@@charlescowart5423 I would suspect that it's similar to a custom shop showmaster guitar. It looks like that is what Fender Japan is attempting to replicate with the exception of direct mount pickups.

Marty's playin is just awesome..this song, so freakin complex and fantastic..no matter if he plays a Paula, Tele or a Kelly, it's always Marty's Handwriting. Awesome!!! Domo Arigato!!
This is cool. Tele suits Marty, and fender japan is some of the nicest gear. I just purchased a Charvel So Cal style 2; similar to this modern tele, just not arched, and has a gotoh 510 trem.
What a cool composition. I loved how it built upon variations of many themes and constantly evolved throughout the track, with meaningful changes in dynamics and tempo. The melodies were all fresh and interesting (as opposed to canned phrased), with a singing type of quality to them. Although it was clearly composed and executed to perfection, note-for-note, it somehow maintained the flow-of-consciousness and energy of an improvisational jam. What a master! Bravo Marty-san!
I have been using fender for almost 40 years, I have had all kinds of fender in my hands, modern American, vintage reissue, custom shops, Mexican, americans originals 60" , 70" and even an original 57" valued in thousands of dollars ... I understand all this about purism and others bullshit .... what I can assure you is that one of the best fenders I have had in my hands have been two Japanese fenders from the 90s. very well built, the measurements, the bridge location, the nut, the distance Between the frets, the pickups are not bad either. for some reason the strats floyd rose that they still have in their collection phill collen by def leppard, paul quinn from saxon, the original model from Kotzen, the jazz bass of geddy Lee, among others, are Japanese ... I even think that tender surrender of VAI was recorded with a Japanese strat ..... 3 of my American strats were exchanged the neck for Japanese of the early 90's .... I love fenders made in Japan
@@dougleydorite there is a branch made in JP for a long time, at the same time a different franchise - Fender Japan also exists. They're different in ownership; the prior belongs to Fender U.S., the latter is separate from the U.S. and have there own lineup. Thats why a lot of Japanese Fender Artists have their models exclusive from the US market and lineup. But both MIJ and Fender JP are top noch quality and contain unique models from Fender U.S.
@Kriegswaffen The way you bend, sustain a note and how jerky you do it or how smooth you do it creates a tone. You could have marty's setting and gear but you need to play like him to sound like him.

I believe you mean Nick Johnston-esque is a reference to the influence Marty had on him(nick), not the other way around. If you go back and listen to Cacaphony songs, and vids of Marty and Jason Becker, you would see playing like this all the time.

ノーミュートで激しく鳴らす分、無音時のミュートはメチャクチャに速く正確に止めないと、確かにノイジーで煩くなりますね。
それが出来るので、マーティのプレイはポールよりダイナミックに感じます。
ポールは上手いのだけど、マーティと比べちゃうとまるで平坦。
