    Hopefully you skipped this -40s we are in right now, supposed to start warming up tomorrow. Nice to see calving rolling along. Got a handful of shorthorn cross cows in the herd. They always throw something with some color. But price wise out here, it’s better if they come out without too much speckling for color. Got one belted Galloway cross just for fun. We generally end up eating her calves, she always throws a calf with a white belt.

    Best before 12 hours, then calf starts to not take in the colostrum
