shots and wonderful sound effects/music. It may still have a compelling story, but great animation and execution does indeed makes a difference.
The third episode of OPM s2 really revived my hope for the show, it was such a great episode that i didnt notice the animaation at all compared to the first two.
Animation was great but i still can't get over the CGI metal parts its really distracting and they're still have trouble with art characters look really bad sometimes
@@satellite3253 Compared to other shows OPM S2 is so much better and I didn't notice much difference in animation or style that made it unenjoyable. I think people are just being too picky since madhouse is not producing it.

@yudont needtoknowmaname No, it's different, period. From a top quality anime it became average. I rewatched the first season right afore starting the second, it's way different.
@yudont needtoknowmaname No, quality is not subjective, art style is. You're confuding them. S2 have worse animations, how can you say this is subjective? S2 has less drawn frames, it's all more static than S1.
10:06 that statement is wrong. I dont even care about visuals but the humor and a strong storyline are missing. Stretching one arc to a whole season and some weirdly placed bananas aint enough.
ingiiiiiii strong storyline? There was barely any storyline in season 1. Let me summarize the storyline of season 1. Saitama gets a disciple. They become professional heroes. Saitama get’s a new “rival” (sonic) Saitama fights strong alien. That’s pretty much all the real important things in season 1. I’ll lost what happened in season 2. We get a new protagonist garou (he is the protagonist, but a villain). Garou beats and gets beaten by a bunch of heroes, and makes loads of progression. Saitama gets to be known more by more significant people The monster association is revealed Reading those, it doesn’t seem like there’s much of a difference, but let me tell you, season 2 made way more progress in terms of the story than season 2. And I know because I read manga and web comic of opm. All of this leads to very huge events. Season 2 was basically a build up on a very huge sequence of events. Season 2’s story was way more significant.
@@goldencookie5456 Season 2 summary: Badbois appear. Garou appears. Garou smashes. Saitama doesnt smash, but he will, we swear. Season 2 either should have been what season 3 will be, or one single episode. But you know what, I dont even care about the plot any more, because season 1 was unique in its sense of humor and the absurd relationships, and characters. Without those One Punch Man is just the anime version of Mortal Kombat with the bold one having the cheats.
"Stretching one arc..." yeah that's a great way of putting it, what happened in Season 2 should happen in like 6 episodes, maybe even less. If you look at S1 for example; "House of Evolution", "Deep Sea King" stories were only 2 episodes long. And "Boros/aliens story" was 3 episodes long. They were all great. And S2 has 12 episodes and it's not even finished (the 'arc' I mean)..
@@ingiiiiiii Bruh JC Staff had literally no other choice but to end the season on the elder centipede fight, due to the way the storyline and arcs are structured in the manga. Season 3 (if adapted right) is gonna be fantastic just from looking at the webcomic alone. But we still have to wait for Murata to finish the current arc in the manga, before season 3 is made. Besides, to simplify OPM season 2 to just "Badbois appear. Garou smashes. Saitama doesn't smash, but he will" is disingenuious to say the least. Shiryu's newfound appreciation for heroes after being saved, the corruption and incompetence of institutions like H.A (and their impact in society) and everything about Garou and what he represents are all great highlights of season 2. And all of this is just setting up the themes and plotpoints that will come into fruition in the next arc. (Like seriously, the payoff will be more satisfying than even Mob Psycho S2 IMHO) TL:DR Don't be so quick to judge, we're only getting the buildup to a much more greater payoff later on.
@@goldencookie5456 "Garou beats and gets beaten by a bunch of heroes, and makes loads of progression." - This reads like every single other boring generic anime out there. It actually isn't that bad. In my opinion mad house set the bar too high and the writing is honestly pretty bad to start with. But yeah definitely wish mad house kept with one punch man
@@shirori2004 It's actually terrible. One punch man had so much detail at the start, and the shading and everything was on point. Now there is a lack of detail, the art is off, and there just remains an imbalance of synergies creatively and artistically that makes the whole image just appear mediocre. That is not one punch man.
Season 1 just felt so much more snappy, when a big punch was thrown it almost felt like the camera, along with you was being dragged along with it. Season 2 everything feels underpowered and static. Like when someone’s recording a fight on their phone and all you end up with is an awkward angle looking at people’s backs
I watched Season 2, after it ended and I still can't understand all the crying about the animation. I really liked the story and the animation. The only thing that annoyed me is the ending, if it's considered one and, sometimes, the music was kinda off.

I don't know, in my case I watch an anime because of... well, the anination, if I just like the story but the animation is not that good, I prefer to just read the manga.
@@joong2443 It was actually kind of mind blowing how good the animation on the centipede was. Pause it at any time when he's on screen, and it'll look hand drawn.
The animation is taken directly from the manga, saitama punching the bird was not intentionally meant to be shown on screen, plus other scenes too. I think the problem sith S2 are the skipped content
You sir, have opened my eyes to why some anime I've been watching can suddenly have a shift in quality, good or bad. I've always been judging anime by studio name, but now I know better. Thank You so much Yedoye!!
yeah i agree. very informative. never thought about the director changing the style of a show soo much. Not to mention how much the various skills the animation, special affects staff can have on a project. Ive always blamed the studio itself, or a budget shift.
Yup I also never thought of the staff working on the project and only focus on the studio. I didn't realize that the studio wasn't always the same staff let alone being mostly freelancers in S1 One Punch.
Prince X If you read the manga first, you would’ve wanted the exact opposite. I don’t understand why all of you wanted it to progress so much faster. Tbh, the pacing was wayyy too fast, rather than way too slow. The worst part for me in the anime version is that it was too fast. In the manga, it was way slower and you could actually enjoy the moment and you actually felt tension and stuff like that.
Let's be honest, season 1 mashed approximately 2-4 manga chapters per anime episode. Season 2 actually fits more manga chapters per episode. I can understand complaints about the animation, but these kind of problems are all related to the manga. The tournament arc is just incredibly slow and unoriginal.
to be fair, this arc (monster association) is like at least 60 more chapters in the manga, and still not finished, so they couldn't actually finish with that conclusion.
Yeah, it's like they focused the drawings more than the animation. The animation is what I was captivated with and now that they don't have the same style it leaves me with an odd feeling. But I still understand that people work hard to make it and I appreciate their hard work.
@@Evan-cp7kh people complain about everything, what I'm saying is simply that none of you can create animation at that level, most of you are pirating the anime not even contributing to provide funds to the animators.

Sure not as good animation witch sucks i agree. But the animation is good and the show is still solid 8/10 overall but was 9/10. So i get that some people are saying.
One Punch Man 2 wasn’t the animation’s fault. The first arc was about Saitama. The first season was all about him. But since it’s over, the One Punch Man is mostly about the Hero Association and Monster Association. And they’re focusing on Garou Arc. As a OPM fan and read all the chapters. It gets better and most likely we’ll get more information about Garou and Saitama in season 3 and we’ll see Saitama’s true power in season 5 or 6
A lot of people are saying "the story's still great" as if that's an amazing achievement by the production staff...The story's great because of ONE's stellar writing from the manga. You can't give that point to the anime's production staff.
And that's the whole reason Onepunch-Man is popular in the first place, Murata wouldn't have redrawn the webcomic if he didn't see something special in ONE's storytelling and designs.
ONE has even grown as an artist as time's gone on. There are some pretty great panels in the later parts of the webcomic, and his art in the Mob Psycho 100 webcomic is pretty great!
But you should be grateful that they even made a s2 one punch man out . If you think about it not much profit will be gained from doing this but they still do it anyway and if you don't want to, just don't watch the whole anime .
in S1 its all about introduction, new villain every episode. in S2 there's only 2 main thing , Martial art tournament and the Monster Association raid. could it be because of this XD . its for me atleast

Man, thanks, tired of hearing people complain about the budget as If they know anything about the animation industry, it takes much more than budget to make a good product
Its also the schedule. The amount of time the animators. Have before the deadline is really the biggest deciding factor. Mad house had an average budget but had a generous amount of time.
@@DragonEdge10 Of course, but generally the budget is good unless they're a pretty small/new studio. Not only that but they have someone managing the money to make sure everything goes well. It's rare that a studio runs out of budget since they have all planned since the beggining
@@PillowKing Firstly, that's just not true. What's ironic about that statement is that in season 1, it cut to black just before some punches, while in season 2, that never happened. Secondly, there's only one instance of a still frame to show Saitama punching an enemy in season 2.
Don’t you get bored of him one punching literally everyone he faces It was funny in season 1 but it would just be boring at this point Saitama is just a hero for fun. It’s a story about his life not about his job. The plot is so much better with Garoua being the protagonist
@@suf1an658 Agreed. Also, we'll get plenty of badass Saitama moments (and lots of punching) in season 3 and 4, during the Monster Association Raid arc, so people shouldn't worry. I also believe the fact that Saitama is used in the plot sparingly now actually makes the times he does appear very impactful.
The one thing i love THE MOST is when you break down anime frame by frame and are able to get the exact frames certain artists worked on, and compare it to other scenes they have done. There is DEFINITELY a lack of specialization in season 2. I can't make these comparisons myself so i love seeing people put them together.
Idk I think its the placebo effect people learn madhouse will no longer be involved and suddenly people start scrutinizing every little detail for mistakes and bad design.
In my opinion, JC staff was inconsistent in working on the OPM S2 animation, there were good animations and bad animations, but there were more bad animations. I don't know why they did it that badly
I just hate how little Saitama is in the show, the last three episodes I feel like I haven't seen Saitama at all compared to season 1 where he was always the spotlight in every episode
He'll be showing up even less from now on. He still shows up to end fights but yeah, the other S-class heroes get a looot more screentime this arc. Not necessarily a bad thing because some of the fights they're going to have are going to be amazing... at least if the studio animates them properly. The arc is really going to pick up after the tournament ends.
@@raccoon225 well, I really don't care what they want to make of opm, Saitama should still be in the spotlight of every episode just like in s1. You made a really good point about where the animation was being cheap by panning away during action scenes like right before a hit or physical contact. I think that tiny detail really made big changes because the animation ends up looking rushed and 'static' overall.
Fun fact:One punch man is getting a live action by Hollywood paid from Sony and they stated that they will take it seriously and the director and stuff are the staff of venom um basically staff that’s good with superhero type shows

@@atlas6538 It is THE excuse. If you knew the process on how these animes are created then you wouldn't be talking like that. From the budget to the size of staff, to directors vision, to the producing deadlines. All of that it's the reason why it's not as good as S1but not as bad as people make it out to be. Whether it's the budget or simply picking the wrong animating team and that sucks because one punch man wasn't just your average anime and that's why people are upset
I have so many issues with this season. 1. Low quality animation. Some cuts in these episodes brought me back to the worst episodes of Naruto. 2. Lackluster VA performances. Why does Saitama voice suddenly drop down to a deep baritone for the whole season? And what the hell was that anouncer at the Martial arts tournament? 3. The sound design is horrendous. All the sounds is processed through the same low passed distortion filter, which just results in a mosh of landslide sounds. 4. The editing. Almost all of the high notes just misses by a mile. I knew this season wouldnt end on a high note because the source material is still building up to it as we speak, so the odds were always stacked against this season. So my expectations were lower. BUT god damn, this was amateur hour. What the hell happened?
@@bowbingley9975 no he's right. The voice acting was deeper than first season 1. Well it's been 4 years since the first season so obviously Saitama is going to sound different.

Yeah let's just sweep 90% of DBS animation under the rug cause the final arc has some decent scenes

At this point it feels like the other characters deserve to have an intense battle rather than Saitama 1 hit K.O. everything. It wouldn't be very climatic. He has his moments unbeknownst to literally everyone else and it builds tension for the reader to want him to be discovered, but that's about it
Plus, if he were to fight something that wasn't beaten by another, their fight with it serves to show how powerful he is

@pai pai Then you have a majority of people thinking a weird face in a still image = bad animation

Yes, I wasn't... I don't see where is the big deal
This video answered questions I didn't even know I had.
Deathnote would still be amazing with horrible animation. Dumb comment
DEATH NOTE IS NOT JUST ABOUT SOME KID WRITING IN HIS DIARY ..IT IS THE STORY OF A MORTAL WHO TRIED TO BECOME A GOD

Saitama get’s a new “rival” (sonic)
Saitama fights strong alien.
That’s pretty much all the real important things in season 1.
I’ll lost what happened in season 2.
We get a new protagonist garou (he is the protagonist, but a villain).
Garou beats and gets beaten by a bunch of heroes, and makes loads of progression.
Saitama gets to be known more by more significant people
The monster association is revealed
Reading those, it doesn’t seem like there’s much of a difference, but let me tell you, season 2 made way more progress in terms of the story than season 2. And I know because I read manga and web comic of opm. All of this leads to very huge events. Season 2 was basically a build up on a very huge sequence of events. Season 2’s story was way more significant.

(Like seriously, the payoff will be more satisfying than even Mob Psycho S2 IMHO)

Let‘s be honest here, the whole tournament thing would last 1 episode if it was the first season... Most likely an awesome episode

I don't think people are giving it as a point to the staff, just that it's a reason to keep watching.
Yeah no once is sayin the production staff is doing a great job with the story
And that's the whole reason Onepunch-Man is popular in the first place, Murata wouldn't have redrawn the webcomic if he didn't see something special in ONE's storytelling and designs.
ONE has even grown as an artist as time's gone on. There are some pretty great panels in the later parts of the webcomic, and his art in the Mob Psycho 100 webcomic is pretty great!

Man, thanks, tired of hearing people complain about the budget as If they know anything about the animation industry, it takes much more than budget to make a good product
Of course, but at the same time, the animation budget can give a good general indicator of why an anime looks the way it does.
Its also the schedule. The amount of time the animators. Have before the deadline is really the biggest deciding factor. Mad house had an average budget but had a generous amount of time.
