Ah okay, I don't own that one, but it is a book in that series. gotcha! I was so startled for a minute. lol! If you mean in my specific collection, you're thinking of Mythographic Wild Winter, the one with the big frog in it? That one's by Joseph Catimbang.

You have amazing collection, and beautiful coloured works! I do love the art work of Joseph and Kerby. This small items to find really bothers me when I’m colouring, sometimes I hide them, but it is such a waste of time for me, then I just give up and just go ahead to colour it anyways 😂. I’m so glad that finally publisher agreed to release new book without this unrelated things for us to discover. I also started keeping track of my colouring books since my collection started expanding, I have physical and digital, both helps me to visualize and be more productive. Thank you for sharing 💜 Enjoyed watching

you're definitely not the only one! I know there's a facebook group of people that (hopefully) own the book and get printouts from a photoshop adept that removes the hidden images for them. I'm not willing to go that far for it, but I totally understand the motivation because blegh, hidden things...
@Jjjj Llll I think majority don’t like these hidden objects, according to what I have red on amazon reviews, only few like it and consider this to be the point of the book, I agree since the book says color and discover. They could simply remove part where it says “discover”. Also we had similar hidden objects on Kerby’s book, however it wasn’t like 15-20 of them, or on Johanna’s books as well, most of the time these objects made sense.
@Jjjj Llll That’s a cool idea! Completely agree with you, illustrations are beautiful by themselves. Sometimes I just enjoy looking at them, and just appreciate amazing line artwork.

Currently I only own 3 colorbooks, I want to have more, even thought I haven't finished those yet. 😅

Thanks Aeryn. Really enjoyed your collection. Love your digital excel filing system. I have over 650 physical books in a small bedroom that I converted to my Coloring Book Library. I have open book shelves so I can browse and look over everything. Lately, I seem to spend more time collecting books than coloring them. I have to work on that!
Oh wow, that must be an amazing collection of authors and subjects! I hope you have a great time just being in your library space and looking at the pages. Perhaps there's a system or challenge you could come up with if you'd like to focus on colouring your pages more, seeing as humans often find motivation in making games of their goals, but there's also nothing wrong at all with just having them for the sake of having them if it makes you happy. There are a small few of books I have, not included in this video, that I have kept but decided that I don't intend to colour them so they were moved to just the regular book shelves. Just because it's "intended" that you colour a colouring book doesn't mean there's a law! Thank you for watching and for your comment :)

The Pictura books are wonderful. I have all the ones I like and even just to look at they are interesting. The format is inventive, I believe a special audience goes for these book. The Medieval title I believe is everyone's favourite. Why they never really appeared in North America is beyond me. I find along with colouring goes collecting. Collecting colouring book, colouring tools, etc. I find you get things you simply never get around to using. Your collecting is quite different than mine. Seen books I have never seen before.
While they're definitely not my favourite, I'm glad you enjoy your Pictura books. I'm in north america, so they were definitely here since I got mine from Amazon US. I agree that sometimes it seems like the collecting of interesting books and the *colouring* of interesting books can be two different hobbies. There's a few in my collection I just like looking at, but don't want to bother to colour. I'm glad you saw new books and I hope you enjoyed the video!
I just found your channel. I am in love especially I live in San Francisco so I feel not so alone coloring in my coloring books. My grown children laugh at me for coloring. I don’t mind because they are stressing out learning how to live on their own in California…
Awww hi! I'm sorry your kids make fun of you, but I hope they're, as you say, just compensating for some of their stress. I have no idea how I'd deal being a kid at this point either. IMO as long as mom's having fun, you're not hurting anyone. I hope you do find joy in your hobby and you enjoy my videos.
I also don’t print my pdf colouring books unless I decide to colour, and usually I print particular page that I want to colour. But I do prefer having physical books with stitched binding rather than pdfs. Also my printer’s ink jet type, so if I apply water the ink will start dissolving, since then I stopped getting pdfs.
Ah, well one thing I might suggest is that you try printing in "draft mode" with your inkjet. I have an inkjet as well, though I don't use water so it might not totally help. But draft mode uses less ink and doesn't take as long to dry or soak into the paper. I hope it helps, but I also totally get you, sometimes it's nice to just have the physical book. For me, I couldn't stand the paper amazon uses and the way my markers worked on it. That was the deal breaker ;)
@@AerynKDesigns Never thought about it, thank you, definitely will give it a try. I thought about printing in lighter colour like grey, didn’t figure out which app to use for that yet.
ah yeah that makes sense. when I wanna lower the opacity of the image before I print it I just use photoshop (I have a very old version, but it gets the job done) and then I'll print it in draft mode. Mostly I started doing it for my Copics so they don't transfer the ink onto the nibs if it's accidentally still wet. That way I can start colouring right away. Since it's not waterproof it will still smudge, but I bet if you're careful and it's your preferred method for colouring, you'll sort out a solution.
@@AerynKDesigns I love using watercolor and printed some illustrations on different types of paper, didn't help a bit, but ink is more resistant to water when I used normal office paper. Last resort would be to go to typing center and print it using laser printer. But first will try to print using draft.

Haha yeah, it's not that she's not great, I just don't find any appeal in JB's books. I'm always happy when I find an artist or book I don't have to spend money on! And I agree with you, I much prefer the books where I can use my Copics. There's a lot of 8x5x11 books, like Creative Haven's line, that have decent paper for both types of markers but are single sided. Finding a larger book that's single sided is harder, but that's why I have them noted in my spreadsheet because I'm not always expecting which one is which. Thank you for watching!

I have Mythographic; animals. .. and i think i am the only one, who actually likes the objects haha XD.
I love surreal things, and with those objects, it makes it even more surreal. So i don't mind the objects hihi.

you should check Mythographic: Menagerie book by Fabiana - it is no hidden objects plus its animals... so it might be much more to your taste

Hi there ! you said how you were not a replicator(how refreshing!) , me too, I want to do my own colour schemes etc. . Thats the only thing about Asian colouring books, they assume that every colourist wants to dutifuly copy..ugh. I have many of the same books but saw some that you have that I do envy ! Thanks for a fun video! I loved the one with tiger and cats...do you happen to know its name ? Its ok if not....
Hiya friend! could you cite a timestamp this book is at? That'd help me identify it for you. I'm guessing, but there's two with a tiger and a troupe of cats, it's called Cat's Therapy 1 and 2, but you could be thinking of another. I'm glad you enjoyed the video :)

I enjoyed watching your video. I have seen Vintage my Room in another video. I cannot find this book anywhere. If you have any suggestions I would sure appreciate. I thought your pics were lovely. I assume you use markers and paints. I guess I'm afraid to give those a try. Thanks so much.
Yeah I dunno, I bought that book years and years ago. It might be out of print if you can't find it in the obvious places. I use all sorts of things in my books, you'd have to pick a picture for me to cite what I used for you. I don't often use paint, but I have on occasion. If it's single sided I do prefer to use Copic markers as that's my preferred medium. I don't really know why you'd be afraid of such things, as it's just paper and colour, but I'm sure you'll get there if you're really wanting to. All mediums technically work in all books, so it's just up to preference, not really requirements. Thanks for watching!

Gosh, no, that's not something I'd make, personally, despite liking records. If you have a specific one, maybe I can remember, but honestly google's gonna be your best friend if the book is still in print. Since I've been collecting so long it is possible that the book is just plain not available anymore and that's why you can't find it. Thank you for watching

Oh yeah, I've read all the books, seen all the things, worked with papers that had the original drawings on them, and stamps too in my papercrafts. Been there, done it, and just got way over it that's all. Obviously it's a fine IP for people to enjoy, I just can't... yeah, don't wanna deal with it anymore hahahaha. No malice, just meh, not for me.

Sorry, no. If you have a specific book you have a question about, I could probably help you, but I've been creating this collection for 5 years and predominantly these books are still available on the various amazon websites. Citing 218 colouring books would take a lot of time and is just not necessary when most of the answers are amazon.com or etsy. I also don't use Alixexpress myself so I have no idea what is available on that website. I suggest polishing your google-fu and keeping an eye out for the covers of the books using the image and shopping sections. Thank you for watching, and happy hunting!

Ah no, nothing special. I have used amazon jp, but that's about it, just amazon and etsy in the past, but shipping from korea got to be so big I just do without for now. I don't have an ebay account either, so I don't get anything from there. which is kind of good, cos there's a lot of Rainbow High doll things I'd want if I didn't have to ask husband to use HIS ebay account ;)
Where do you buy your books at?
Pretty sure I mention it in the beginning, but mostly amazon. Anything currently available is easily googled and is usually on either amazon (US or JP) or sometimes etsy. I don't buy from etsy anymore as the shipping from them is usually over $25. Thanks for watching!

Nope, you're not wrong! I don't have any books by those artists. While they're just fine, and very successful artists in their own right, I do not enjoy colouring their works so I don't have their books. I had a few Hannah books when I started, coloured about um, 4 pages, and realised I just did not enjoy colouring them so I passed them on to a friend who was overjoyed to have special hardcover books (her words). Same with the one Basford book, but I only finished one of her pages and did not enjoy it. Like I said, there's nothing wrong with their art, they're fine and talented women, but their pictures are not for me so I don't have them in my collection.
