cos the political issues in hong kong has always been interrupting its development. and as u know, HK is not just a tiny city but a large population, which restricts the potential in this city.

Shenzhen has lots of non-urban activities to offer. For example Dapeng peninsula is a great getaway destination with its hills and sandy beaches, as well as Yangmeikeng waterfront and Dapeng fortress.
@@BlondieinChina If you don't mind a little bit of climbing then I'd recommend mt. Wutong, Shenzhen's highest point or mt. Qinian in Dapeng peninsula geopark, but of course either of these ventures will definitely take substantial time and effort. You can also try a place called 小梅沙海滨栈道, which is in fact just a small part of superlong coastal plank road that goes from Yantian Port all the way to Xiaomeisha beach and beyond. If you don't mind meeting one of your subscribers, maybe I can accompany you:)
Hi Amy! You really did a good job on some research of Shenzhen. I live here now and I see you captured the skyscraper near my apartment. I am glad you liked it!
This is bigger than Silicon Valley, Shenzen is the entire city with a half a population of California combined. USA is no longer elevant anymore in terms of Chinese technological advancements.
is car sharing service really a new concept to a westerner? here in Moscow there's a ton of companies offering various models ranging from the cheapest to the most luxurious ones. the majority of them appeared in the last three-four years I think. and yeah, all of them work through apps and you can park almost anywhere in the city.
The renting system is effective in France since years now, we have bike and even trotters (?) in rent in the street, even if things aren't going well for the later. Love your content, I'm reconnecting with my four years in Chinese class thru it. Well I'm quickly getting my basic back more than anything else as for now tbh, but after learning too much language my brain had to drop one and he decided to go with the less practiced unfortunately. So yea, thank you Blondie.
International branded products are more expensive in Shenzhen than Hong Kong. That is why Shenzhen people go on a weekend shopping spree over the "boarder" to Hong Kong... Yes, the "boarder' between Hong Kong and China. Shenzhen people need a special permission (visa ) to visit Hong Kong.
Thanks for the video but as it has so little cultural heritage it holds little interest for myself. But if you like high vibe city it is the place to go.
While Shenzhen is moving forward, HK is moving 2 stopes forward and 1 step backwards !!! i firmly believe that in about 10 years, Shenzhen will leave HK in its dust !!!
Oh,yeah, having said that, I replayed your video today and found another one, you said "US and Australia combined", US is 美国 instead of 英国,英国 is the UK, greetings!@@BlondieinChina
Your natural enthusiasm is perfect for showcasing this modern and dynamic city! :D

I like that your videos are well edited with the right rhythm. It is not too long but very informative. Good work and well done!
Hongkong will be replace by Shenzhen if the trend is going on. Hongkong become more and more conservative and Shenzhen become more and more opening.
cos the political issues in hong kong has always been interrupting its development. and as u know, HK is not just a tiny city but a large population, which restricts the potential in this city.
Since this comment was written 3 years ago, the GDP per capita of Shenzhen is now higher than in Hong Kong I think for first time from 2019

Great fun to watch your video
I appreciate your work
Good job
She is right. None of the high-rise buildings you see in Shenzhen existed 40 years ago, because Shenzhen was a fishing village back then.
Most of them weren't there 20yrs ago!
Growing up in the 1960s in Hong Kong, my impression was that it was just a border crossing to China.
I plan on moving to Shenzhen next year, but had my reservations. Thanks for this video to make my decision clear! :)
Awesome news! You're gonna love it. You'll definitely never get bored in this city

Shenzhen was a nice city to live in. Very modern, warm weather, and beautiful.
