No broken fenders.. Looks like some wheelie progress to this dude!!!! A little front and or rear brake dab. when your weighting the suspension right before the clutch pop. is a game changer!
first off, try finding an uphill slope to practice on. much easier to learn while going uphill. Then start by popping it up and then "slamming" it down with the brake. protip is to drag the brake all the time, its probably not good for the brakes long term but when you are learning it is reducing yourisk of completely losing the brake. slamming it down and draging the brake will give u some sort of muscle memory connecting your head to your hands and foot. when u start getting a feeling that you have brake control u should try to do first gear sloooooow wheelies just trying to stay as close to the balance point as u can. still on a slope. this is the scariest step because it feels really wierd and scary to hit the balance point but u just have to push over that point and after that you just have to grind to control speed etc. then youre good to go. i've done this on bicycle, small moped, big moped and mx bike and it is the best method in my opinion. btw idk if u already do this but wear a backbrace because it gives u lots more confidence.
Man, I feel like I’ve been waiting for this video for over a year! You just need to do it more often, get out there for an hour every day, after a month you’ll be doing a wheelie around the whole yard. I’d keep watching these videos.
I actually enjoy these training videos Mr. Marvis. Bought the wheelie bar you used previously and it's on my 300xcw, works great to give that little bit of confidence. My advice is to keep using it brother, it really works. Don't get me wrong I still suck but just a little less so every day. Remember this is a confidence thing, I've seen you ride and you're plenty talented.
😄 the baby shoe is genius. A couple times this year I could have used a consistent wheelie. I'm putting the bike back to stock gear next spring, and new tire, and givener
If you've got access to a light sports quad, learn on that first - you'll be able to loop it out slowly and it'll just sit on the tail, kick it over and try again, and again, and again. You'll be learning just the one axis (throttle/brake) instead of both balance points (throttle/brake & left/right), learning incrementally helps with confidence, learning consistently helps with progression.
There’s a really great video by a guy called corkycanstunt. He breaks it all down into 8 steps. Some of them may seem a bit trivial and boring but they really help with teaching you the muscle memory you need to get used to the back break control. You’ll probably never loop the bike again if you learn it in the right order. How I learnt to wheelie my supermoto not looped it yet. Loving the content! Keep it up. It’s making me really want to start riding enduro!! Looks like such a laugh.
Ya know the difference between you practicing wheelies and me practicing wheelies? I didn't video mine lol. You really captured my pain. I am not meant to do them, but I keep practicing. Love the videos 👍
haha, loved the original wheelie series because i was doing the same thing. I can say that the bike is better than you had on the first videos but, the rider is pretty much the same😂😂. What i like to do on slow wheelies is hit the front brake to compress the forks and on the upstroke do the clutch and gas. But honestly on a 450, you really don't have to try very hard. Good luck bud and see ya on the next one.
I would try this. Sit still. Get the front end up. Find the pivot point where she easily comes over backwards. Ease it down and repeat until you know where to stop before that. Then try it moving
I agree, Quit while you are ahead! I too am obsessed with wheelies despite the fact that riding a slow wheelie has never been needed anywhere I have ever ridden.... I wish you had tried longer with the wheelie bar. I am thinking of buying one but have yet to see anyone make a progression video so I can see if the damn thing works or not...
Man get a Rekluse rear brake and you will love love it. You still have the clutch up there but one a wheelie or big down hill you have a easy rear brake right there
try to find a steeper incline it makes things easier at the start ..Once you get the feel of the balance point it will be like a light switch and you will go forever ,its all about thoughtless actions soon you wont think about it and it will be easier .... but the steeper incline is the best way for me anyway to start ..good luck ,
I already have a pair of havocs but I could always do with an extra pair lmao. Your getting better with the technique. I can see the difference from last time👍keep trying buddy you'll eventually get it
Oh mate , I feel your pain , could never wheelie my old chopper ( yeah , I am getting on a bit ) and still can't wheelie my dirt bike . Only time I got near I grabbed front brake as wheel came down and got a fractured nose to show for it.TPI Dude.
Great videos buddy as always my advice would be try and let the bike come up to you rather than trying to pull on the bars and with one leg down try and allow your foot to slide across the ground rather than try and run with the bike in the air it feels weird to start with but you will gradually put less pressure on the foot that is on the ground being able to skim across then you will be able to lift your leg as you get used to it with practice and then keep your foot on the pegs hope this helps
Yeah I totally suck at the one wheel wheelie. So I just pretend I am riding wheelies. Works great for everyone involved. Hella good circle wheelie. Graham was even jealous I am sure.
Don’t start off a stand still go like a alright speed in first then pop the clutch an stamp on the back brake you need to start rolling so you don’t pull to the left
i know this video is old and youre a bit better with wheelys now but your problem here was you where hopping on your left leg instead of keeping your bum planted and weighting the back wheel..try sit and just drag your left leg if you cant get it up, dont hop. might help get used to that sweet spot
Haven't practiced since the last vid? I thought you were secretly getting good at it then going to surprise us. But then an eternity went by and I figured you were never going to try again.
What really helped me, and how I would recommend you learn wheelies is by doing the following: So I did a lot of mental preparing before actually doing balance point wheelies. The whole time, while I was going about my day, I was contently imagining myself pressing the back brake in a wheelie. When I say that I mean every ten minutes, I thought of it, for about 2 months. I really didn't want to loop my bike cause it has a number plate and just a bunch of stuff that's going to break if I looped it. So I really prepared myself properly. (I learned on a Honda XR125, a bike with 11hp that weighs 25kg more than most dirtbikes) And then I started to go towards the balance point, and just started using that back brake, like I trained for years. So that mental training really helped. Obviously with the XR being a very very hard bike to get up into a wheelie, a very hard part with it was first learning to get the front wheel up. But of course with a bike like yours with more than enough power, getting the wheel up isn't the problem. Then from there I just practiced. First just in first gear, cause it couldn't pic up in any higher gear, then learning to switch to second while wheeling, and then I got a Yamaha DT175. A very similar looking bike, but tonnes better, with more HP and only 107kg. That is about what a modern enduro bike weighs. And then I realized what I was missing out on. I instantly started learning circle wheelies, because the DT did it sooo effortlessly. The XR just wanted to go straight. It took me like 3 days to get used to the more power, now 17,5hp, and then I was doing wheelies up to like 3rd 4th gear. The XR really thought me the technique because it is such a s*hit off road bike. Now I can do circle wheelies, pivot turns, wheelies to like 4th gear and about 85kmph. So I would really recommend you prepare and train yourself mentally. Then you can learn wheelies without ever crashing, if you're very carful of course and take it slow. Until this day I only looped out once, and that was when I got so slow in the wheelie, that I pressed the brake, but it wasn't enough. So I slid off the seat and stood behind the bike with my hands on the bars. Then letting the front wheel drop down to one side, never falling over. So my bike didn't even get hurt.
No broken fenders.. Looks like some wheelie progress to this dude!!!! A little front and or rear brake dab. when your weighting the suspension right before the clutch pop. is a game changer!
Respect to folk who are good at wheelies and respect to you for showing how hard they are. Love the content.

i just went outside to try and wheelie my 300 and idk if a chest protector is what your talking about but it sure did give me way more confidence.
I've been behind on watching my UA-camrs lately but Midwest never ceases to amaze, make me laugh and entertain.
Keep it up xx
Man, I feel like I’ve been waiting for this video for over a year!
You just need to do it more often, get out there for an hour every day, after a month you’ll be doing a wheelie around the whole yard.
I’d keep watching these videos.
Your wheelie crashes are so famous that Chris birch shows your video to tell how not to do it. You still trying after all those fails is commendable.
Don’t even know who Chris Birch is. I’ll have to find him
I actually enjoy these training videos Mr. Marvis. Bought the wheelie bar you used previously and it's on my 300xcw, works great to give that little bit of confidence. Ride round with the back brake on a bit so your all ready pressing it before you pop it up, this tip helped me loads
Hahah another great video 😝 can always count on you for the laughs 🤙🤙
you didn’t snap a guard so definitely have improved since last series 🙏
Keep at it marvis you will get there practice makes ok lol great videos Keep them coming

Preformence anxiety, that’s the excuse I use for sucking so bad at wheelies. Appreciate your time and efforts M8

I love your videos so so so so so much they are so good I have watched all your videos
On my tv
What matters is that you keep trying. Someday it will just click for you.
Bro I actually need this and love ur content been subbed for about a year now 🤟
love your videos dude!
Great video mate!
I do a lot of wheelies and it’s easier to learn going a slight uphill and dry land. and main thing is to trust your back brakes.
Mate them pivot turns are looking good, something I'm currently practising
Keep at it youll get it man 👌 atleast the bike dident loose its rear end this time 👍
I recommend using 3 gear. I am on a ktm 250 xc-w and 3 gear is perfect for the yard doing wheelies.
Tpi baby!
Subscribed! You're a better rider than u give yourself credit for!
Need to hug the seat more with your knees marv! Squeeeeeeeezzzzeeeee
I already have a pair of havocs but I could always do with an extra pair lmao.
Your getting better with the technique. I can see the difference from last time👍keep trying buddy you'll eventually get it
Get yourself a wheelie bar, helps you find the balancing point without stressing about looping the bike 🤜🏼
Great video. Now I am off to get a pair of baby shoes.
Aww, I can't put in for the giveaway because I don't have instagram. I still liked it though!
No....keep showing the videos!
Keep up the hard work. It will pay off. I’m learning still and on a yz125 is kinda hard
cant wait for the days when you and your buddies are all wheeling together
All the way from south africa
Same

Nice kicks mate 😁
Urban Enduroo !!! :D
Haven't got insta 😕 but I liked it anyways and took a screen shot of your mush!
Ps. Love the vids too.
Don't feel bad, I can wheelie worth a crap either. Always could on bicycles but not on a dirt bike. At least not far. Thanks for the videos.

You should collab with someone who’s good at wheelies and get them to teach you or go to a wheelie school because they are generally pretty good
Why did you stop using the ABS wheelie bar?
Bro. We’re like wheelie bros 😂😂😂😅😅
Keep at it mate 👍 practice makes perfect
I wasn't born with it either! Keep practicing it will come
Have you tried turning it on and off though?
Love your content bro
That was wheelie good 👍
If you pop a wheelie and you go immediately to the side it s usually because your not pulling the handlebars with equal force on both sides
Something I always tell people trying to do new things is get good
GoPro settings next?

I do really love your videos❤️

You need to come to Portugal 😂
Love from Nepal❤️😉
I have recently got a 1994 cr 125, once I get my clutch and fix my rear brake I will try to learn to wheelie
2018 one was so funny 😂👌🏻
Sir further back on the bike and rev the bike a bit higher and when it comes up lean back, you leaning forward as the bike pops up
You do it in first gear right ? I bought that same bike
