So good to hear your thoughts again. I had this in my hand last weekend and then passed on it. I may yet grab it, but I love Uigeadail for the same price around here. Cheers!
Great to see you back and I'm pleased you reviewed the An Oa. It's kind of neglected in the whisky chat in general. I got a bottle when it came out and remember liking the 10 year, which costs roughly the same, even more. I've been thinking recently about giving it another go but watching this review reminds me why I wasn't very excited. I think this expression should be better than it is. It's a little underwhelming and short on complexity and I don't think that's just down to the abv because it's a decent 46%.
I’ll be watching your recent series on Ardbeg. Good price for this one. I’ll have to watch for this, but I’m not as interested in peated Whisky after my Islay distillery tour. Sounds like this one might be lighter with sweet spice and citrus, with a little bitter note at the end.
I got this for £29, I was a little disappointed with this at first but it actually grows on you it is better to let it sit for a while also. Thanks for the review !
Good review Jason. Actually like this but would not buy it at full price though. Start of the year picked this up on offer for €35 ( around £30) the 10 was also on offer for a few euros less in the same shop so got the 10 as well, couldn’t say no.Slàinte
Well done Jason! Great review as always.
Nice to see you back... excellent ...cheers 👍
Great to see you back in front of the camera Jason 👍🏻

I wasn't overly impressed by the An Oa either... It will not be a repeat purchse, especially when I can get Laphroaig 10.

Waiting for Wee Beastie!
I recently finished this bottle, but for me it is bottled too young.. won’t buy it again.. its not good balanced .. but great to see you back online!
Give me Ardbeg 10 over An Oa every day... Corryvreckan if cost is no object.
What is "ex-virgin charred-oak"?
Good price but not eager to try this one.
For me, this is a more fruity and tamed down version of the 10yo. I prefer the latter for less money tbh. Cheers Jason 🥃🇨🇦
Flash AND substance. The great Jason WhiskyWise! Love An Oa. Great vid brother. Cheers🥃🥃🥃🥃
